Cuba is changing fast our days and up to date information is now required to fully enjoy a stay. 3 years ago it was pretty easy to have fun in Cuba, all was available and tourists were treated as Kings. All as changed but you may have some fun if you know where to find it.
Girl friend experience is now something hard to get unless you speak Spanish. Even then, if you find a good friendly girl you will soon discover she is afraid to hit the street with you.
These wonderful girls will mostly be found at shopping centers, supermarkets and bus stops. They do not go out at night so you must pick them up before 7 PM. Some of the best bus stops in Vedado district are located around the 23rd and L Street. The best shopping centers are Carlos Terceros, Galeria Paseo and the new Puntilla mall in Miramar district. Some other location might be worth a stop like the Ultra in Centro Havana and the Stores of 5th Avenue and 42nd in Miramar.

Forget the beach to hook with girls - this is over - too many policemen. Girls will not even dare to look at you.
On the other hand, I have a new friend - a girl - who knows a lot of nice chicks looking to establish relationship with foreigners - as friend or girlfriend. This good friend can also be your guide to Cuba nightlife - avoiding being stuck with one of these uneducated guys who will follow you everywhere. She has many good contacts and is always up to date. This is important since everything changes so fast over there – police is closing locations every week while others are reopening.
Since most clubs are closed, the hottest trend these days is underground party. Various types of parties are available - some focus on music style like House or Techno while others focus more on sexual orientation like Gays and Lesbians. These underground parties are on invitation only. A relationship of trust must be established with a Cuban to join these parties. Be prepared to spend one or two days with my friend if you want to explore these underground parties with her. Also note there are only a few of these underground parties per week so do not expect to hit more than one or two per trip. These are fun because you meet regular people. This is a great place to experience the Cuban life and there is a good chance you may pick-up something nice. By the way my good friend expect a few bucks in exchange for her services as a guide – she is fun and worth it. I also give a few things.
Our day street girls are mostly found between 6 PM and 9 PM. It looks like there is now some kind of informal curfew in Havana. At 9 PM – 9:30 PM police hit the street and pick-up every body that looks suspicious. Aside from the Malecon, you may want to walk Prado Street in Old Havana and the Bulevar located between the Hotel Inglaterra and the Gran Teatro near the Central Park.

On the Bulevar rather than having a drink at bars on your right, walk one more block. On your left you will see a location where you may have a drink – I do not recall the name. Sit there and wait for girls to enter this open-air bar. They will all stop by - don’t worry.

On Prado Street the best location to have drink and pick-up is still the bakery Pasteleria Francesa.
Between 9 PM and 11 PM, there is not much to do in Havana. I suggest you hang out to one of the bar in Old Havana. Walk Obispo Street there are a few good ones – Café Paris, Lluvia de Oro, etc. Bar Monserate on Monserate Street was rather quiet.
The Chinese district is also a good option, be there between 8 PM to 11 PM. A lot of girls from the countryside await you there. The Society Chang has re-opened its bar. It is located on San Nicolas - second floor of Society’s building. Crowed is mostly amateurs – take your time as they may get easily offended. To reach the Chinese district, go to the Central Park (Parque Central) and grab a bicycle cab ($1).

11 PM is the time to hit nightclubs and bars. In Centro Havana the Rosalia de Castro is still worth a stop. There you will basically find girls of any shape and forms. Be ready for a lot of dancing and rubbing. Mostly semi-pros and pros will be met there. Entrance is $5. Girls will go from $20 to $50.

Also in Centro Havana, you may stop at Cabaret Nacional located on the Bulevar just between the Hotel Inglaterra and the Gran Teatro. This place is traditional Cuban cabaret, after the show you may grab girls. Some girls are also going there hoping to meet mongers.

Las Vegas Cabaret in Vedado district is similar to Cabaret Nacional but has mostly white girls. Also in Vedado, you may want to stop at Amanecer. Some night they have good salsa show as well as a nice crowed.

If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, have a drink at the Emperador – el Focsa building – or on the other side of the street at el Cornejito Bar – Not the restaurant section. Both are on 17th Street. You will find a mix of pros and semi-pros at these locations.

Havana’s finest can be found at La Maison ($15) or at el Diablo Tun Tun ($10) in Miramar and also at 1830 ($5) in Vedado. These are the location where you will find the most beautiful pros. Expect to pay $75 to $150 depending on your negotiation skills and duration of the encounter.

Diablo Tun Tun is the only location open until 6 AM; other locations close at 2 AM.

Havana has other interesting locations such as:
Sheherazada - At Focsa building on M and 19 street beside the photo shop.
La Macumba – 30 minutes from downtown - Cab $15 one-way

If you follow this report you should have fun. There is always a gem available at any location. My best advice is to grab it when you see one. Before, I was always waiting for something better to come about. Recently, I changed my strategy because less attractive girls are going out.
