My plan was as follows:2 weeks in BA,improve my language skills,see as much of the city as possible,buy some clothes,find the best steak in BA,and of course,women.
I decided not to speak any English on my trip.This meant avoiding all gringos.I can talk to all the gringos I want to at home! I also brought two empty suitcases and only the clothes I had on.This would force me to go out and buy much needed clothes immediately.
I rented an apartment I saw on the internet for $500US for 2 weeks.The owner was a nice older woman who owned the other apartment across the hall.At first I was a bit apprehensive about having the next apartment from the owner but she never presented any problems.
First day I went shopping and found some nice clothing stores on Cordoba and Florida.I later bought some leather jackets on Murrillo 500-700
There are 2 whole streets of leather here,at better prices than Florida Street.The store at 679
Murillo {called NEXT} seemed the most helpful in making me what I wanted.Ask for Sandra,I believe she speaks a little English.
My language skills deteriorated here.They pronounce LL as SHAH. VILLA becomes VEE-SHAH,
LLAME ME is SHAMAH ME,YO=SHO,and MIGUEL says his name is ME-SHEL because he thinks it sounds more European!Most irritating of all was the use of VOS
{More verb endings to learn.}They do however speak a bit slower than anywhere else I had been.
I went to all the places I had seen here on this board:Newport,clubs in Recoleta,clubs on Suipacha,cafes on Cordoba,and the other usual haunts.I found the reporting to be fairly accurate so I see no point repeating the same old been there done that.I will try to stick to new places I happened upon.

Great report, I must say that I haven't been to BA but plan to go soon. It seems to me you broke new ground as far as mongering places go. I appreciate the San Telmo info, in Rio I love going to the dancerias to hit on the older women.

Oh two other things, how did you find the places you wrote about and can you supply the location and tel no. of the place you stayed?

Great report Seismo. I've hit a few of those places you named and your info is accurate. Sometimes they are hit or miss. I like how you planned your trip and was adventurous.

It did take a trip or two to get used to hearing Vos instead of Tu or Ud. Everyone down there uses Vos instead. The funny thing is I got used to using vos in other parts of the world including when I went to Mexico and they ask me if I live in Argentina.

There are a lot of options in BA. Thanks for the info. And I hope the dollar gets stronger again. It's down to about 2.75 now and that is a big difference from 3.5 that many of us got used to. All my bills are in pesos now and starting to get expensive. Hopefully it doesn't get too much worse. Real in Brazil is stronger too.

Additional thoughts:I found quite a few of the places mentioned in the above report in the CLARIN dailynewspaper.You might check their website at www.clarin.com
The ads appear in class 59[services].there are over 500 different ads daily.other ads appear in class 32[professionales]MASAJISTAS and SEXOLOGAS.
Some of the Sexologas advertise "with assistants"
full service,etc.

These ads are for all types of services,all price ranges,all areas.I decided to call only the places that implied they had more than one woman to choose from.I felt the odds were better that I would find someone I was attracted to if the selection was greater.I also figured it would be advisable to pass on the many 10-30 peso ads.
When I called,I asked the address and barrio.
I limited my search to Recoleta,Barrionorte,Palermo,Retiro,Microcentro,asI felt my best shot was to stay in more upscale areas.
Pick up the newspaper and call!
You will be surprised what you may find.
There were probably 50 places I had called and never found the time to go visit.
I had several of these incall women give me their cell or home phone # to set up a meeting in my apartment.
Most days,I hit one of these incall spots early afternoon and the clubs after midnight.This gave me 12 hours between pops with plenty of time to go exploring the city and all it has to offer.

there is one of these neat places every block or two.it is a glass soundproof phone booth with a chair and a desk.go in,shut the door,make your calls and pay at the counter when you leave.some of these places have internet access also.calls to states were .75 pesos for the 1st minute,1.25 for 2 minutes.local calls were 20 centavos each,I dont think the length of local calls is metered.I love thes locutorios,NO PHONE CARD OR CHANGE IS NEEDED!

I bet that the CLAUSURADO sign that you saw belongs to Big Boy, the club next to Pueyrredon Affaire (if the paper seal was apoplied to a double door, it was effectively Big Boy). It was closed a year ago, but I guess that Affaire is still open.
