I had been Staring at Rio and BA posts for 8 months trying to get the nerve to chose and just do it. You know what I am saying here. You were there or you are still there peering behind your computer screen stressing out over where or even if you should go. Let me help you. Is this a trip for everyone. Absolutely not. I believe our fellow buddy John is proof of this. If you are looking for love dont go. If you think you may want to marry one day, dont go. This place will warp your mind beyond the dimensions of marital bliss. I met two 25 year old guys in my hotel one day and told them they have screwed up any chance for a white picket fence marriage. If you can not afford a second trip, do not go. It will torture yourself not being able to return to the perverted man's paradise. If you have made it this far in to the test, then get off your ass.

Where do I stay?

If you are a rookie, stay at the Rio Roiss. It is very close to every lesson that needs to be learned in Rio. If you are not a rookie then you already know where to stay dont ya. The Rio Rioss was friendly, clean, and the room was big. The bed was a queen, kind of hard. The Shower was very big( two people). Is it as good as a most chain hotels you stay at in the USA, no, but its close enough. The women were all fine with it trust me. It has a very short walk of shame. It is conveniently located to non garota needs such as pharmacies, internet cafe, and food. I will cost you around R$170/ day for double occupancy.(no charge for guests). Take a candle for mood and fragrance setting. I have posted pics of my room under the appropriate places in the threads.

I did check out the Debret. They showed us their ocean view suite for around $120 US. It was nice but the rooms were still small. Inside of the hotel was nicer than the Rio Roiss. Location was ideal also.

Guidance

You are about to be placed in a very large foreign city of many great pleasures and dangers. There were three people I was involved with to help me on this issue. YMMV.

-First Luiz picked me up at the airport. He was on time. I liked him personally. Good English, had no local contacts or pictures in his truck like has been reported. He stated he knew the best place for exchanging money. We pulled over and he went in for me with $1000US. He acquired a rate of 2.40:1. I found it for 2.45:1 next door to my hotel an hour later. Not much but I speak of principles here. He pocketed R50 on that little exchange. When he dropped me off at the hotel he charged R65 for the airport pickup. Guess what, he has no change for my fresh new R50's. Hell we were just at the Cambio. I give him R100 and tell him he can get back to me or make it up. I never heard from him again. I saw him at help during the week and spoke with him a minute. Like I said I liked the guy but he never offered the change or to help me. So my ride from the airport cost me $R150!!?? Yes I am a rookie and I let this happen to me. He stood to make honest money from me. I found this to be puzzling, as there are people who swear by him. Those of you who like this guy should try to communicate with him how important reputation and honesty are in his business. He quoted a night at help with him was R125 plus his drinks.

- Secondly we have Bobbie from Blame it on Rio. He is an American from New York. If you contact them through email be patient. They are slow, but they are there. They made my reservation with only my first name. Bobbie's office is next door to the Rio Roiss. Nice guy but he does not like to offer services in the World of perversion that you are here for. So make your reservation with him and thats all. His travel agency is doing well with the "normal" travel agent stuff. This guy works a lot. He works alot with the Rio Roiss hotel. I received an upgrade on my room that he says happens because he is their biggest booking agent. He charges R$50 for one way airport pickup.

-Last but not least, we have Don from riotrips. An American living amongst the natives. Don speaks fluent Portuguese. He charges $200 US for airport transfers and all the nights and days you need or want getting the hang of the scene. He has a few phone numbers of some local girls in case you find yourself bored. I used him for this 3 times at various times in my trip. Worked out pretty well. He also does apartment rentals. He treated me right on my trip. He likes to have a good time with his clients. Its almost like he would rather be with you than anywhere else. He translated a double date for another southern hombre and me who did not speak the language.

Do you need guidance to have a good time? No, but it makes transition into the underworld so much easier. I am a loner on must things but I am glad I used Don frequently. I will call him when I return just to sit with him outside Help and enjoy his company.

Are your looks important?

Are you wondering if your tired, middle aged out of shape ass can aquire a 10 while you are here. Bet your ass you can. Can a 10 shoot you down....ohh yeah..and also by a 5 even. But why would you hit on a 5? I will tell you a few stories that debate this issue and let you decide.

