I thought I'd offer a quick update on the scene here. To be honest it has changed ALOT in the past few months since I was here. I knew there were definitely hotties moving away when they were all telling me that fact when I email with them.

First of all the weather is nice today. I was worried because while I was in Rio I kept running into guys that told me it was raining over a week in BA. Not the case with me. Today was sunny and brisk but didn't need a jacket. Was in the low 60's. Tonight was in the low 50's.

Exchange rate today at several places including Metropolis near Etoile was 2.84 today. I exchanged a few hundred dollars but it was kind of annoying waiting in line a LONG time. There is another exchange place down the street on Quintanna before the Disco store with the same rate today and no line.

I met up with Mayri and had a nice lunch at Sarki's in Recoleta near the Four Seasons Hotel. I think Andres recommended it and I thank him. It was a good choice with good service. Was good seeing Mayri again. I still think she is the best option for a monger or anyone else needing an apartment or hotel. (mayra@argentinago.com).

Finally met up with Ezy in person after almost a year of emails and conversations on the phone. Very good guy. Exchanged some phone calls with Moondog but it sucks that none of us going out have cellphones this trip so it's very difficult to arrange meeting up. No biggie because I don't like going to a club with a ton of people at the same time.

Met up with UWPhoto, Leo, Hector. We started early. We checked out the apartment scene at Santa Fe 1707 and was sad to say the selection was grim. Only 6 girls were there with none of them doable by most mongers I know.

Obviously it is hit or MISS so we went to Cutty Sark. Another miss. Granted we started out really early in the night but still. Checked out some place called Periplo which Leo wanted to go to. Sucked. Didn't even sit down. We also went to Cattos which was a miss.

We dicided we better eat so we head into some restaurant downtown. It looked nice but we discovered the prices were higher than the Recoleta restaurants and the quality of food came no where close. I'd avoid it. Hopefully one of my partners in crime will remember the name of it.

Anyway we do a few more things that don't work. We start our night at Playwoman. WRONG! This place has gone so far down hill but I guess it's like watching your pet dog get ran over by a car. Part of you can't believe it. You don't want to look but you do just to make sure there is any hope of it surviving. Well I think it's safe to say things aren't improving anytime soon. Although I did talk to my favorite waitress there Mariella. She knew a few of the trips I took which I was surprised about. Then she told me she asks Jackson about me and one time he told her I was in Montreal so she was proud that she knew that fact. We had coupons for 2nd drink free so we ended up paying the rate of 20 pesos per drink. I believe the short term bar fine is still 2 drinks and the all night bar fine is 5 drinks or 100 pesos. We left after giving Mariella a VERY nice tip. Definitely ask for her if you can and tip her if the service is good. She is a very honest waitress. Talent sucks so we left.

Then we went to Hook's. Downtown. This place still isn't my favorite. I didn't really see anyone with potential. Maybe one or two but nothing to get all excited about. I actually contemplated going in the bathroom and crying. :'( We hung out a while, checked the scene out at the other places around and then I told them I'm going back to Recoleta. We went to Madaho and there scene there while being more lively didn't have what I was looking for. There were plenty of girls but also plenty of dudes too. The ratio looked equal..maybe even more dudes.

The funny thing was not a whole lot of guys were pulling girls out of this place. The entrance is 20 pesos per person now. The girls drinks are 35 pesos each but only a one drink exit fee. I talked to this girl with a good body and cute face. She was totally cool and nice but asked for 400 pesos at first for a 2 hour session. I kept asking her if she was sick then drunk???? She laughed. She would counter with.."pero soy buena en la cama". Where I would respond, "i'm great in bed too..." She just cracked up. She then counted with 300 pesos. Then I said 200 and she said no. She stuck to 300 for a while. I through out 200 pesos which I think should be the max for a short term session. She then intelligentely said, "200 pesos but 50 peso tip if you are complately satisfied". Deal.

I like that strategy anyway. Sometimes I offer that deal with girls. Gives them that incentive to get it. She was great in bed. Her downsides are her skin isn't as great as I thought. You can't see it in the club...it is hidden with makeup. Also, she has a boobjob. She let me feel them and swore they were real in the club but after inspecting they are silicone. Which is ok but would have preferred natural. She attemped CBJ but I hinted I wouldn't be TOTALLY satisfied with Covered and then she laughed and didn't. We negotiated 2 hours and she stayed the 2 hours. She just left now.

