I was to wait across the street at another hotel.
I had the name of the outfit handy, but wasn't sure when a black bus stopped just down the road, and then roared past me.
Yes, that WAS the bus!!!@
So I called the receptionist, who called the agency, and they arranged for some dude to come pick me up via a motorcycle. Now that was a blast flying down the road, holding on for dear life.
We caught up with the tour when they stopped to visit some ancient ruins. I passed, and went for a beer by this sea side bar instead.
Lunch was not included in the 38 E. fee.
But it was on a fine stretch of sand appropriately named "Black Sandy Beach".
These pre-selected restos are usually part of a pre-paid business scam. My 4 prawns, and salad and a 0.5 litre rose set me back 39.
Another fine segment was the "Santo Winery" tour. Here they tempted you by offering 3 different samples. But no more than maybe 1-1/2 ounces each.
I scored a bottle for later.
Finally to the town of "Oia" overlooking "Amoudi Bay".
This is where hordes of tourists descended near sunset for these majestic shots of the sun dipping below the Med.
I couldn't be bothered. so just relaxed with a double burger, with double cheese, and bacon. Plus a carafe of rose which I got on the house.
Got back to the hotel, well after dark, i.e. 9:20 p.m.
Another pretty fine day.
