All told, 18 days (sorry, lost count in the report...funny how that happens in Rio), 23 girls and one visit to Corcavado. I have discovered my inner monger. I’m trading in my Lonely Planet for a year subscription to CH and a lifetime supply of Astroglide. And, of course, a new robe and flip flops.

Seaman-that was a very good report. I liked that you kept each day short and concise and it was fun to read. As you say, sounds like you're a convert now-no more Lonely Planet. Rio will do that to you.

Thanks for the laughs...great report. The "tourist" vs. "monger" war is something I've been struggling with while planning my upcoming first trip to Rio. I have a feeling I'll be seeing more VIP's and less Sugarloaf after reading your story.

Seaman, Great reports. Needless to say you have stimulated my thinking about my upcoming trip in April. The VIP set with Tatiana sounded great. Shouldn't every monger live out their Hugh Hefner fantasies? I think an afternoon in one of those suites is just what the doctor ordered. Well done.

Its hard to believe that I had two trips to Rio during the course of your adventures. We had a great crew in town and some wild times. Despite a few glitches, the VIPS party was one of the highlights of my year.
Comparing robes, I have to say that Termas 65 wins hands down for comfort. I remember our conversation one day about the merits of the different termas. Ha ha!
Great report and I am sure we will explore some part of the world again together at another time. Maybe your inner monger needs to see Buenos Aires?
