Maverick and I got a late start and checked out around 1 p.m. Lucky me, the front desk forgot to charge me for two days and didn't place any additional guest charges for my ladies. A large Chang beer is about 40 baht (85 cents). The beer is 7.5 percent alcohol, so take it easy. Many vendors also sell pirated CD's. They have books containing nearly 1-2,000 different CD's to buy for about $2 a piece. Another great shop is the used book stores which have travel guides and novels about Thailand for about 1/3 of the new price and with a better selection than anywhere in the U.S.

We went to a cafe called Gulliver's Travel. The bar was pretty modern and served good som tom. We were acting like we had known each other for decades. It was very strange. You can really get to know someone better if you can speak each others language, even if it is somewhat limited. It's so strange to meet such beautiful women whom work at clubs and don't work in the business whom are generally sweet and nice. It's a complete mindfuck after living in the U.S. for my entire life.

We made it back to my hotel/apartment for some drinking and a toast to her birthday. In Thailand, you toast each other by stating "chok dee" which means good luck.
