Chapter Two; Went for milk and cookies and ended up in Barrio Barreto... WTF !!!
-----------------------------------------------
I decided to see how things have change or not in Barrio Barreto, so i got me a ticket on the Southern cross shuttle and left from the BrassKnob hotel like clockwork at 9 am. beleive is a steal travelling in comfort for a mere 600 pesos !!!!
This SCTEX highway is one of the damn good things pinoys should congratulate real well. aside from a quick stopover for snacks, i was in no time in Barrio and checking in at the Pub hotel.

Really there is not much to do in Barrio , other than chasing pussy. did look aorund a bit in Olongapo and inside the former US naval base, now called the SBMA, have to admited, it looks better now than when the Navy was a tenant.always was of the opinion than it was long overdue for US forces to vacate this bay and let pinoys run their own affairs anyway they see fit, but, my own personal view, nuff said!!!!
This was just a few nites stayover so i wasn't much concern for daytime amenities. in this respect flipland lacks way behind thailand in daytime activities. I am more of the beleive than when my retirement finally hit on the face i would most likely go to LOS rahter than staying here munching adobo ha ha ha !!!!! no way !!!!
After visiting a friend, married to a pinay and having a computer store in Olongapo i got the chance to see some of the bars alongside the road in Barrio. Finally i got this sexy gal from the former catwalk, now called some other nonsense, still the same pussy place.
this gal was worth the pesos i forked out to get her for the nite. only thing i did let her go early morning for the continuous whinning to leave. would i get her again, probably so.

that evening after my "bed olympics", went to the sit'n bull restaurant for some needed nourishment. this is a good feeder and can't go wrong patronizing this stablishment.
I pretty much went there during the few days i was in Barrio and this is an example of a b'fast deal
The pub hotel is a good choice if staying here. it has all you need to survive while having fun. rooms come with AC, fridge wt minibar inside, cable tv, clean room with suitable bathroom and no problemo bringing the catch of the nite. lately i've noticed a small rise in their room rates but i hope the manager don't go overboard in this respect. i was just a little annoyed when i was moved a couple of times while there to another room.
This was a fact finding update short trip for me and no way this place can compete with Angeles city. AC just got way too much flesh to start with, still, a nice break during a vacation, as long as there is enough pinays to keep you busy. some other landmarks like mango's still there but i was not impressed at all. Rooftop is a good alternative but the wifi sucks. save to say the nightlife is very limited and it all depends if the quality of girls is healthly enough to merit a trip to this town.
On this time the best places to eat were the taco shop and the sitting n' bull. as far as bars, my prime choices were the office, catwalk and the rat shack.
it was from this last one where i pulled this spinner that left me with trembling legs !!!!!

On my last meal the night before i left town i saw this new hotel on del Pilar street (same as the sit'n bull eatery). kept a business card just in case i would like to try this place.
One of my last tasty meals here and i was satanding tall and looking good next morning for my ride back to Angeles city.

What's the name of the new hotel on del Pilar St.?
I couldn't quite read the neon sign.
It's the age-old P.I. problem, not much to do during the daytime.

Mr. Baxter;
I will send you the info as soon as i get it together, no worries. i'm doing errands and got nothing with me.
this hotel is kind of new. i didn't notice much clientele when i walked into the lobby for info. I would stay there at least one night just to see if it warrants patronizing it or not.
pretty much all hotels in Barrio allow bringing girls to the rooms, so that is a given.
there is this hotel named AMBON, is just along the road on the right side , just as you passed the churh. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! is a shithole !!!! i did go one night to check the place ans is no good at all, at least for foreigners. maybe for pinoys is a 5 star but i wouldn't stay there, even if it is for free !!!!

Thanks MP. From my experience, most of the hotels in Barrio can be characterized as shitholes so the fact that you described this one as new got my attention.
Glad you had a good time on your trip.

Baxter;
will send you an email with this hotel full info. you're right, Barrio can't really brag having top notch hotels, but, this is the philippines; so it has its limitations.
I keep tabs of only a few but very few hotels i would stay in Barrio. nothing compare with AC.
