Where you stay really depends on where you plan do spend most of your evening. I have not stayed there many nights but here is my review on a couple of them.

*Copacabana Apartment- Right across the street from EDSA. The pool is excellent. The room service is awful. They have safety deposit boxes. The rooms are apartments so there is no problem bringing girls back. I chose the 1 bedroom apartment. The living room had a couch and dining table, small kitchenette and fridge. The bedroom has a nice queen sized bed with a small television. The place has a little wear on it but is comfy and decent for Manila.
*City Garden Hotel-Located on Makati Avenue near Burgos Street. You can get a Superior Room for 2,000 pesos. The rooms have gorgeous views of Makati business center. The rooms are not that big but you are only their to fuck anyways. There is a spa and gym, as well as a great breakfast buffet in the morning for 250 pesos.
*Century Citadel Inn-On Burgos Street. Imagine a nice hotel on Fields Ave. You are in the middle of the action. The rooms are nice and the superior goes for $45. There is an internet cafe accross the street where a lot of the working girls go. Best value in Makati, IMHO.

I spent a night at the Century Citadel and IMHO opinion, it sucked. The only redeeming factor is that it is right in the middle of the action. My money goes to the Tiara Oriental in Makati, a $1 taxi ride to Burgos St. It can be had on www.asiatravel.com for P1900. It is well worth it. No girl issues, but I have never tried to bring more than one at a time into the hotel.

Leaving for Manila next Friday 4/14 to chase the girls--where is the best place to stay next to where i can find the ladies??

I think the multiple Sogo hotels around the city are the best bang for the buck. Prices are under 1200, and pricing by the hour is available. I recommend the Deluxe room, as it is the best value for the money. They often push the Executive Suite on foreigners (saying the other rooms are all taken). It's not a big price difference, and with the executive, you do get a full-size mirror on the CEILING above the bed! (trust me, that can be a lot of fun).

The locations I found were: EDSA near the EDSA entertainment complex; EDSA near Taft Ave., and near SM Quezon City on Aurora Blvd (far from mongering, a more discreet location, but an easy divisoria-bound jeepney/LRT2 ride from downtown Manila).

Royal Bellagio on Bergos....was about $40 or $50 per night, but I don't know how safe it is. It's in the same building as the Filling Station. I arrived last at night...never went out, becasue I had a honey ko with me already. I do remember getting out of the cab, and it was like time stopped. Everything on the street stopped to look..and I looked...and I saw girls everywhere. Anyway...does anyone have any info on this place?...becasue I will be there at the end of this month..

Hi. I have just joined this site, and it is my first post.
I am hoping to go to Manila in early September. I was going to go to Boracay, but after reading some of the posts on this site it looks as though I need to take one with me as there does not sound like there is much available on the island. Can anyone recommend to me?
1) Where to stay that a, has a pool; b, priced range $60 to $100; and does not charge a surcharge for bringing a "friend" back to my room.
2) The best area or bars to visit and look for miss Philippines.

G'day Redbus,

I have been reading alot of reports including a bloody good one from a bloke called Khun mor. Top stuff indeed. I am stoked for joining this site.
I was initially looking at Manila, and looking at the reports I see there is a place that is called the Oxford Suites may be the go. However, I just read a report from Khun mor about Angeles City and it sounds like that is the go. He stayed at a place called Pacific Breeze that sounds pretty good.

As I want to go to Boracay, am looking for any advice on how to locate someone I can take with me to the island. I hear that is the go as there is not much if anything available there.
I appreciate any tips anyone can give me.

Cheers!

Yachty,

Go into the Trip Reports and look for one from Icarus. Not his last, but the one before that. He took a sidetrip to Boracay - I think! There might be some details there to help you out.

Welcome to the club!

EA

G'day EA,

Thanks a heap for the tip. I read the report and found it to answer loads of questions I had in my mind.

I have reservations about finding someone to take to Boracay, bearing in mind this is my very first trip to the Philipines, and not having any numbers I can fall back on.

I am enjoying this site and will keep reading!

Cheers!

This will be my first trip to the Philippines. I'm thinking about staying for 2-4 months. I've seen alot of very affordable houses and condos for rent. Has anyone had any experience with rentals? Is this the way to go or should i plan on staying in hotels? what is more convenient for bringing girls back?

can someone update accommodations!? please. gonna take my first cherry trip to the area! or has not much changed?

By Surferr3 on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 - 10:06 pm:  Edit

Twowwkslate,

Depends what you're looking for. I havent been to Manila in a year but I think it is the best value for high end properties in Asia. For less than 150 US per night (based on when I was there last) give or take 10 dollars, you could stay at the Peninsula, Renaissance Hotel, Intercontinental, Mandarin Oriental (my choice) or Shangra La.

Lots of choices but if you want a high end property, check out the consolidator sites (as well as the hotels direct site) as you can find some killer deals.

If you're looking for a bargain place, I'm sure someone else can chime in.

Have fun.
