Left early to beat the crowd heading to the "Teleferiqo".
The taxi driver wanted to wait for me. This was a DUMB move.
The "entrada" was $ 8.50 USD.
It was a little too cloudy, but at times they would clear, and the sun would quickly show itself.
I expected to feel worse at 4,100 metres, but the air was pure & clean.
Met a young couple from Buenos Aires.
And a ex rock n' roller and now starving artist from New Hampshire.
We tried to hike to the top of the volcano, but the cloud cover got so thick you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Was up there for 2-1/2 hours.
The driver, Carlos was waiting as he said. But his wait time got tacked on to his fee. Read: $ 37 USD. Dumb move on my part.