1. I was in Luomo terma. Sitting beside me was a 65-70 year old white haired man. Groping his dick and kissing him like her long lost love was a cute blonde of 20 years old. Gentleman she was a solid 9 body and face.

2. Same terma. My favorite girl is hiding when I get there. Her friends tell me to meet her in a small room to talk. She was hiding from a gentleman in the bar because she refused to go with him. I don’t know how often they can get away with this, but on this day she did.

5. Help. I meet a guy in his mid 30’s named Paul. Very chiseled handsome face and body. Champagne row girls were eyeing this guy up and down, even yelling at him at times. He could have lowered his cost more so than the rest of us by being this good looking. Funny thing on him, the two girls I saw him with were not my type at all. Goes to show you my 10 is your 7. 6. Help. A beautiful blonde 10 around 21 years old. I see her two nights with a 60 year old man. Not a bad looking fella but damn she's a baby doll.

Yes it does matter in various situations, but you are not going to get every girl you want here. Hey think of it has part of the hunt, even though you can acquire most of these women, there is still a bit of chance there you will score big or get sliced in half. Part of the excitement.

Portuguese

90% of the women you meet will not speak English. I spoke not one word when I arrived and had a wonderfully decadent time. Even had two GFE encounters. Learning their language opens the door to good and bad. They will appreciate that you took the effort to learn and you will save money along your way if you can converse with them. My favorite GFE was frustrated several times as she tried to communicate something important to me that she could not recover from the dictionary and phrase books I had brought with me. However as you well know, if you can converse with them you will get to know these women. In doing so you will open your heart. Some of these women are very sweet. I fell for two of them without getting to know them inside in great detail. I could just feel their soul taking hold on mine. I will try to learn more but I am also afraid when I do I am going to open myself up to heartaches 5000 miles long. On the other hand if you get to know them you might find she is definitely not your type and you never have to wonder anymore.

Feelings

I am a fairly normal guy when it comes to feelings. I am a decent person but I have not been captured (married) in 16 years since I was 21. I am very distance with women in general. Surface contact only is my motto. I thought I could do the same in Rio especially with girls on the program. For the most part I did. I , however found myself having feelings for two of these women. Yes I even shed a tear when leaving one of them for the last time. It may happen to you and it may not, just be aware the risk is high.

Like I said before some of these women are very sweet individuals. My Fav terma girl made me promise I would actually show up each and every time we were to meet. I made it to her friend’s birthday party and she actually cried when I showed up. I am looking at her bewildered and she says “you think I am just a silly young 19 year old, me no so young up here” pointing to the side of her beautiful head. What can you say after that?

You want to come to America?

Ohhh the famous words of a love sick American captured by the beauty of a Latina working girl. Yeah I said it. Twice to be exact and meant it. Not a smart idea I know but hell I never claimed to be a genius. Do not be so sure they want to come. The terma girl was a very happy person. She did not want to leave. The first day I met her on the beach an American called her cell phone pleading her to reconsider his offer of returning with him to the states. She was not interested. I was laughing my ass off listening to this conversation. Little did I know I would want her also in a few days after this.

Health and stuff

-These girls are clean. I never came across one that had an odor on her. They bathe/shower quite a bit everyday. One even yelled at me because I did not get up to shower after our session.

Alrighty then we have made it to Rio. We are settled in to our room. Your tired as hell after the flight but you cant sleep as you are at the gates of what you have been thinking and planning about for months. I saw shopping hours of 1pm-5am among the different venues. I usually slept from 6am until noon.

Termas- Simply put they have the best looking babes on the average. You will find some real stunners inside some of these places. IMHO the top 3 lookers of my trip were from the termas. They also are good at what they do. Performance was above the normal girl on the outside. I usually hit the terma between 5-7pm. I was usually out of them by 9-10pm in order to go somewhere else. Prices are of course between 150-300R.

