After all the re-routing through central and south America during the past few months, I decided to just do it. Got antsy with the business meetings in Seoul so I took a brief detour to BKK. I'm in front of Dynasty, reportnig to you stateside Afficianados.
They're not checking passengers anymore at the airport for SARS. No sign of paranonia. This thing seems to have died down now.
It's cloudy, immensely humid, with scattered thunderstorms. BKK and NANA are noticeably quieter than before, possibly because it is the slow season. It was hopping the last time I was here in Feb. 03, before the SARS thing erupted.
One thing I noticed about NANA was that Playskool is closed. Rainbow II actually had seating available at 1am. Most of the go-gos (except Rainbow II) were relatively dead. A few 8s at AngelWitch, and Rainbow I, but the other go-gos did not have too much to write home about.
Nana seems to be hurting all around, the mamasans and the girls are complaining about the drop in business. A few girls I spoke with at Angel Disco indicated they have not socred with a punter in days. I'm getting a lot more personal attention than before, and loving it.
But despite the drop, the prices remain the same. Drinks are still 100-110, bar fine 500, and short time 1500-2000. Some girls stil have the audacity to demand 2000 short time.
Plenty of spinners with tight pussy, but not a lot of the lookers. Grace Disco was packed, but the talent was way below par.
I intend to hit Patpong, Cowboy and the massages the next day and will check in later with some more observations.

Merlin,
When you say the go-gos are relatively dead, I'm assuming you mean customer-wise. Are the amount of girls the same, or are their numbers dwindling also?
I'm jealous as hell that you can make an unplanned detour to BKK because of business. My unplanned detours from work usually make me wind up in Jersey City.
I'm off to Costa Rica tomorrow, but look forward to your posts.
Regards,
Wallstreet

Wallstreet, you are correct. The number of girls are about the same, it's the fewer customers that I noticed.
