The Good: I spent 5 days in Rio prior to this occurrence. Spent the mornings walking up and down Ipanema and Copacabana Beach. I spent the day's on the Beach, the weather was fabulous, the waves were huge, and the garota's de programme were showing there stuff at the Beach, Meia Pataca, and Terraco Atlantica. I would hit a Terma in the late afternoon and had nothing but good times at L'oumo and Monte Carlo. I preferred the atmosphere at L'oumo more, it was 20 reas less expensive, and the girl's at the front desk were cool. They would call a Taxi for you and the Security guard would walk you downstairs and wait with you until the taxi arrived.

Had a great 5 days, couldn't believe how inexpensive food was, and was thinking I was going to be going home with a lot of money in my pocket. WRONG!!!!! I don't have any pictures, as she got my camera. Got the best exhange rate at Help, 285 reas, only got 270/275 at my Hotel or at the Cambio.

It will be a while before I take another mongering vacation, I've read about all the raids in Costa Rica recently. Disney World sounds pretty good to me right now.

Sorry to hear what happen to you, maybe down the road if you return to Rio, maybe it would be better to take one of the termas girls or her friend back to your place after seeing her in the terma a few times at least this way if any thing happens you would know were she works at.
