Day Seven
Friday November 16th, 2001
“And Now, I Will Show You ONE More…”
Today was the day we were going back to Bangkok! Overall, I had a really good day yesterday and I also enjoyed my evening very much as well. Nui was fantastic at Sabai Land and Rung was pretty cool to hang out with. I paid her 1500 baht for the evening’s services (although I also blew a lot on drinks and such that night) and she left.
After meeting up with Dart, we proceeded downstairs to get out by the posted checkout time. I believe our rooms at the Eastiny Inn ran around 1000 baht ($22 US) per night. After checking out, we still had to secure a taxi ride home. We left our bags with the receptionist and they put them behind the counter. Dart, being suspicious given his earlier experience took his more important bag with him. I also did the same, but left my newly purchased suit and other bags there. They were out of public sight, so I imagined it would be ok.
Dart headed over to the Soi8Net internet café and I walked around to check into to travel back to Bangkok. There was an Eastiny Travel Agency right in front of the hotel, so I went in there to check into a hiring a taxi to Bangkok. During some our earlier walks around Pattaya, we found one travel place that would take us back to Bangkok in a taxi for 800 baht ($18 US), but I could not remember where it was. Eastiny Travel said it would be 1300 baht ($29 US). I agreed and paid for the taxi. The driver was at lunch, so I informed the lady I would be at Soi8Net, which was right down the street. I asked her to please come get us when the taxi arrived.
After catching up on email and current events, the lady came down to the cafe and informed us our taxi was ready. Dart and I retrieved our bags from the Eastiny Inn and in a short amount of time; we were on our way back to Bangkok.
While traveling back to Bangkok from Pattaya and seeing the route for the first time during the day, I was surprised with how “built up” the route was. For some reason, I expected almost no buildings, gas stations, etc between Pattaya and Bangkok. But it was never a very long distance before you came across a gas station or building, or something else.
As we were traveling back, I started thinking about the great overall time I was having in Thailand and how much I enjoyed all my experiences so far. It was then that I began to wonder what I could do to extend my stay. Only two things needed to fall into place and I could spend an additional week here! For a good portion of the ride to Bangkok, I was thinking about how to accomplish this.
As we approached Bangkok, I recognized the familiar elevated highway. This time, we were not on it, but under it as we approached the city. Our taxi driver then found his exit and before we knew it we were approaching the familiar green and white sign that said “Nana Hotel.”
We asked the driver to drop us off at Majestic Suites. Again, this is not really a good idea because you can’t stop in front of the place. After circling the block once, Dart mentioned the AM/PM as a good place to drop us off.
We got out and crossed the street. We were welcomed back to Majestic Suites with smiles as the bellboy and security guard opened the glass doors for us. Thinking nothing of the fact we had no reservations and it was a Friday night, we both asked for rooms. They didn’t have any. What? “Maybe you come back at 4pm if some people don’t claim their rooms.” Dart decided that he was going to check out the Nana Hotel and Nana City. I decided to check out the Grand President. It was around 2:30 or 3, so I hoofed it over to the Grand President to see if they had any rooms. They didn’t and neither did the Royal President or President Park. So I just as quickly hoofed it back to Majestic to wait for a “possible” room opening with Dart.
He said NanaCity had some rooms, but I was more inclined to stay at the nicer Majestic Suites. They brought us some water while we were waiting, which neither of us touched.
At 4pm, we started filling out the check-in cards. Whew! We had rooms. I ended up getting a Deluxe and Dart got the Standard Room. We cleaned up a bit and then headed out.
I had this new found curiosity towards how badly I got ripped off with the $90 suit I bought in Pattaya. So as we headed out that day, I stopped by Majestic tailors to inquire and ask a few questions. Their suites started at $150 US and went up front there. However, I didn’t really get too many questions answered there; I just stopped by to inquire about price.
As we continued walking down Sukhumvit, I stumbled across another tailor shop with an Indian out in front. Still curious to get my questions answered, I stopped to take a look. The Indian in front asked where we were from and upon getting this information, yelled to another Indian in the shop, “Hey, these are my two friends from America, give them the special American price.” Which I took to mean, “Hey, I found these two suckers from America, see how badly you can rip them off.”
Anyway, we continued in to look at materials. According to the guy I was talking with, the only difference in the quality of suits was the material that you purchased for them. Labor was cheap and abundant and no one in town did any better work that the other. This guy also admitted what I suspected, but what the guy in Pattaya did not admit. He said all the tailor shops around here use the same factory and the same people to make the suit. Not every shop uses owns a factory as that would be too expensive.
The two materials I inquired about were silk and cashmere. When I mentioned silk, he asked what kind of silk. Fuck if I knew what kind of silk I wanted. So he pulled out some Thai silk and some Chinese silk for me to feel. The Thai silk was a lot rougher and the Chinese silk was soft and smooth. I asked if this was 100 percent pure silk and he replied nothing is 100 percent pure silk. It was all mixed with another material, whose name escapes me now.
