And on the 7th day, God Rested. . .and apparently so most of the working girls in San Jose. I started with another nice breakfast at the News Café, where Acatman was nowhere to be found. I left him a note at reception saying I’d try to hook up with him later. I wanted to glean some of his Sunday experience. I tried New Fantasy and that was closed. I knew IDEM’s was closed but had heard that EROS (right across the street from IDEM’s) was open on Sunday. I was sorry it wasn’t football season, because nothing would be better than betting on all he games and then checking out some night action. As it was, I made a couple of baseball bets and then headed over to EROS (appx 2:00pm). At that hour, there were only 4 girls working, but two were cute enough to do. Something got lost in the translation, because I heard 17,000 for an hour, gave the girl 20,000 and she came back asking for 3,000 more. I can’t even remember the girl’s name and the session was ok at best in a very simple, small room. But on Sundays, it’s definitely a seller’s market. I finished up and showered (water once again scalding) and on the mirror in the bathroom saw a sign with prices like 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 colones (Vladimir also saw the sign on Saturday and had now idea what it was about) Anybody have any ideas? It was raining outside and I asked the receptionist where I could get a cab, and she said outside. Guess I set myself up for that one. A couple minutes later a taxi pulls up and takes me to the Morazan sportsbook, where I watch a couple of ball games and have a couple of very nice hot dogs. I walk across the street to the Casino (can’t remember the name) and sat down to play Blackjack. There was no one else at the table and I won every hand out of the first shoe. Long story short I wound up playing for about three hours and finished about $500 ahead, including a 25,000 colone win when I “won” a raffle that let me spin the big wheel for cash. All in all a real nice way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. Checked out the sports book again, put down some money on San Antonio for the first half of that night’s game and went to my hotel room for a nap. Got up, showered, dressed and went to the Del Rey where I met up with Vladimir, Phil and Dave. We were checking out the talent at the very crowded bar. Watched the first half of the Spurs-Mavs game (I lost). The game plan was to eat something and then check out Vips 2, one of the few places open on a Sunday. Vladimir hooked up with a babe from the Del Rey and I was getting hungry, plus the bar was very crowded, so I said I was headed to Tin Jo’s to eat and hopefully we’d hook up later.
Tin Jo’s is an upscale Asian restaurant that I had read many nice things about. It is located up and across the street from IDEM’s. The place was about half full at 9:00pm on Sunday night. The clientele was definitely upscale and the varied menu offered interesting choices. I chose from the Chinese side of the menu and was not disappointed. They food was good and the price reasonable. I recommend it.
As I was paying the bill, in walk my three amigos Vladimir, Phil and Dave. They order quickly as the restaurant was about to close. Pleasant conversation ensued and at the end of their meal we the group split up, Phil and Dave going back to the Del Rey and me and Vladimir heading to Vips 2 a/k/a Molino Rojo. Sorry I don’t have an exact address, but it is around the corner from the Park Hotel (We snuck a peek in the Park after finishing up at Vips 2 – the Park was dead).
From the outside, Vips 2 looks a little intimidating as it is strictly a Tico place and doesn’t have as classy a feel as IDEM’s. We each paid 1,200 colones to get in, but that price included the first drink. There were about 20 chicas milling about; the place was dark and the music loud. It was really hard to get a look at the faces in the light, but I did see one girl with a killer body. Vladimir recognized her as Raquel, who he had had the night before. She smiled at him and, being the gentleman that I am, I said if he wanted to do her again, I wouldn’t stand in his way. Vladimir declined, and I walked right over to Raquel, who had absolutely no English, but we both spoke the language of love. What a great guy, that Vladimir, first he passes off his free blowjob at the Park and now is selfless with Raquel. Of course, the mood was slightly broken when Vladimir said in his pictures of her, she looks like a guy. Not what you want to hear when she’s leading you by the hand to the back rooms. The price was 6,000 colones for 30 minutes – I paid and we went off to a small, dimly lit room. Made all the other places I had been that weekend look like the Plaza. But I was here and wanted to make the best of it. We both undressed and I kept looking, needing to verify that Raquel was never Rocky. I was very happy when I saw bush and even happier when I found an unobstructed vagina behind that bush. Raquel was really sweet, there was some kissing and a BBBJ, which was all I wanted. I finished in about 20 minutes and gave Raquel a 2,000 colone tip. We both went away happy.
I met up with Vladimir and we both went out into the street – we passed an empty pool hall, a couple of empty bars and then finally the empty Park Hotel. We hailed a taxi and went to the Del Rey. I said goodbye to Vladimir and walked to the Presidente where I wanted to get a few hours sleep before my early morning flight back to Newark.
I checked in at reception and asked for a 6:00am wake-up call.
Upstairs I packed and went to bed around 1:00am, happy and content.

That sign in the bathroom at Eros is the price they get when they rent a room to someone who brings a girl in (or a clinet in) from outside.

That makes sense. Thanks Bookie.
