Last night, it turned slightly chilly and I actually had to break out a blanket for Favorita #2. I was fine, but these Brazillians think its freezing when it gets into the low 60s. This morning I awoke to the worst day weatherwise since I have been here. It’s coming a slow rain and is somewhat chilly. However, in putting a little perspective on this, this would pass for a very mild winter day where I am from. I get up around 11:00, but Favorita #2 doesn’t seem to want to leave, so I let her sleep. Since it is bad outside, I take a shower, clean up a bit and then go back to bed. I stay in bed falling in and out of sleep with my dark skin beauty. I’ve noticed already a certain sweetness about her and I don’t mind her staying into the late afternoon. Around 4:00, she is ready to leave and we say good-bye. I know I will be seeing this one again. I don’t need her phone number… Don has it.

After 4:00 means Luomo time. I haven’t been out to see any of the guys today so some are wondering what happened to me. The rain has let up, so I head out to renew my cash reserves and since I am halfway there, I decide to walk onward to Luomo.

By now I have blown the 3X rule to hell and its going to get even worse with her and Favorita #2 in the coming days. She will be there at 1:10. 1:10????? “How about 1:15?” I reply with a laugh. “No, I’ll be there at 1:10”, she says. I laugh…. Ok then and I leave.

Later on I catch up with some hombres at Terraco and sit outside for a while. I call Don and ask him if he wants to hang out at Alcazar with me until 1:10. “Why 1:10” he asks. Don’t ask.

Around midnight, we meet there and hang out and drink some Chopps. Don’s always good for a compelling story. I tell him who is coming and he says, “ you know its 50/50 whether they ever show up for these things”. Maybe so. I can always head into Help if this falls through.

Shortly after 1:00 AM, I am looking around staring out and obsorbing the Rio night not really paying attention. All of a sudden Don asks, “what time did you say she was supposed to be here?” “1:10” I reply. He starts laughing and says she’s here. Its 1:08 on the clock down the street. I turn in the direction he is looking and there she is just getting out of a taxi looking gorgeous. We hang out with Don for a while (all of these girls know Don) and then head to the apartment.

After our usual, we are lying there and talking and the conversation gets interesting. It seems that “the first” and Shayla do not get along. She proceeds to tell me that I can do Bea, I can do Karon, but I can’t do Shayla anymore. Hmmmmmmm…… “Why”, I ask. She won’t elaborate. Maybe she just didn’t like the competition in the Terma, as Shayla was fairly new…. and hot. “Terma drama” I think to myself. It’s funny to me that the first two girls I ever did in Rio are apparently mortal enemies. She makes me agree to no more Shayla. I mumble something to satisfy her. As I drift off to sleep, there is only one thing for certain. I will go to Luomo tomorrow and fuck Shayla.

Terma politics are crazy but part of the fun. I guess when you put 20 hottie 20 yr olds in a small room and tell them the sexiest wins, it gets a little ugly. But, as Adam Smith argued, the customer wins.

Yes, L'uomo is the Cheers of Rio termas, and the interpersonal politics are fascinating and occasionally a bit dangerous (I believe it was GCL who almost got killed when stepping in between two fighting garotas). There's no way to actually avoid the politics; you may remain ignorant of them but that doesn't mean they don't catch up with you eventually. But I think those games played are part of the fun.

I think KidCisco's point is understood. Others have made the same point, using somewhat less inflammatory language: "it's your money, and you're in charge." One can handle such situations with humor and reach the same endpoint.
