Just came down to Pattaya Beach from Bangkok. Wish I had stayed in Bangkok. Having been a Pattaya chauvinist in the past, I never dreamed I would report something like this, but the selection at Nana Plaza is better (denser) than it currently is in Pattaya, at least according to my tastes.

Pattaya, as always, is an endless sea of bar girls. Newcomers, FYI: There is so much action in Pattaya that if you just visited each place for a minute you could not possibly hit every place in a single day, no matter how early you got started. You have to see it to believe it.

But it seems to me there's more chaff in PB right now, whereas there have consistently been cuties lately in the Nana Plaza clubs. (Nana Plaza is in Bangkok.)

There are also other places in Bangkok, of course. One place I have not seen mentioned here is a German Biergarten on Sukhumvit Soi 7 (forgot the name). Full of freelancers. It's a ten minute walk from Nana Plaza. The selection is not as good there as at Nana; just an FYI.

General Notes on Pattaya Beach
It's a smaller town that is all sex workers. The place is crawling with them; they are everywhere.

Unbelievably, in many ways (like the "hobby") it is much faster paced here in PB than in Bangkok. You are much more likely to get "busted" butterflying here. And more likely to spot "your" girl with another man.

PB is also crawling with men that are here for the same reason you are, and many are not friendly. Drinking doesn't make that any better. You are more likely to get into fights here. FYI.

Welcome back from the darkside Darth. I have long maintained the superiority of BKK girls over their sisters in Pattaya !!!

I was in Bangkok in early January and made a 2 day sidetrip to Pattaya. I find Pattaya to be OK for a couple of days but I do prefer Bangkok. During my stay in Pattaya I found several bars that had a shortage of girls. I was at one gogo bar at about 10pm where the mamassan was not allowing bar fines before midnight. This was due to the fact that several girls were barfined early and the mamassan was concerned about running out of girls too early. I was talking to a guy from New Zealand about this and he said he had had witnessed the same thing in several bars. There is a major change in the attitudes of the girls during these periods where bar fines are not permitted. All in all I still had a good time in Pattaya but 2 days was just about right for me.

TJ, the Soi 7 Beer garden has been mentioned many times in previous trip reports on this board. It's one of the best places to get a freelancer in the day time. It is definitely on our radar screens.

IMHO, if you are in either Pattaya or Bangkok for more than a day and can't find any fine ladies you are either rediculously picky or totally lame. I give Pattaya a slight edge for being somewhat less expensive.

TJ, I was there a week ago, and the good go-go bars on walking street were where the lookers were -- Supergirl, SuperBaby and Happy A Go Go. Carousel was ok and so was Dollhouse. The number or good looking girls this time around were fewer. I also noticed that the good looking ones good barfined earlier than in BKK.

Tony's disco had a good samplying of young freelancers.
