DAY 1 (Thursday 10/04):

Left at 6PM from Logan (Boston). Long lines before security... that seemed a concentration camp. Anyway, I arrived in SJ by noon (previous connection in Miami) and took the red bus to Downtown (c210). Really, if you travel with only a carry-on, take the bus.

In less than 45 minutes, I arrived at the Hotel El Sesteo, in La Sabana Sur. Nice neighborhood (you can walk by night, quiet, without much noise). El Sesteo is a good hotel to stay, because:
- You have many free services (2nd guest free, free Internet, help in finding a cheap car rental, etc.)
- Pool and jacuzzi.
- Easy parking.
- $45 with tax.
- Dutch owner (speaks English)
although it has some drawbacks:
- Poor hot water service (seems typical in CR)
- Some noise from other rooms (especially during this weekend, that many mexicans visited the town, but more concerned about girls screaming during hobbying and losing privacy).

By 5PM, I started visiting many of the places that I knew in this and other websites.

Blue Marlin: Exactly as described by Don Gordo. Packed with girls and gringos. I chatted with a Colombian girl who was very pushy in getting laid, but I wanted to visit other places. Average 7/10

Eros/Lucy: Nice girls, lets say 6/10

Krysis: They charge c18,000 and, by when I arrived, there were 8 girls, perhaps 2 very good looking. Since the deal is on the McDonalds style (choose, pay, fuck without chatting o drinking something first), I left. Average 6/10

Idem: The place to be. 15+ girls, some really stunning (slim bodies, nice legs, sexy dressed). c13,000 for 1 hour in a basic room and c16,000 1 hour in a "luxury" room. I chose Jeniffer (nica), who has GREAT legs. Paid for the luxury and went to business. Gave me acceptable BBBJ, good sex and a poor massage, but was very simpathetic and easy going. Average 7.5/10


DAY 2 (Friday 10/05):

Club Bikini: Really sucks: c2,000 for admission. Poorly decorated bar with girls uglier than Usama Bin Laden. As many mongers mentioned in other posts, these girls are really pushy and you need to get them away sometimes in a rude way. Some of them dance over the bar. Pitty show, given that their breasts went down as the NASDAQ when they undressed during the show. Average 3/10

Molino Rojo: Other fiasco. I saw only 8 girls, none of them impressive. The bar tenders used to yell and fight, and I saw a pimp beating one of the girls because she arrived late. What a poor profesionalism... Average 4/10

Disco Infinito: I went to El Pueblo to study the environment. THe Disco Infinito was merely good, and that day was packed with couples. I spotted a couple of "night girls", but truly avoidable.

Idem: Again. I chose Tania (another nica), who promised BBBJ but later dropped her commitment (this happens everywhere in the world, and I can assure you that language was not an issue in this case). Anyway, the sex was great and she gave me a good massage.

Blue Marlin: Came back to search girls for Saturday night. I saw two stunning Colombian girls (Pamela and Paola), but they were too demanding (no less than $80 and by no means BBBJ). Excluding these girls, the other were not better than those of Idem. Perhaps a couple of Dominicans, but not more. Blue Marlin is too noisy and crowded for my taste: Too many people screaming ("Mexico, Mexico", before the soccer match) and bumping passing-by mongers in the allies. Anyway, it is a great place because you may find some "gold paticles within the ore" as I did on Saturday.


DAY 3 (Saturday 10/06):

First, I have to tell something to my friends about the country and, more importantly, Costa Rica has excellent outdoor activities, so I rented a car (Daihatsu Cuore, very small, $30 a day with insurance in Adobe Rent a Car) and headed to Jacó.

Be careful: Driving there is difficult. You may get along easily with the manual gear (and you WILL need it if driving in the hills), but you need a lot of attention when driving: Roads are in poor condition and, the mountain parts are really dangerous: Curvy, steepy, with trucks and buses passing along almost "shaving" the frame of your car. Also, there are some "water canals" along the roads in which you may fall and won't get out without a tow truck (not counting the damage for the car you may have to pay).

