Slower pace today need to rest up a little. Met with Amilicar, fella I used once on my first trip. Talked with him on many subjects. Real intelligent guy classy and gave some good insight about Peru it's economy and mentality. Might not use his services again but wanted to meet, refresh and hopefully put my name and face firmly in his head. We did have a huge miscommunication. I suggested I might use his services tomorrow. Would he be available if I called around 10 or 11AM. Seems he thought I wanted and expected the meeting and had 3 gals waiting for us. He did call to see what happened. I apologized and met him later. Gave him 50 soles $12 American and he was thrilled to death. Encourage anyone who visits; take time to befriend the locals. They're among the nicest people I have met and can really add some comfort and fun to your trip. Might have met another fella that offers services similar to Amilicar. Chatted for about 20 minutes, of course he wasn't tipping his hand too quick. Next trip will meet and see what he has to offer. Gut tells me he's not the high-class fella Amilicar is and might lack a little integrity, stay tuned.

I failed to exchange money at the bank, Sunday their closed. I prepared for battle and used on of the guys on the street. Exchanged $100 American. No problem, gave me 3.50 soles for a dollar. Next day the bank posted 3.54 per dollar. Guess the .04 is his profit? Didn't even try and short change me. Maybe these guys aren't so tough after all.

All the female part of my friends showed up at the hotel and was finally able to get my buddies phone number. Chatted with Karen setup a meeting at 8PM tonight. Real excited about meeting her and getting my side trip set. Rested and relaxed the rest of the day.

Showered and got all "done up" for my meeting with Karen. Counting down the minutes finally waited in front of the hotel for my date. Eventually with great excitement I heard my name called out. Turned, looked and a four-letter word came across my lips. I can't remember what name this gal gave me but it was not Karen. It was the gal Amilicar fixed me up with, young student. Real young as I found out her 21st birthday was in a couple of days. Now she was a nice gal but of all the girls I was with she rated last. Gave her high marks on everything but the sex. Remembered I spent a little time tutoring her. Not the type of gal I would take on a trip like this. After the e-mail, two phone calls I didn't have the heart to send her away. Thought about taking her out for dinner, she suggested we go to the room; she didn't like spending so much time talking to a gringo in front of a hotel. Someone might see her. I had plans of breaking my "no repeat performances" rule, but not with her nor in this manner. She stayed about 3 hours and it was a little better but still not to the level I had experienced and looking for. Eventually gave her $30 American and sent her on her way. Did have thoughts of meeting her each year. See how she progresses and what she learns from year to year. Eventually cancelled that thought, she ended up being a real pain in the ass!!! Called my buddy and setup a meeting for tomorrow. Really need to get this fella working for me.

I thought it would be great and go along way if I had these gals plan the trip with me. I'm really unprepared but still have a few mom and pop tours I want to take. Decide to wing it. Chatted with the people at the front desk and they had a brochure for Budget rental car, close by. Bad choice and would not recommend you use their service. Had dinner at Pizza Alley and my dinner waitress wanted me to spend tomorrow morning and afternoon with her and the male part of their staff. Thought it would be nice and they could show me a little more of Lima. Going to be a busy day.

Finally headed to Tequila Rock, damn it's getting old but new destinations are in the near future. Of course looked for one of my Karens and no luck, DAMN!!! I was chatting with a gal (Viviana) when Mann44 showed up. I wasn't interested and let him know. He eventually left with her. Looked around and saw several gals that caught my eye. I simply asked Viviana about her opinion of one of the gals and boom, off she went and she brought the gal over. While chatting with Kathy I asked if her and Viviana were friends. No, but the girls have no problem helping each other out. Guess it's true and goes to great levels. It was obvious that I had no interest in her (Viviana) but was still willing to help fix me up. Kathy wanted to know if I had ever been with Viviana, no. She seemed relieved for some reason. Nice gal of course struggled with the language and eventually realized she knew almost no English. Couple of dances, drinks and we decided to leave. She was from the northern part of Peru. Very underdeveloped and primarily what one would call living in the jungle. Once in the room I believed she grew up dirt poor. Mom and dad could not afford bras for her and that huge chest hung low. The session was wonderful and typical of my previous experiences. Great BBBJ, as much sex as I wanted and she was getting into it a little. Did have her leave early, didn't want to deal with the goodbyes in the morning as have a lot of plans to nail down.

One word of warning on exchaning money in the street. Guys who do this are almost always there to screw you on the exchange, pass counterfeit currency, or short you by counting bills they show and folding some back when they give it to you and keeping it.

For these guys to be legitimately exchaning money, they would have to be charging something on the exchange or charge a transaction fee. Either that or they are saving and speculating on US currency which is unlikely.
