I stayed in an AirBnb overlooking the clock tower. I could literal open my balcony doors and check out the chicas from above. Perfect location, and I did verify with the property manager that I could bring people in and out freely. This is an important tip from (I think) PussyBoy and very wise to follow the advice to make it crystal clear with the hotel/apartment that you will be bringing other people into the room...unless you only want to utilize the $20 love hotels for short term encounters.


Maybe this was overly transparent, but this is the message I sent to each apartment listitng on AirBnb:
I will be traveling with colleagues, and each of us are staying at different hotels/condos. I understand some hotels or properties have strict rules against allowing access to anyone not registered at the hotel. However, I will need to collaborate with the colleagues so we will need space to meet. Does your property have restrictions on visitors access to the rooms?

My first night, Friday, I did a lot of walking around. Allowed the touts to show me their suggested destinations including a strip club and several other nightclubs. Nothing GREAT but a lot of good. Then in one club a block or 2 away from the clock tower (don’t recall the name, but does it matter) I met Esmerelda. Her “friend” Marcelo got involved and said she was sick…fine go home, but I need my phone back. Then she said she didn’t have it, she left it in my room. Thought bubble “but before we left the apartment you said you put it in your purse???” Then Marcelo starting yelling loudly that I hurt Marcela and was trying to fuck with her…and it was 3:00 am not a lot of people around…geez, I didn’t feel too comfortable with the surroundings and just wanted to be behind the safety of my locked apartment, so I split.
Got back to my apartment and no phone. I used “find my iPhone” which showed the location in Castillete neighborhood near Olaya Herrera. I went to bed thinking I would get it back after sleep. When I awoke the phone was turned off so I couldn’t find it, so I reported it lost to my mobile provider and Apple so the phone was de-activated and can never be used again on any carrier or network in the entire world, so it is a $1,300 paperweight at this point. Later that night, it was turned on again near the same location but quickly turned off. I thought of going to the police with a map of the location it was last turned on…but never did.
I was without a phone the rest of the trip…hence no PICTURES to share.

Ok, after being disappointed about the phone, I went out again on Sunday night but hung out for maybe 2 hours waiting, hoping Marcela would come back just to give me my phone. I still had hope that she was as sweet as she had been the entire night (right up until the end). Another young chica kept watching me, smiling, etc. I was interested but wanted to wait for Marcela (which unsurprisingly never happened). I immediately grabbed her as soon as I picked my jaw off the pavement. She was fantastic.