After 2.5 hours, I arrived in Jacó and got to the beach in a snap. Nice place, cheap "cabinas" (rooms in houses) for about $15-$18. Cheap food, beach town atmosphere (surf equipment shops, bars along the sidewalk, etc.) Then, I went to Quepos (the police gave me a ticket for speeding, and was "convinced" to arrange the issue there, so be careful about the tricky signs along the road). which has not much to do, and headed to Manuel Antonio.

Manuel Antonio is REALLY nice: Beautiful landscapes, nice National Park (small but interesting), and a less commercial touch than Jacó. By the way, not a mongering place at all.

Back to San José, I spotted the Hollywood Night Club on the entrance of Jacó. I wanted to get in but it was closed until 8PM, so I took the 4 hour trip back to SJ (heavy rain while driving in the mountains).

Arrived by 10PM and headed to Elite Entertainment (Calle 32 and Paseo Colon). If I were millionaire, it would be my plce. Believe me: I saw a breasty 60MMM (or whatever you can call that) able to provide more milk than Wisconsin. Really stunning, breasty and seductive girls, most of them wearing small skirts, bikinis and high heeled plateaux.

So, why not getting the girls? The house aslk for $270 for a room ("with champagne", ahhh, very generous!) and $150-200 for the girl. I like the hobby, but I like to screw not to be screwed, so I left the place. However, if I had too many bucks, I may spend $500 in one of these girls. The place has the perfect ambience (the c5,000 for admission avoids undecided people) and very good girls.

By midnight I went to the Blue Marlin (Idem was closed). There, I talk with countless girls and I spotted a small Colombian girls called Andrea. She accepted $60 for an hour and BBBJ, so we went to the Asia hotel. She masters the BJ technique. Man, that was good!!! And she wears orthodoncy ("brakes" for correcting the teeth, I don't know the name in English). She should teach "BJ 101" if a Master program is launched in any university. Very good sex afterwards and some acceptable massage. Overall, an excellent experience.

Before coming back home, I went to Hollywood, another night club like Elite. $250 for the girls (all included, I guess), and some of the 20 girls were really stunning. A downscaled version of Elite. Still expensive for my pocket.


DAY 4 (Sunday 10/07):

With the Costa Rica- Mexico game and being Sunday, the best move was enjoying the pool and watching every possible soccer match (in Boston, I have to pay fortunes to see these matchs in lousy pubs): CR-Mexico, Brasil-Chile, Paraguay-Argentina (happy that our guys secured the 1st position in the South American qualifying games) and Uruguay-Colombia. Soccer overdose.

So, where to go afterwards? To Infinito, since I heard that on Sundays it was packed with lonely girls willing to get partners with green bills. Damn, that was true!: Only foreigners and girls chasing gringos.

A small, petite, blonde tica appeared and got immediately my attention. She was about 4'10"(at most), which seemed a minor (I was about to ask for ID). Gitano, no thats the San Pedro Mall. Theres a big club there called Planet Mall but its not Infinito.

You dont have to know where it is as you can just tell any cabbie and he'll take you there. There are a couple bars/clubs and an open area all connected. Infinito is one of them. I was pretty wasted both times I went there so Im not sure of the direction. Should be about 10minutes from the Del Rey. From what I noticed in my daze it was mostly a fairly young crowd. I saw a bunch of American college kids there both times I went. Locals too, of course, and a couple Del Rey girls sprinkled in. I would say this is definitely not the place to try to go for pay-for play. It could happen but thats the exception, not the rule. Also, id bet alot of the more grizzled older Park Hotel Del Rey gringos might feel a little out of place. In other words, this isnt a Del Rey type pickup place where you can walk up to any girl and proposition her. At least not for $. I was only there twice, and I was busy, and drunk, but I still didnt get the same feel of the place that AndresG did.

Dapple's right on...just ask a cabbie to take you to Pueblo...Infinto, is very similar to a US smoke filled crowded disco...however at "Pueblo" there is another disco, at least 2 restauraunts and 10 small bars there as well...I enjoyed walking around the area and watching the young Tica's dance...a few were on the tables shakin that fine ass :-)

The college kids are probably attending a language school. Quite a few of the co-eds that I was in Intensa with liked going there.

I think for $200 it was either overnight or all day.