I liked every termas I went to for the most part. They each have their good/bad points I suppose. If I had to put them in order this would be it. Funny most of the guys I met absolutely swore by Monte Carlo. So to each their own for sure. It will be tough for you to visit all of them, but not a bad problem to have huh.

Strip Circuit/Lido

Barbarellas- What I saw in there on my two very brief trips inside was awesome. I saw two off the chart women in here and many others I would love to play with. Like Athos said in his report, there are too many in here to do in one trip.Yes this place is a clip joint in the worse way. It is going to cost you minimum R100 to get in /out with a girl. On top of that of course these women are going to ask a bit more than Help girls because they pass the test given by the Management of Barbarellas. My GFE of this trip came from here so I lucked up in my choice but could not safari(Dan) anymore here. Get there early because this place gets rocking by 12. GF told me Monday was the slowest night in there, maybe worth a check to see if they are more willing to bargain. She also told me they will tell you all night but if you pop early and they are not tired they like to go back for another hombre. So let them have it on round one.

Two others in the same stone throw block area are La Ciccilioni and Franks. Franks was dead one night I went in too early at 11pm. Not a single girl around. Cicciloini is next door. They had a few lookers in there, (Don had the numbers to most of them in there...) smaller place than barbarellas but not a clip joint. Only R20 in/out. Friendly staff.

Beach- I was there in January and the weather was perfect. Many girls on the beach. You need the language here more than anywhere else I thought. Most of them are probably on the program but not all as I found out one day. My suggestion is to read my day 2 story and learn what not to do. Solution; deal with the guys on the beach head on and you tell them what you will pay them for introductions or grab a cell phone and call someone like Don who speaks the language. Heck just wing it as you would in Help I guess. Maybe other people have better ideas they can post on this subject. The beach is an excellent opportunity for an early afternoon session.

Meia pataca- I visited this place a few times. I liked it but never found someone there. There are a few that pass through for sure. Many of the beach/help girls will go through there. Another good place for early afternoon looking. Never made it to Mabs.

Help- Always the place to end the day since it is open longer than most establishments. Bwana clued me in on a flood of women that happens around 2am sometimes from the other places that are closing. I enjoyed sitting out front around 1030pm watching for a winner to arrive. Many things can be said about Help. Give it a shot. I liked the electricity around this place for some reason. You may not find your 10 inside here, but there will be plenty of others that might satisfy a certain look you may had a hankerin' for.

Escorts- I meant to try this area out. I wish I had tried once or twice. Next time. There were just so many other ways to find them. I did have one of the agencies come to my room with their book. There were only 3 I really liked and the prices were from R400-600 for 3 hours among the 3. I just thought the termas could provide same level for cheaper. However I will still keep on thinking about it. Oh, there was one in her book that went for R3500 for 3 hours. She told me she was famous in the Carnival. Well isn’t that special. I told her I was famous back in East Tenn. Hell, I may even pass for Big Tom from Survivor. She did not see the humor in my story and the price did not change.

