Well, it is hard to really describe AC to someone who has never been to the 3rd world, as have found out talking to some friends.
Disneyland east for adults with english subtitles is still my best description.
My first night there met a airforce retiree, he gave me some valuable pointers about the girls, his first advice was look to see if they have a lot of jewelry, if so they are some what affluent or have been doing this more than the cursory answer of " been here 1,2-3 months", also perhaps more important is see how they interact with you at first, if they are comfortable with you, or scared, nervous, if they touch you somewhat,, etc. and most important was throw out any concept of trying to put a spin on thing here. Yeah, it is all about money,,, but of course that part I understood, however, my curious side got the better of me. No,, not asking the girls or guys why what etc.. look it is probably just as much a power trip to the girls, as it is to some guy who gets 2 girls at a time...... more so,,, while being over in the "real Angeles" it struck me so as the Spanish mentality,,,, the manana mentality,,after all the 300 plus years of rule by Spain, ingrained these people to basically never really question authority. Well enough PSY 101,, on to the real reason guys go to AC.

The Fields bars,, well what can be said that has not already been said. There are the bars that have 100's of girls and the lesser bars.
My preferences were the latter. After all if I want a Las Vegas show,,, well you can go to LV.

Byrd Cage, Tahitian Queen, Welcome Inn, Club Fantastic,DMZ to name a few are places where I bought a few girls drinks, did a TG or two, and had a great time. The girls don't have to be on the cover of MS. PI 2002 for me, but,,, as known beauty is the eye of the beholder. You want to wake up in the morning with a girl who at least looks like one you would not be ashamed to take to breakfast later.

Throughout the trip, some which was spent with a travel amigo Goceltics, and not,,, it always struck me as you watch the parade of people, be it guys 20-70 with a pretty filipina, or even the girls going to work,,, surreal was the word that came to mind. Hey,, I could have been content just sitting and watching the world go by, at the open bar, the other bar,Kokomos... because it is unlike anything ever seen before.

Less I digress, the bars mentioned were only a few.. Cottontails was a rocking place, kind of wild, Splash, liked it,, though the lineup was not what some guys would write favorably about,the mamasan and owner were A1. Illusions, love the 2x1 happy hour. Confettis, nice place, my travel amigo picked up a gem here.
Brown Sugar, impressive lineup,not as many as BlueNile and Neros, but on the level... but somewhat lame in energy. Vegas or whatever,, liked it,, Stinger..{next to it and Exotica?} thought it was nice, some older girls in the lineup,, no problem with that. Really nice waitress.. Shanos... worth a visit.
Dmz, don't hear a lot about this place, liked the owner Tic, the lineup was to my liking,,, small, but representative,,, La Bamba,,,some foxes there, but the runner stories permeate the atmosphere.
My favorites were Byrd Cage, where Daddy Bill made me feel at home, and had a nice BF from here who stayed with me on and off for most of the trip. It was not my plan to stay with one particular girl, and throughout the trip the opportunities were endless, however,,, she became a friend and hope the best always for her.

Tahitian Queen where I hope a certain dancer is still there when I return to see if she lives up to what she said she can and would do!!!
Had fun in there drinking with the Mamasan, two waitress,even danced with a dancer here,,, who tackled me when leaving and raped my tongue, with promises of more and better to come.. damn should have test drove then, cause next time may never come!!
Blue Fox sort of a small lineup, one girl first night there told me she was cherry, another later said she was not,, a return visit had the so called cherry girl,, come over, but hey,,, buzz off, found out she did'nt have too many repeat customers...wonder why.

Superstar, one day had a pizza party there since was the only customer in the joint! One girl from Manila was real intent on coming back with me.
Though, did not BF her, the waitress, and mamasan seemed to push BF'S there was no drink pressure, or anything. In her zeal to show some of her many talents she could give a great hand, neck, and well, other massage!

Unfortunately, it ends all too soon and familiar. The world beckons us back into it's fold to go back to work, or whatever. The expats that live in AC, really wonder how many { disregarding those who own, or operate a bar, restaurant etc.} spend a lot of time on Fields. One told me, he had a regular, and only went to Fields, once a month or so,,,usually with someone who was new in town. Other guys a Brit. told me how he lived there 6 months of the year. There is limit even in paradise I would think.One even has to look at the chances the goverment or at least AC might get a mayor like the one who ran a lot of places out of Manila. Even though a seasond traveler, here in the states told me Manila had a reputation of being one of the "hottest places" in the world. SOme amigos have been to BKK.... I have not at least yet... but AC, is on my return to list,,ASAP or affordable. Simply because you can have as much or as little variety as you want. It is easy to see how some guys fall in lust,,,love whatever with the girls. One must think of how many scams these girls could pull on a guy who is not thinking with his mind. After all,,, no matter what they do for a living,,,they are a WOMAN... or as one guy said once..." well, thats because shes just a STUPID WOMAN,,,,but she's kind, very kind"
Keeping in mind two rules and a guy can never fail,, {and cut both ways},,,
1. Ask me no questions and will tell you no lies... 2. You aren't the first, nor will you be the last, but for this moment you are the one. Maybe this bodes for a philosophy of live for the moment, the end justifies the means. Well, yes and no. I for one am still intrigued by the RP experience. But now, back in the world, at work it sure makes for a great memory, and one that I hope is repeated again and again, though the cast of characters will change... the magic is will still be there.
