i did brief chat post almost two years ago with some commentary on p burgos and fort bonafacio. i made another trip over the chinese new year this year and thought i'd put some basic info here on the main board.

i flew from bkk on cathay. i'm in the middle of a manila/hong kong one month trip (in HK now). so the ticket is bkk-hkg-mnl-hkg-bkk with a stopover in hkg after the mnl leg. i paid just under $400 for the economy ticket.

my friend has a condo in fort bonafacio. also known as 'the fort', 'bgc', and/or 'bonafacio global city'. it is an old army base that has been developed into it own 'mini city'. i don't know much of the history of the base but there is a large cemetery with US soldiers buried there.

what i like about it is all brand new, no dirt and grime, etc.. close to airport and makati/p burgos. my airport taxi rides have ranged from 40 minutes at peak evening rush hour (airport to the fort) to 15 minutes with no traffic. p burgos took 30 minutes at peak weekday evening traffic and 10 minutes on a saturday night. there is also a casino near the airport. i went there last trip but not this one.

i stay at F1 hotel. i paid just under 100usd a night and got upgraded to one bdrm suite. which is really someone's condo that they put in a rental pool. the breakfast is excellent (buffet) and they have a decent pool area with bar. they've got a lap pool and dipping pool.

sometimes i woke up too late for breakfast and ate at IHOP. had lunch often at an applebees (never ate at on in the US before). dinner at agave, a mexican place. in the fort, there is a walking/outdoor mall called 'high street' with a bunch of shops, restaurants, etc.. so all these spots are easy walking distance.

for p burgos, i would start off at rogues (CH Link) and then go back and forth between kojax (CH Link), bottoms (CH Link), and plan b (CH Link). i liked kojax the best but there were some decent gals at the other three. bottoms has a 'suspenders' show where the ladies are almost topless, bikini bottoms with suspenders covering the tits. but they don't do that show every night so it is hit and miss.

i've had such a busy schedule in HK (where i am now) that i've gone somewhat brain dead on the pricing in p burgos. i think the beers were 150 - 170. i remember doing a happy hour and paid 50. the bar fines at kojax were 2900 (i do remember that !!!) and the ladies asked for 3000 s/t and 5000 l/t. rogues was cheaper than that on the lady front and they open early (i think 4pm).

i ate a couple dinners at howzat (see howzat.ph) which is an easy walk from p burgos. the food on p burgos is horrible (beyond horrible !!!). so it was nice that my buddy took me there one night. then i went a couple other times when he didn't go out as he had to work. they had some beer deal where you paid a flat fee to drink all you want. i think it was 300 and you could drink from 5pm to 8pm. one night a bunch of guys met up there and we all went for that deal. i didn't bother when i went solo.

i know manila is not big on most peoples list of spots to go to enjoy. but the fort really is an oasis and i really enjoyed the spots i mention on p burgos. i spend alot of time in bangkok go gos and these spots were on par with bkk.

if someone needs more info, etc.. just ask and i can connect with my friend to get more specifics if i can't answer myself. i know one member went to p burgos back in december and didn't have many good things to say. but he didn't go to the bars/clubs that i mentioned. maybe this will help another member enjoy their trip. good luck.

Thanks for the info, buick. I spent a couple of nights in Manila, in transit, during my recent trip. I didn't quite know what to do and didn't really plan ahead, ended up at hotels not near enough to the bars, and decided to get some sleep for my travels. Next time I don't want to take a pass like that, prices notwithstanding.

I recall a time, about 4 years ago, when 2000 peso bar fine in Angeles included long time and a 1000 peso tip was for exceptional service.

Are these crazy girl prices unique to KOJAX or a scourge that has spread across the country?

manila has always been more expensive than AC. i don't think there is any danger that AC will end up with manila pricing. and kojax is the most expensive on p burgos. the sad truth is the bars were full and the ladies were being bar fined right and left. it was chinese new year so that might explain the big business for the ladies.

i'll have to check an older report of mine to see what pricing was a number of years ago.

i've stayed in a number of different areas in manila and the fort is by far the best. once i stayed at the peninsula near the mall that has the havana cafe (i think greenbelt mall ?). that was okay but hell traffic to get to p burgos and EDSA. when i stayed there, they'd just had a failed coup and a tank drove through the front door of the peninsula. so they were offering discount rates, i think i paid $125.

i checked my report from 2008. barfine on p burgos was 3000 and l/t was 3500. not much of a change over the 9 years.

P Burgos has fallen off since my last time, fewer clubs and much higher pricing. Barfining a gal from a bar is costly and the talent levels have dropped quite a bit.

I was there in January, found a stunner at Bottoms. Her BF was $3,000 AND she wanted $5,000 for her! Needless to mention I passed on that ticket. Lots of Freelancers, $2,000 to $3,000 for the most part but be advised about half of them are Bakala's.

i couldn't quite figure out what was going on with all the freelancers. many of them handing out 'massage' cards with phone numbers. some looked too young, some weren't girls, etc... one i talked too would only go to short time room nearby. i was reluctant to do that as you never know who knocks on the door, maybe a cop who requires a payment.

The BF's were 3900 at most places for past few years.

I'll check but I don't think they are 2900.

Bottoms was 2000P before 7pm as other bars may have been cheaper in afternoon.

Rouges and a couple other places BF was 1800.

And of course you need to pay the girl seperately from the BF.

Past few times I've been there the talent level was way down so I don't bother going anymore.

FA - have you been to kojax ? that place is loaded with talent. i spend most of my time in bkk so i have plenty of go go's to enjoy. but i can't stop thinking about kojax !!!
