Got up before the alarm.
Went down the street for a ham, mushroom & cheese omelette and coffee.
The owner arrived early.
All good, and he returns the $ 150 USD damage deposit.
A taxi was waiting out front, and 20K later I'm at the airport.
I must have been at the Check-in counter for 30+ minutes. I knew something was wrong!
My CTG - BOG flight was leaving much later.
She got me a boarding pass for an earlier one, but on STAND-BY.
No way! ALL flights were FULL.
Did I make the connection? NO WAY!
By the time I retrieved my luggage - the airline counter at El Dorado was closed.
Somehow at the Avianca counter, I got them to re-book me for the next day. $ 160 USD for the privilege.
Then needed a room.
An "Aloft" rep came by, called for their shuttle and made the reservation.
An OK place, near the airport.
Note: I debated going downtown, but decided against it!
Ordered room service and cracked open this mickey of rum, I had kept.
A few drinks later, all was fine.
Wrote out some notes, as both a summary and epilogue.
At 9 p.m. went down for some Terriyaki chicken and pork spare ribs with fries, and a order of delicious onion rings.
Washed in down with a glass of red.
The damage was 88K.

One thing i always hate is airlines messing with travel arraingments. for me is a big no no !!!
If i run into these problems with airlines i tend to stop patronizing such airlines for good !!!