A few other guys I'm with are getting quoted higher prices too. Some hotties have definitely left BA. This was be a slow time of year or just a totally different scene now. I was here for 2 weeks last year this time and it was amazing. If tonight was any indication for tomorrow then I will throw out the phrase I've been using the last 5 months, "God Bless Brazil".

Hopefully it is better tomorrow. I am gonna try some internet girls and apartments tomorrow. Then having my amigos over for my fiesta at my apartment and then dinner out at a swanky place, followed by hopefully a hot girl with a hot girl from a club. Chris...I might have to go to Black's to get what I want.

I never told you about my big ranch in LA. All the beautiful girls from BA are out here visiting me. Opps, another just came in the door. Sorry you spent all of that money going down there.

It's 3 AM here in Buenos Aires and I'm sorry to report I came home alone. This has to be one of the first times ever where I hit the club circuit and came home alone. The highlight of my evening was hanging out at my party with my amigos and having dinner in Palermo Hollywood with the gang. There were about 17 of us including Moondog, Ezy, UWPhoto, Hector, Andres, Mayri, Leo, Roxanna, Adrianna (webmistress of www.platynum.com.ar and www.escorts-argentina.com.ar) and a few dates and other dudes I never met before.

We hit some normal club and then Leo and I went to Madaho's and it was totally dead. Stopped by Solid Gold, Affaire and they were empty too. Typically Saturday nights aren't that good but tonight was the worse night I've ever seen. I stopped by Black's and it was pathetic. At least they lowered the cover to 20 pesos which included one drink. I was curious about the fee for girl's drinks. The first waitress wouldn't give me a straight answer and then I asked this girl that I've seen before. She remembered me. She told me the drinks are anywhere from 50 pesos to 80 pesos each but now there is only a one drink minimum exit fee. Maybe Black's is learning to lower their prices to gain more clients. In any event, Black's also sucked. Most of the girls there were older and the guys easily outnumbered the girls.

I went to a few apartments today with my amigo Hector. We went to Santa Fe 1707 yesterday and it was horrible. Today we tried again and was horrible again so we left and this time the madam got pissed and basically told us to hurry up and leave as we were walking out the door. They were nothing special but we were both ready for a session so we partook. I had a decent session but my buddy hated his and vowed never to return. The interesting thing is the girl I saw told me that the girls there can refuse to see a guy if she doesn't like him. She told me that she often times turns down guys if they are (1) ugly, (2) fat or (3) disgusting or all of the above.

It's probably worth a try to see if you like it. You are under no obligation to stay. Their # is 4826-2859. It was 150 pesos for one hour and 200 pesos for 1 hour and 15 minutes but "complete" service which I'm not into anyway.

I don't care what anyone says.... The hotter girls definitely have moved on to greener pastures or at least they weren't around the past few days. I even tried calling internet girls today and was 0/8 which is rare. I really hope it turns around. The city is still beautiful and the people here are amazingly kind and generous. I love the city more than ever but hobby wise it just isn't the same. Also, the prices have creeped up. Many girls must have wised up because many are asking or demanding for higher prices which is disappointing. My buddy UWPhoto is talking about flying to Rio for just one night before he leaves.

Even girls like Sandy from Escorts-Argentina.com who was making a small fortune here is gone. She has been gone for a few months now. When I asked Adrianna tonight why her picture is still on the site she told me she is hoping she comes back. Many girls from Platynum I called today had disconnected phone numbers.

The last time I was here the exchange rate was 3.25. As other posters have mentioned, not only is it more expensive because of the exchange rate but many restaurants and other places have raised their prices so yes there is a "double whammy" effect. Still restaurants are the best bargain around. I'd strongly recommend coming to enjoy the city too. The last few trips I've actually taken time to do the tourist thing and see more of Rio and Buenos Aires. It's a beautiful place. It was great hooking up at dinner and enjoying a good company for a few days, and nice to see everybody.

With reference to the lack of girls, it was Saturday night, and not the best for selection. Also, as you mentiioned, many of the girls have left BA for greener pastures. Some of the girls are in Mexico City earning 10,000-15,000 U.S. dollars per month. Many are in Miami, Cancun, and two just left for Madrid. I know at least 30 girls who I knew over the past few years that are not now in BA. That being said, there are still very many beautiful girls in BA, and there always will be.

Times are changing for the Cafes as well. Whereas Orleans and Exedra used to be best during daytime business hours, now the qauality has gone way up around the midnight to 2:00 a.m. time frame. Last Friday night at 1:00 a.m., there were 35-40 girls in Exedra Cafe, and it seems to be this way on other Friday nights as well. YMMV, but it is worth taking a look.
