Although the hotel did have a formal dining room, breakfast was always hand delivered to one's suite.
One needed to fill out the card, the night before, and you could order like everything available if desired.
Today was a scuba diving day.
It was fucking fabulous, with the water at a still summer-like temperature.
Lots of coral. Tons of interesting fish.
I paid 20 Euros extra for the underwater CD which they delivered to me that afternoon.
Dinner was not cheap. Only because the sea bass alone cost 22 Euros. But I didn't really care.
It was another popular place along the caldera cliffside.
Another fine day in the Mediterranean.

Dr J.
I didn't have you pegged as a diver.

Thanks!
I've been diving for 20+ years.
Never have bothered with getting registered though.

I've heard the med is kind of a dead zone for reefs. Any truth to that? Some day I'll dive the med. I've also heard that Greek women are hooking for rock bottom prices due to the financial collapse. Any info there?

The "dead zone" is by the mainland coast.
Predominantly due to pollution and/or overfishing.
These islands are way out. Lots of growth and fish.
No, that is just the proverbial rumour mill at work. Or maybe it applies to "skanks".
Not what I would want regardless.

Thanks for the info. I would imagine too that if the crisis tipped some girls into working, they'd head for Germany and the FKKs.

Really like that when you guys include photos of sights, food and pointers on how to get around. Remember my first trip to Bangkok and all the helpful tips on getting to and from the airport provided by members of this site. Much appreciated.

Dr J;
The sea bass meal sure looks mighty delicious. not into scuba diving and not my cup of tea. tried one time in thailand and it didn't work at all with me; strange since i could accomplish other more demanding skills in the past ( trained as a parachutist in the army ). guess as you get older your body is not as tough as it used to be, oh well, time is unforgiving.
