After years of lurking on this site and others, I decided to post my experience and observations from a recent trip. There use to be a bunch of reports on Rio, so I usually felt no need to add, since they mostly read the same and there wasn't much I felt I could add. But due to the dearth of new reports and updates, here is my recent experience.

By the way, I originally posted this on another site a couple of months ago. I don't log on to these sites as much as the past, so sorry for not posting back then. Also sorry for the lack of photos. I barely take any photos these days.

I recently completed a trip to Rio. As usual a good time can be had if you know where to look. The exchange rate fluctuated between 3. 55 to 3. 47 during this trip. I was getting 3. 57 at a cambio in Copa.

During this trip, I sampled almost each types of puta outlet available. Although I love the termas, the major termas are just getting too high in cost. Not that I can't afford it, but I don't like blowing money like that if there are cheaper alternatives. Plus I like to save money so that I can take more trips.

Anyways, the only terma I hit was 4 x4 (my favorite) and the prices were still the same as my last trip late last year -$320 are for the basic 40 minutes, either $340 are or $400 are for the 60 minutes (not sure which because the sign doesn't specify and I stick to 40 minutes mostly), also does not include the $50 are entrada if you don't get a girl before 6 pm for the promotion deal. 4 x4 wasn't as packed with guys as usual, but there were plenty of garotas. I ended up getting a couple out of there for 40 minutes each.

I hit an old reliable garota named Lara, who is a 25 year old cute brunette, with a fit body, boob job and wears braces. Been seeing her there for the last 3 years or so. She usually stays to herself, but is constantly going up. Those who are into backdoor, she is definitely down. She is definitely good to go if you are at 4 x4. Sorry she doesn't allow photos.

The other was an old 4 x4 vet Vanessa age 28 with long black hair. She was featured in Playboy and had her picture posted on the wall at 4 x4 for a while a few years back. Never did her in the past, but she gained quite a few pounds. Not usually my thing but she was coming on strong, so I went for it. Good hit, did the standard fair (BBBJ, etc), but the cream of the crop was the BBBJTC at the end. Recommended if you don't mind the extra pounds. The total damage was $710 are, which included the entrada and a coulple of drinks (water for me). So basically, at the exchange rate at the time $200.

That was about the extent of my regular terma run. The rest was made up of prives, mini termas, VM, freelancers and my regular babes. The remainder of this trip report will just be a quick rundown of some of the more well known spots I hit, so nothing new to most on here.

As always, everytime I hit Centro, I always peep my head and check out all of the mini termas or clubs as they call them. As everyone who frequents these spot know they are not the best of places as far as cleansiness and quality of garotas, but you can always find a diamond in the rough. The one that usually stand out to me is Vanessa Club 05 on Leandro Martins 03, which is on the other side of Presidente Vargas after you make a left from the Uruguiana metro station. Like all the other ones in the area the prices are as follows: $50 are-15 minutes, $60 are-20, $75 are-30, $85 are-40, $140 are-60. No entrada, but they will try to tack on $5 are for condoms, so make sure to advise if you bring your own. I couple of spots will charge a $10 are to enter, which includes a couple of drinks.

I've hit Vanessa's a few times and to me they seem to have better talent than the others. It's usually packed with Brazilians. Another place that's usually packed is Club 13 on Praa Olavo Bilac 13. It's on a side street off of Rua Buenos Aires between Uruguaina and Rio Branco. There is another spot two doors away Club 15, but the talent there is usaully not good, hence less crowded. I was finally able to hit 13, when there was less of a crowd and the talent was halfway decent. Although I will say I hit one tall gorgeous mulatta babe with a great body named Keila. It was late, so I hit it for the lowest price available before they closed. Again not the best of conditions, considering I have to stand with my shoes on to hit, but can't be beat for $14 bucks and a dime piece, who could compete at any major terma in my opinion.

I hit the regular Centro prives like Duda, Bel Parzer, etc. Unfortunately for me, I usually don't roll out to Centro early enough to catch them fresh, but the talent was decent. Again can't beat the $150 are for 40 minutes.

Made it to VM only once this time, at night as usual. As always, you have to make numerous stolls through the halls to find a good or decent one. In my case, my patience paid off, when I found a nice blonde morena clara named Taty standing outside of a bar in the left hall. Cool chick, hit mostly doggy, while standing as usual, but she laid out a large clean 4 x4 towel on the cama and convinced me to lay down while she rode cowgirl to complete. Not bad for $65 are for 30 minutes.

Hit a few other spots in Centro, but nothing that stood out.

As far as Copa, it's the same old stuff. Mabs was mostly bad. Mostly the same chicks every night. Of course there were a handful of beauties, I even spotted a beauty I did at 4 x4 last year over there. As usual the chicks are mostly going for short time, which could range from as low as $150 are to as high as quoting $800 are from what I heard. I personally don't go out of my way to pick up anything over there. I usually average maybe one babe a trip from Mabs.

Like someone said earlier, Dolce Vita appears to be going downhill since Balcony closed. At least it appears that way from the outside. Casablanca, which is around the corner from DV on Rua Duvivier is still going. But I haven't been able to spark enough interest to check it out. Sensoo on Princess Isabel, which is around the corner from Mabs, have been pretty aggressive, going around trying to get guys into their club lately. Never been inside, but I know it's the same type of clip joint like Franks (closed), Ciccolina and Barbarella.

