Introduction
I wanted to visit the south of Brasil to get a good look at Gauchas so I decided on a long journey that would take me to Rio, Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and then back to Rio, March 7th to March 29th. I used FF miles on American. As soon as you use miles instead of regular purchase, list of available flights is much shorter but I got a good itinerary with flight from DFW to GRU, only downside was 2.5 hours wait at GRU to GIG.