He said the bigger question was how much of that “other material” was in the blend.
“I will show you ONE more” he said. And he pulled off some Chinese Silk that was 90 percent silk and 10% the other material. It was soft to the touch the way I liked it. Then he said, “And I will show you ONE more” and he pulled out some Chinese silk that was 30% the other material and 70% Chinese silk. Truthfully, I could not tell the different too much in the touch, although it did not appear to be as soft it was still hard to notice. He explained that the 30% blend would feather more easily after two or three cleanings.
I don’t remember his exact prices, but again, I believe they started at about $100 US for the 30% blend and $150 US for the 10% blend. This was only for jacket and trousers though. After hearing this, I suspected I got the 30% blend in Pattaya. I was convinced after finding the answers to my questions and ready to leave. I think I may have even mentioned that I bought a $90 suit in Pattaya.
Upon attempting to leave, he started explaining to me the difference in materials. He said if someone came off the street and mentioned they could get a $50 dollar suit down the street, this would put him in a dilemma. He was not about to lose a customer over that so he would whip out some cashmere material and make the suit for $50 dollars. He then said, “I will show you ONE more” and he went over and pulled down some material that said it was Cashmere from England.
“You see this material here,” he asked? “See how it says Cashmere from England. It is made not 2 kilometers from here. We don’t have to worry about trademarks and copyrights. So when someone comes in quoting the price of a $50 dollar suit, they get 100% pure polyester.”
“And I will show you ONE more.” He then pointed to his wall and said the side to the right was all the fake cashmere, pure polyester. On the left side of the wall was the real cashmere. After a few more “I will show you ONE more” and feeling the different material, I was again ready to leave. I didn’t know what I was looking for or anything about the material, so touching it actually didn’t mean much to me.
If nothing, I still didn’t know what to make of everything I had heard and if I was being bullshitted or not. But at least I could use what he said about the feathering and watch the suit I had just bought. I wasn’t about to get another one at either place for quite some time anyway.
I thanked him for his time and said I might be back later. I also asked for his name and card. The name of the place was Intact Tailor, and he was the owner Mr. Happy.
After leaving, I joked with Dart about how many times we heard, “I will show you ONE more.” I was still thinking about my suit and I was trying to figure out if I had been ripped off for $90 or not. I commented to Dart that I think I probably got the 30% blend, but then Dart made an interesting comment that put me a little more at ease.
“I think you are alright Xen,” he said. “Think about the overhead. How much does a storefront on Sukhumvit cost to operate versus a store on Beach Road in Pattaya?”
That made me feel a little better and somewhat satisfied, I stopped dragging Dart into tailor shops and we continued walking down Sukhumvit.
We ended up making a quick survey trip to Darlings. I think this place had sentimental value to Dart and he recited memories of a very good time here on his first trip.
Once inside I spotted one, maybe two targets, but we decided to grab a bite to eat first. We found this Italian Restaurant and eat there before heading back to Darlings. There was a girl there in the front row that Dart pointed out to me and said she would be his choice. I agreed. For some reason, I don’t think Dart went up here. Maybe he wanted to scout around some more. I was ready to get after it and she was by far one of the most active girls there smiling and trying to get our attention. So I decided to take her.

Her name was Eat and she was 23. Her number was 17. I think the price here was 2500 baht or $56 US. I was still in the habit of doing what everyone who is local to Bangkok tells you NOT to do. That is, don’t think of things in terms of what it costs in your home currency. Think of things in terms of Thai Baht and only Thai Baht. I simply could not break myself of this habit the entire time I was there. I always converted things to US dollars and based my decision on what comparable sex service in Mexico would cost. $56 US and I was still coming out ahead of the game for comparable service in Mexico. Plus, I was getting MORE time, a shower, and a massage. So 2500 baht bothered me like not at all, but in reality, that is pretty pricey for a massage in Bangkok and you can find places that have just as good service, if not better, for less money.
Anyway, Eat and I head to the room at Darlings and they are pretty nice. Another round bed with mirrors all around for your viewing pleasure. We get into the bath and she begins to bath me. Then she asks me if I want to come twice. “Sure,” I said, never one to turn down two orgasms for the price of one. She starts to give me a BBBJ right there in the bath.
Unfortunately, after about 3 or 4 sucks, she starts jacking me off expecting me to come in rather short order. I explain to her that I would not readily come in this manner. That leads her to start sucking my dick in a rapid up and down motion. She tires rather quickly so I suggest we move our activities to the bed.
I noticed that there was not an air mattress here, and there was no slip and slide action at all.
She hopped on for a ride and again, after a short time started expecting me to come. I was completely taken and surprised by this. And for a moment, I thought I was back in Mexico at Adelita’s or Chicago.
After almost a week in Thailand, I know I was lasting a lot longer than I normally do, as I had re-trained myself. In TJ, I can usually bust those out with a little time to spare. And in the Nogales Club Rooms, you have to bust out in 12 minutes.