What I did for 11 days

I tried to lie down to rest a bit but my mind was in overdrive. I walked around a bit to get my sea legs under me and to piss on the corners of my territory. This is mine and yep this is a good corner also and ohhh I have to have this spot also. Ok, having marked my grounds I grab a taxi to the most controversial terma on these boards. Centaurus. A very short 5R ride. Nice entrance. With bodyguard types in front. I make my way to the counter and knowing I have to pay up front. An extra 10R for using my credit card. Ok I am just out 300R and making my entrance into a World that you may not ever escape. I know you have read the stories about the terma and its guidelines of the robe and the girl you don’t want hanging on your side. Yes its true. I am nice but fail to chat with her as hey I No comprende. Guys the first time you open the entrance door to the bar upstairs will be the start of your life with Rio. There are no words here I can explain to you what you see walking in to this room. Ok I will try. About 60-80 women all staring at you, the new guy who has not chosen his plaything yet. As you have read also, these women are beautiful here. No, not every one of them 9 and 10’s. but a median of 8 is reasonably close to what you have in front of you. Oh there was maybe 15 men sharing the same view as yourself around 6-7 pm on a Thursday. Yes the girl is still at my side like a trained German shepherd. I am wondering if the 10’s do this also. As she is a 6 and no way she is going to be my first in a place like this. The girls watch you to see if you are making contact with the assigned one. Look carefully and hard for the one you want and stare intently at her and she will be at your side in no time. My choice was a very pretty Morena 9 face/8 body. He then tells me lets move on to another girl (red flag #3). I tell him it is ok I will just sit here and talk with her. Reluctantly he leaves. She warns me about this guy, as he is a crook (warning #1). I tell her I will give him a tip for the introduction, as I really never could have approached you. Ok.. She is out of the room by 6pm and I am late getting to my promise to see Camilla. Short 7R ride to Luomo. This terma is a bit more for locals I gathered with its location more away from the beach and in a 2 level shopping center. Center security guards directed me to the proper door laughing the whole way at me. Yes I am a stupid rookie looking idiot and I do not care one bit, as they are a friendly bunch. Inside I find a small reception area. I believe the entrance fee was R30, but I told them I wanted to pay W/CC and they said ok just pay as you leave. Inside this place is a bit smaller than Centaurus but not too much. At this place they have a robe that goes almost to my feet but again no flip flops for my big sasquatch feet, so I wear my sandals in again.

The selection inside was not nearly what Centaurus had offered, but it seemed a bit friendlier. And of course my dearest Camilla. She had her hair and makeup done at the saloon she said just for me. Hey feed me all the lines you want ... it’s my fantasy here. She is stunning in my eyes and just so dang sweet. I am in love with her innocent child like laughter.

Inside help, WOW. Never had I imagined such a place. Have I said that already on this trip? A massive Disco clean (except by the bars funky smell) modern and loud. Ohh and full of women that most likely you can have for the night. The selection is not what the termas were but it was ok because there are so many different types in here. We have all been to the US clubs where you would peer at all the beauties and if you are like me not have a chance in hell with any of them, hence I normally do not frequent clubs in the US. With all that has been said about this place, I enjoyed it. I believe it was in the hunt. The termas were a sure thing. This place was 90% sure, but again this is my fantasy so I can forget about the 90%, so there!

Anyway, had fun just enjoying the energy in this place. Came across my 9.5 a few times. She finally tells me her date did not show up. She quotes me $200 US. Day 3

I take a walk to the pick up area to see who is there. Great report. I visited twice in 2000 & barely a day passes without me dreaming again about Rio. My life will never be the same again. BTW the feelings get worse when you realize just how bad even classy pro's here at home are in comparison.

My first trip lasted 13 days and my second, which was about 4 months later was 10 days. Almost identical, word for word (termas by termas), with your experiences. Americanized women have no clue how to treat a man!!

I am going this summer. I have saved mucho denaro and going to get spoiled again.

just got back from rio about a month ago, and the yearning does not subside, just the clarity of the memories. its so funny to see what a universal experience a trip to rio can be for most men. for those of you about to embark, we all envy you. you truly have no idea, even if you read every report ever written about rio..... and thats the beauty of the whole thing. due to great reports such as athos and yt, my expectations were beyond high. 1 hour into my first therma visit, all expectations were shattered. quite unusual. i spend most of my time plotting my return, which isnt easy with a wife and small child....many tears in my choppe!

To be honest I dont know anymore how he charges or what he charges these days as I use him for apts on current trips..I pay him upfront for my apt...but I can tell you I believe he picks up and drops off at the airport with the $200 rate..plus the guy will never leave your side if this is what you want...action will start in rio (if you dont like the beach as he does not being a severe white boy..I have never seen him there yet..) around 3pm and he will meet you for lunch around 1 or ?? then you will get the terma tour then the terrace tour then the lido tour or help tour....to be repeated daily with whatever cycle you prefer...you will not need him all the time or everyday but you will probably stay with him as he is fun to hang with and many vets still party with him...he does have certain places he will not go..him and Youngtom are in agreement on the high dollar places...his quote "barbarellas is a shithole".."centaurus is a shithole" ..."go ahead and piss your money away"..we get into arguments every time I am down there over these places...