I went into K-night formerly known as Kalabria (everyone still calls it that) once (second time ever). The cover is $50 are which includes 2 drinks. As stated before, it's more of an after hour club, with mostly the same garotas from Mabs and those that prefer indoor hooking. They also promote banging on the premises downstairs for $50 are. I gave it a shot after finding a nice cutie and negotiating $150 are, since I'm not too crazy about bringing girls back to my apartment, especially from Mabs. I would advise anyone considering this at this place to forget about it. I did it once, years ago at the original Kalabria and the room wasn't bad, but at K nights it was horrible. It was a leather sofa, funky chair and a table with a TV. In other words, somewhere to lounge and watch TV, not made for banging at all. Anyways, despite my disappointment, the girl was cool and pretty good. We made the best of it and got the job done. Lesson learned.

Although the Copa scene is mostly dead during the day and early evening, it's not all a wash. Delerio Massagens (Hilario Gouveia 66,201) and Eden Spa (Av Nossa Sra Copacabana 583,401) are the best deals going over there (IMHO). The prices are about the same as the downtown prives at $140 are for 30 minutes and $200 are for 60 minutes (they charge an extra $25 are if you use a credit card). Although I didn't hit Eden this time, I believe it's the same price as I stated above. I hit Delerio twice and the talent was fairly nice considering I hit it late one day and when it was busy the other. I would recommend Laisa 27 year old mulatta with a nice body and nice natural tits. The best I've had out of that place.

Last time I was there, I was ripped off and paid $250 are for an hour each time, since the guy outside walked us in each time. Thanks to this site I found out the real deal and knew what not to do next this time. Anyways, the Egytian guy is no longer hanging out in front of Delerio, but have moved over to the building where Eden is located. Bottom line is, don't let these guys take you to any spot. The business will charge you an extra $50 are, which is used to pay their commission, unlike the old taxi deal with the terma, which didn't come out of your bill. So beware of this scam. As far as the the other massgae spots in Copa, I wasn't too impressed last time I checked them out, so I didn't even bother this time.

Overall, Rio is still a good deal if you hit the right spots, especially with the current exchange rate. Unfortunately for some, it's not the point and click type of place like it was in the Help, MP and ho beach days. If you are still stuck on the way it was back in the days, you will have a hard time there. Do your research and have a plan. Back in the days, even if you came in blind, you could always run into cool guys you could hang with and check out the different spots. These days there aren't as many old vets going down (at least not in Copa), so you are on your own mostly. Anyways, nothing new in this report, that haven't been said before, just my 2 cents.

I suspect that things will start to get better soon after the Olympics have passed through Rio. Olympic villages become a large infrastructure vacuum that needs to be filled somehow and the expected revenue from sports throngs will all have been divvied up. Looking forward to reading posts a year from now.

Nice report, EL9. I share your sentiment that Copa is pretty much dead except for Eden and Delerio. There are guys who enjoy the Mabs scene, but as the locals say, "não é minha praia."

I'm waiting to return to Rio until a couple of months after the Olympics. I want those girls to have pissed away their Olympics earnings on new shoes and iPhones and be hungry and in need of rent payment.

VM is always worth a visit. Even if you don't find that diamond in the rough, there are few more interesting places for people watching. Grab a table and a bucket of beers and take in the show.

BTW, I have need told by several girls at 4X4 that Vanessa is well over 28. Nevertheless, she usually puts on a good show.

Thanks for the report Ee2002. You have indeed been lurking a long time! LOL. Great info. I'm assuming some of these spa chicas at places like Eden and Delerio are up for sharing their # and meeting outside? Would be curious what the $ expectations would be for short and long (TLN) time.

Bwana Dik - Joetrekker here - I have been following you and your advice since my first Rio Trip back in 2003 - are you still here in Rio?

I am down in Rio now for the month of November 2016 until Dec 6th - staying in an Apt Ipanema by Posto-9. Great deals on Apts. now, since business is slow after the Olympics ended. The exchange rate is still running 3.25R to the USD. I rented a very nice 2 BR Apt a block off the beach in the middle of Ipanema for $45.00 per day including the utilities and all fees.

My first days here were this past weekend I re-hooked up with a honey from my last trip down over NOV. of last year that I had met at MC and stayed in contact with.

Sounds like I am about your vintage, so I am take your advice to heart, allow some recoup time between gigs, since I have a month to play this time, no rush to do it all.

On my trip last year I found 4x4 and MC to be the best Termas of choice, old standbys.

4x4 is the best on your wallet and for the fun and action, but quite a hike and time eater getting to Centro and back. Never had much luck getting the 4x4 girls to come to my apt at the beach, to much trouble for them I guess.

MC cost a little more but is more convenient I had better luck getting the MC girls to come back to my apt where you can work out a better deal for more time with them.

Last year I checked in on Solarium and Centaurus, which were a couple of my favorites from 2003-2005 in the good 'ol Help days. I think they had to try harder there back in those days due to competition from Help and other places. I was greatly disappointed at both of those last year - especially for the premium/ more dinheiro they charge. I think that is due to the reduced competition, the market at work.

I plan to check out the newly extended Metro Line to Barra and see what the action is like there, since it is more easily accessible.

Bwana - From your OCT 2016 Trip, can you offer your thoughts on some updated tips, suggestions, recommend some good clubs or online sites that you used and liked to meet some new girls - from your OCT 2016 photos it looks like you did pretty well for yourself.

What kind of money and time were you paying the freelancers you hooked up with?
