As Thailand seems to have been wiped off the map by SARS, I thought I'd review an alternative destination with no language problems (as long as you exclude talking with your mouth full!). This will focus mainly on Manchester as that's where I'm based, there are around 100 establishments there ranging from excellent to appalling, due to the competition the prices are significantly less than London.
I'll start with "Sandy's Superstars" the self-proclaimed most reported place on the net.This has not a little to do with their sharing a link with the biggest reporting resource in the UK i.e. "Punternet" (www.punternet.com) however having said that it is an excellent health club as most of these establishments style themselves indeed some wag said recently that that is the reason why actual gyms have glass fronts to stop men enquiring after other services.
Sandy's has an excellent website "www.sandyssuperstars.com" which updates regularly, has plenty of photos of the girls and a virtual tour of their establishments of which there are 2.
They divide their girls into "Superstars" and "5 Stars", the Superstars being girls who have received over a certain number of reviews. Their prices start at £50 for half an hour. They have 2 sites one in North Manchester which is the original one which is small but pleasant and a recently opened one in South Manchester which is a much better set up and right next to the Airport for all you guys who just flew in.
They usually have 4 girls a day during the week and 3 at weekends. They are very busy by local standards , getting anything up to 50 guys a day at each site so they have a booking system where you can get a password and book a girl over the phone. Personally I've never tried it as they are notorious for not keeping to their schedule.
The girls are of a very high standard and there is sufficient of a mix for most tastes.
The ones I've tried personally are:
Patrice: late 30s (despite what it says on the site) but very sexy. She's half Egyptian, very bright and well spoken and up for anything sexually.
Caprice: an American black girl. Very intelligent, attractive and good company. Doesn't do OWO but makes up for it with her enthusiasm.
Naomi: an English black girl again despite the description in her 30s but again don't let this put you off she's great and up for most things.
Leah: very pretty slim mixed race girl, does most things, very enthusiastic. She's early 20s.

As you can probably tell, I prefer black or mixed girls but there are plenty of blondes for the rest of you. All in all a high class establishment where you are unlikely to be disapointed. To be continued

It's funny. You mention Punternet, which traces it's roots back to the old GPPAYS message board. Redsnake was a split off from GPPAYS. This board took over when Redsnake went away.

The founder of Punternet is a great guy. We met at a Cyber Whore Monger Convention (CWMC) in Reno a number of years ago, and discovered we have very similar tastes in women.

I met some of the worst thieves among working girls in Manchester during the mid '80's and mid 90's. Glad to see that it has improved a bit.

You had to have everyting tied down and hid out of sight, because if not, the girl would steal it if she could hide on her person. It was unbelieveable.

Yes, I seem to remember that you posted something about that some time ago. I've never had a problem there at all however the fact that you are American may have led them think that they would never see you again and hence try it on.
I'm intending to go through a few more of the venues so hopefully if you come back you'll have a better time being more informed.

Thanks for the report John. Can you mention a few places that might be good to stay? What hotel did you stay at? How was it and how were the rates? Also, did the prices include entry or everything? Any tipping involved? How far away is Manchester from London?

For hotels the best thing to do is log on to www.lastminute.com which will book you discounted hotels all over the United Kingdom, for instance the last time I went to London I booked the Millenium hotel in Bayswater which has recently been refurbished and is 3 star. The rack rate for a double is £125 and I got it for £50.
In Manchester via that site , at the top end of the scale you have the Lowry which is the only 5 star hotel in the region, it is a really good hotel which a lot of the celebrities visiting Manchester use, Prince was there recently and had you been there a few weeks ago you woiuld have been treated to Pink not only singing in the bar but dropping her pants at the end of the impromptu set! The costs are between £95 & £145 per night. One caveat the service is appalling most of the staff appear to have just arrived in the country as illegal immigrants about 5 minutes ago.
At the other end of the scale you have the Britannia which is an acceptable 3 star which you can get for £39 per night.
My personal favourite would be the Malmaison which is a boutique hotel, very chic and modern. Paul McCartney stayed there a couple of weeks ago. You can get this one from £79 and it is a 4 star.
As to the hobbying prices I have quoted all include full sex, some girls try and get extras.
Manchester is 200 miles away from London. A 2 1/2 hour train ride on one of Virgin Rail's brand new trains will get you into the city centre a few yards away from the Malmaison.
