Hey, this is my first report, so bear with me if my reporting skills are not quite up to par.

Since San Jose has been reported on a million times, I will try to keep myself from being redundant (and boring everybody).

I have studied in Costa Rica, so I know the country pretty well. However, I have never really experienced the mongering scene of the Blue Marlin as most of you all know it. So I decided on my last trip that I would take a few days off to see what it was like.

I booked a room in the Del Rey so that I would be right in the middle of all of the action. I have heard some reports that they are notorious for losing reservation, so just to be sure, I brought a printout of my reservation. However, when I got there , they seemed to have everything in order.

My room was okay, nothing to complain about, but I dont understand why the hell they had a lock on the refrigerator. Is it to protect the gringos from the greedy prostitutes?

On my first night, it was a Friday, so naturally the Del Rey was packed. I found a seat at the bar and started to drink. After about five minutes, a colombiana wearing a "punk" t-shirt came up and we started to chat. Long story short, she started drinking shots of whiskey, and me imperials and we ended up in my room. Nothing spetacular to report except for the special treatment that I got. After a pretty crappy uncovered BJ, she started licking my asshole and fingering it. I've never had this done before, but I found it surprisngly erotic.

After it was all said and done, the subject of money came up, but it wasn't the usual kind of negotiating. She asked me how much I wanted to give her. I then said, well, uh, how much do you want me to give you?...She then replied..well I dont know...Needless to say, it was kind of awkward, and I wanted to just get it over with, so I offered 20,000. She said that was okay, but she wanted another 10,000...I just kind of laughed and said No. She got the picture and took off. I slept peacefully.

The next day I woke up around 11am and went to a resturant to eat. Man, there is seriously nothing to do during the day in San Jose. I got bored and started to walk around. Eventually I stumbled upon Arte Masaje y Sauna.

When I stepped in the door, I was told that I had to wait a little bit. The immigration officials were checking the papers of the girls working there. I sat down and started chatting with one of the girls. It was kind of funny to see all of the men walking in, seeing the officials, getting scared and leaving. The girl next to me said "Supongo que el no tenia ganas" for each one. I thought it was funny. As nice of a personality that she had, I noticed something...she had seriously forgotten to shave her legs, for like a month.

When the immigration officials left, it was time to choose. I quickly scanned the room of about 15 girls, but there wasn't any real knockouts. I would have picked the girl I was talking with, but damn, her legs needed shaving. I instead chose a sweet looking girl with a nose ring.

I couldnt have been happier with my decision. She gave me a massage for about 10 minutes. My original plan worked fine. I was working on my second beer, about ready to go across the street, when one of the girls started chatting me up. 2 beers turned to 5..5 beers turned to 6, and I was pretty well buzzed. This girl wasn't anything spectacular, but she seemed like she wasn't your typical Blue Marlin girl. She used to live in the US, but got divorced. Now she is supervising the construction of her family's house in Escazu..She had a level of intelligence about her, and she was making good company...so I decided that I would skip the strip club.

We ended up going to the Pueblo...nothing eventful there. When we got back to the hotel, we were both pretty buzzed again. Brought her up to my room. Tried fucking, but in my drunken state, it would have taken a miracle for me to get off. However, when I was fucking her, she kept on saying this annoying shit..like "si papi, siiii..papi sii..." it was obviously the same kind of shit that she says to everyone.

After an unsucessful session, she fell asleep, and I started to watch TV. For some reason, in my drunken state, I called the front desk asking to extend my stay (I can see how the Del Rey can get addicting)..however, the guy told me that I had to call back in the morning. I wnet to sleep and forgot all about that the next morning.

I woke up to the chica grinding on me. She wanted to fuck again. Reluctantly, I slipped another condom on, and she began her routine of "si papi..siiii"..Needless to say, it was another pretty crappy session.

It wasn't a total loss though. It was about 11am, and I had to check out at 12. The girl started folding up my clothes and helped get all of my stuff together. It seemed like that she was really digging me. She started asking me when I could see her again, and gave me her home phone number...I walked her outside and got her a cab. She must have been pretty confident that she would see me again because she didn't ask me for any money. I gave her 4000 for the "taxi fare".

Here are a few afterthoughts on my adveture:

1.) I didn't pay very much at all for what I got. I think that it had to do something with how I presented myself. I dressed nice and chatted with the girls a lot. I think that if you put an effort into making yourself attractive, they will give you a better session and/or save you some money. Speaking spanish is key.

2.) You would think that a girl from the Blue Marlin would be less "hardened" than a girl from a brothel such as the girl in Arte y Sauna, however, I found it to be completely opposite. It was the girl from Arte that seemed to truly enjoy it.

3.) The two girls from the Blue Marlin had extremely used pussies. It's almost as if they have shut that part of the body down and cant experience any sexual stimulation.
