Had a 7 am flight on Monday morning post superbowl and Tampa international was buzzing following the Buc’s win the night before. The lines were long at the delta counter but moved quickly. I was restless in Atlanta, seems kind of silly to fly 400 miles north to turn around and head south again, but the ticket was (almost ) free. Arrived on time at sjo, again, long lines at passport control, it seems 3 flights had arrived almost simultaneously. Took about 35 minutes to get through. Not surprisingly, my bags still hadn’t come up on the belt.

Arrived at the Presidente about 3pm. Checked in , unpacked and had a shower. I was anxious to get some action. Decided to go around the corner to Arte’s for a cheap hour of massaje con sexo. Turned off the main road and proceeded another hour and 45 minutes on this testicle churning dirt and rock road through the banana plantations. We stopped at a Chiquita processing plant, very interesting. Drove through the thriving suburban towns of Los Angeles, New Virginia and Maryland. I think I dropped a kidney and my spleen on the road near New Virginia. Finally arrived at the boat, I paid my obligatory 50 colones to use the port o pottie rest rooms with no paper or soap. Boat ride was great we saw howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, iguanas, turtles, and later a very large crocodile that was sunning himself ( herself ? ) on a rock on the shore. Stopped in beautiful downtown Tortuguero for lunch at a guest house/ hotel. Excellent home cooking of mackeral in a creamy red pepper sauce, plantains, rice and beans, a “casserole” of yucca, chayote and other vegetables, and a crème caramel. Walked around the town a bit. Long drive back to San Jose. Took a sorely needed long hot shower and headed up to the blue marlin. Fended off a few of the pros and hooked up with Cynthia, 21, tica. Blue Marlin is still very happening, with mostly Ticas, Nicas, and Dominicanas. New Fantasy is open 9 -9 I suggest a day time venture there, even mid morning. Idem is still very good also and if you dont like the selection at Idem, cross the street to Eros. Key Largo didnt warm up until after 10PM.

Sorry BillC, as my trips are so infrequent, it seemed pointless to ask for numbers. They would be kind of hard to miss, the one had a pretty radical spike type hairdo and a piercing below her lower lip, the other had a tongue piercing. Both were about 5 feet tall, maybe 5' 1".
