Went to Elephant village to do elephant trekking with other tourists. Paid $14 bucks for hour ride through jungle and rivers on elephant, followed by river barge ride with gibbon monkeys to play with and an ox cart ride into village for dinner. Trip included transportation to and from village. Met a lot of Brits and Germans. Not very Americans at all.
Returned to hotel for nap and woke up at 1:30 a.m. My body clock is all fucked up and the bars close at 2 a.m. so I went to some of the local beer bars on Soi 8.
