My darling sister drove me to the airport that warm Sunday afternoon.
She had earlier convinced me to try this trip with one only suitcase.
It was crammed to the nuts, but it all fit.
Check-in was OK, and I got an Emergency aisle row seat on this first leg.
I had the munchies so went an ordered a delicious "Caplansky's" reuben sandwich, pickle, slaw, and an iced tea.
The first leg to heathrow was smooth, and the economy food OK (some pasta dish).
Watched "American Sniper" then part of "Mad Max - The Fury" before dozing off!
The 2nd segment had more turbulence but was only a 3 hr. - 20 min. trip.
Landed on time on the Monday afternoon.
No issues at all with Customs or Security.
My pre-arranged driver was waiting with a sign.
And in the Merc it was a smooth ride into the suburb of Glyfada.
This extravagance cost me 45 Euros.
My pad at the "Brasil Suites Hotel & Apartments" was ready. It had also been pre-paid.
I was wasted as almost zero sleep.
Got woken up by a massive 5 hour thunder and lightning show.
The next day had a fine breakfast (included).
At 12:30 that afternoon, heavy rain again.
Sent out a few text messages for dates.
At 3:30 went for a walk to the coast.
Picked up some mix for the duty-free "Havana Club" I had purchased.
Still raining late in the afternoon.
Lazed around and then went to "Opus" for dinner.
It was full of young people (read: Under 30).
Ordered a zombie cocktail and kingfish. Both delicious. With tip cost me 25 E.
Crashed whenever?