But I was in Thailand now, and you were allotted 1 ½ to 2 hours per short time session. I always planned on taking as much advantage of this as possible.
So at this point, I turned her over and started doing her doggie style. She continued to yammer away about why I had not come yet, and so for the second time in Thailand, I ended up “Anger Fucking” a girl. I started to pound her pretty hard in doggie and continued to pound her hard until I came. I got so tired of hearing her whiny voice about me not coming. The pounding seemed to shut her up for a bit and I finally came.
At Darlings, the massage took place AFTER the sex. So we went to the tub to cleanup and then she proceeded to give me a massage. Well, during the massage she was no longer complaining about me coming, she was complaining that I fucked her too hard.
“It no good for ladies.” Then the next few minutes she was asking me what I ate to make me fuck so long. She had worked there for a long time, why didn’t I come? I don’t know what the hell her deal was, but this session was way below average for Thai standards. The massage was decent as she did both my back and front sides, but I think she was trying to get me back for fucking her so hard by giving me a harder massage. Which in actuality, I rather enjoyed.
My overall impression of Eat and Darlings are bad, bad, bad and I would not return. 2500 baht is way too much and Eat was not up to the standards I had come to expect from Thai girls. Perhaps there are other gems to be had at Darlings, but I would recommend paying less and finding those other gems somewhere else. I did Darlings mainly for two reasons. Dart took me there, and I needed to do it for the sake of experience and research purposes for this report. But it is off the list and I recommend to all others to cross it off your list as well. Just my opinion though.
I met Dart and we hit Cowboy for a while. We met a gentleman in Asoke Plaza who had just opened a beer bar there. It was right next to Lólita's and was called the Run-Amok Bar. It was an Aussie fellow with a Thai girlfriend that owned the place.
At Tilac, I met a gentleman who worked in Tokyo but was from the United States. He called himself the “token gaijin” for the company he worked for there. I was happy that I actually “knew” what gaijin meant. Gaijin is the Japanese word for foreigner. He was pretty cool to chat and hang out with. Dart was over at Long Gun, probably gawking at Oil. He eventually came back and I introduced him to the “token gaijin”. I didn’t find anything I was interested in so I headed back over to NanaPlaza.
Before I went to NanaPlaza though, I needed to make the necessary arrangements to stay in Bangkok for another week. A quick call back to the US and I was set to spend another week here. FUCK YA! I was pumped. It was like I had a new lease on life! The only other thing I had to do was change my flight to leave next week instead of Sunday morning.
I tried calling Korean Air and I was unable to get through to their US 800-number. I looked in the phone book for the local office or the airport and I was again unsuccessful. After wasting a little too much valuable night life time trying, I decided to try again tomorrow or make a trip to the airport and try to change my reservation there.
Anyway, I headed back out and met up with Dart. Unfortunately, neither of us found any targets at NEP and we ran out of time. Around 1:45 the cops came and closed NEP. I believe we were in Playskool when it happened.
We could still try to pickup someone from the street or one of the freelancers standing by the Nana Hotel. Then there was always the Grace Hotel option that “B” had shown us our first night there.
Dart and I headed out of NEP and watched as tons and tons of people filed out of NEP. The freelancers across the street didn’t look too interesting, so after a little bit of looking, we headed up Soi 3 to the Grace Hotel Coffee Shop.
I was thinking of Dart and how he already had a target there waiting for him in B. He missed out on her the first night, but maybe he could see her tonight. We got there and the place was again crowded. There were some drunken guys trying to balance empty beer bottles on the palm of their hands and then dropping them on the floor. Once was funny, but when bottles two, three, and four broke all over the floor, they were escorted out.
I saw one target and went up to her. Her name was Jac. Damn! This was the girl from my first night there and I didn’t even recognize her. I also noticed a possible target with red hair but decided against her. As the search continued, I got frustrated trying to find a stunner and decided I was going to take off and just call it a night.
Had this been my last night in Bangkok, I would have never done this. But I had just secured (except for the flight home but who cares?) another week there and I had already done 17 girls. I also had the 2 from TJ before I left so I was ok having a night to myself.
I said goodbye to Dart, who was still looking for targets when I left. On the walk down Soi 3 back to Majestic, I noticed B. She had cut off her beautiful long hair and now only had short hair. She recognized me and immediately asked about Dart. Thinking this was the perfect situation for him; I told her he was already at Grace and was looking for her. She got all excited and happy and continued on her way there.
After getting back to the hotel and seeing an older gent with a younger cutie in the elevator, I thought to myself, “What the hell am I thinking not finding someone tonight?” But the truth was, I was starting to have a serious case of “The grass is always greener on the other side” syndrome. I was thinking back to Pattaya and the two beer bar girls that we had seen at the Best Friend Bar Complex: The red head and the tall girl. I was thinking of them and how I wanted to do them. Thoughts of those two occupied my mind while I fell asleep listening to a girl get pounded and moaning in the room next to me.
