Ok you ask, why Costa Rica? It combines the two things I like to do most in Life, fishing and the other thing. Once the destination was set I asked fishing Buddy to go along, His answer was yes!

I had read about Skyauction.com, found two round trip tickets to San Jose, got Them for 425 each. That’s a savings of about 400.00 from where I live. Now I saw a lot of the world when I was in the Navy, but I have not been out of The us except for fishing in Canada. So I was looking for someone In Costa Rica To help me make hotel and travel arrangements. I settled on Dave Maddox a retired Texas cop now living in San Jose. We leave Friday morning arriving in Houston on time, change planes and were Heading for Costa Rica. Five minutes late we drop out of the clouds into a world Of Coffey, bananas and tin roofs.

From the gitgo I have read how you do not need a passport, and in fact my buddy Does not have one. But where I breezed through He would be stopped and have to Produce his driver’s license and birth cirtificate, and buy a green card. We arrive at the new terminal, very nice. Our bags are waiting when we get to the Caracal we have one carry on and one checked bag. We both are waved through Customs. We step out side to a hoard of taxies drivers. Dave is waiting with our Names on a plank.

He takes us to our hotel with s stop at a supermarket for some goodies for our Rooms. We check in to the President Hotel, Tsm rate 45.00 per night, witch includes a brekefest buffet. Were staying five nights. I figure my TSM Membership has just paid for it self. Were on the sixth floor, wood parkay floors and a marble bath. The Restaurant on the first floor is open, every thing else is closed for remodleing.

5PM sharp Dave picks us up We drive up into the mountians for dinner.The place he takes us over looks the city. its starting to git dark ath city is lighting up. The food is great. Dave introduces us to the ouner, an american who worked in the NBA and now lives in San Jose.

Full stomic and a couple of beers, we are ready to start our pub crawl. First stop the Idem bar (street11/avenues8/10 Phone 222-3352 manager Roberto Quesada) Nice bar, beers about 2.00. 10 chicas ages 18-25. Fifty five dollars will take one of your choice up stairs for an hour. Clean Rooms with showers. The girls will not aproch you, you have to call them over to you.

Directly across the street is the Eros club or Lucys. Looks more like a standerd house and Lucy is the Manager. Dave does the Intros and explains he is showing ue around. Six Girls 3 ticas ,2 nics and one Dominican. Lucy has a naughty laff. Off we go agine, we park at the colonial casino, walk through. Nice gamming hall Quiet and has a restraunt. I would spend some time there learing about Rummy/Blackjack. Out the door turn right go ten meters and I'm home. The Del Rey Hotel,Resturant,Casino and Blue Marlin Bar.

Its 8:30 Pm friday night, they are 3 deep at the bar and every guy in the place has a smile on his face. I dont know how many women there are just too hard to count,I would guess the raito was 3 women to 2 men. ages ran from 18 to 40. No hassle see one you like and let the games begine. 100.00 asking price for one hour. I could stay here for the rest of the trip. Dave wants to show us the Key Largo. Its two blocks away. Three bars, live music and anouther mess-o-women. Same asking price and more agressive. but they just want to help you take a lood off. We stay for two drinks (expensive), Its crunch time.too many girls. No ancwers just more questions. Back to the Blue Marlin.

I have a spanish vocaulary of about 100 words which helps us when dave was not around. Any one who comes in contact with american tourists speak some english so my lack of spanish was not a problem. Execpt in bed,lack of certin fine adjustments took away from the overall experence.

The first lady i invite to my table was stuck on 100.00 per hour,see ya.the secound was a dark haired beauty,we settled on 80.00 for to hours. Back to the President. She does the walk of shame, I sigh the book. In the room all goes well she lowers my blood pressure, lots of lache! Now she wants me to take her to the volocano,No. She wants me to take her to the beach, No. She wants half my rubber stach. Americans make Goooood rubbers. 1hour and 45 munits shes out the door. I sleep the good sleep.
