I spent Memorial Week-end in Santo Domingo, DR. I wanted to go to the Remington Palace which I have never been to before but things did not work out. This was not a sexually productive trip for me.

First, the information I had for getting to the Remington turned out to be misleading. I read on TSM that it was on Ave. Independencia, # 625, near the Jaragua Hotel. My first night I spent an hour looking for it without success. I didn't want to risk having a taxi drive me all over places I didn't know so I opted for Lapsus. The place was super crowded; every girl was taken. I went next door to Tabu. I picked an average girl, which is good looking for Tabu, and had a mediocre session. The price was DOP1,500; 500 to the club and 1,000 to the girl. Soft drinks were COP50 and trgere was no cover charge.

The next day I explored and found the Remington. The address was supposed to be 625 and I think it was, but the street numbers are really screwed up because the building across the street was #1091. Anyway, I came back at night and found the place was closed!!! There were 2 clerks out front who explained that since that Sunday was Mother's Day the girls had the week-end off! (Mother's Day in DR is apparently the last Sunday in May.) They offered to get me a taxi to another club where some of the girls had transferred but I declined (my dislike of taking taxis at night to places I don't know). I had been on my feet all day and was tired so I passed on girls that night.

The next night I went to Lapsus. It was not as crowded as before. There were a fair number of decent girls, a couple of whom other guys beat me to them. I settled for a sexy enough girl who turned out to be very mediocre in bed. Lapsus raised their prices again. It is now COP1,800 to take out a girl. COP800 goes to the club and 1,000 to the girl. On top of that there is a COP60 cover charge and soft drinks are COP60. I don't like the mercenary atmosphere of Lapsus which seems to have gotten worse. I don't think I will go back there again.

My last night I decided to pass on sex because the quality available semeed to be not worth the bother. However, in my daytime sightseeing, I passed two other clubs which seemed to be new. I was hoping someone here would know something about them and I could visit them on my next trip.

One is called Doll House Gentleman's Club. It is located on the Malecon way west near Ave. Alma Mater beside a big apartment complex called Villa Marbella. The other is also on the Malecon but east in the Old City. It is called Monaco Night Club.

Has anybody ever been to these two places? Can you give us a 411 about them?

Sorry to know that your trip was not productive.

I am happy you found Remington Palace. As you know its hard to find this place on your own, can you please post explicit directions/landmarks so we know how to find it? For example, what is on the opposite side of Remington Palace?
