I changed money at 2.50 at the airport cambio, but only enough for immediate needs. The going rate on the street seems to be 2.7 to 2.8 or even as high as 3. The hotel says everyone will take dollars and give pesos as change at 2.7. I paid 33 pesos for a cab to Hotel Etoile.

Man, this hotel is incredible. I have a separate sitting room and a small bedroom with a double bed (note: the beds are short here for tall people). I hooked up with sakebomb and we made plans for dinner later tonight.

I passed by a bunch of banks and saw no signs of protest at all.

Anyway, the mall was a bust. I was looking for local craftmanship, but this was full of international brand stores. I found a beautiful coat that was 1500 pesos! I said that was more than I planned to spend and immediately it came down to 1200, but I still walked away from the deal. I can do better in the USA. It seems like a lot of the shop prices are the same as USA. Food is very cheap and I bought a bottle of catena wine for 13 pesos.

Anway, after we finished shopping Veronica asked me if I wanted to go to her apartment. I told her no, I was ready to go back to the hotel for another round. Finally she got through that she needed to piss badly and we were passing by her apartment. I gave in and we went up.
