I took my first walk on the beach today…note, it’s day 6. I relaxed, had a couple beers at a kiosk and watched the parade go by. Later, I ran some errands including a trip to the grocery store. While standing in the wine aisle, I remember Don mentioned a certain Brazilian Cabernet that was good. I gave him a quick call to ask the name, and got an invite over to his apartment to drink a bottle, smoke a cigar, and watch the Sopranos on DVD. Of course, this was an offer I couldn’t refuse.
Don mentioned that Bluestraveler had closed on his new apartment today and invited a small group over to have a few drinks and celebrate. Don and I arrived around 10:00 P.M. joined X, BwanaDik, Hector, GroundZero, a few other Hombres and their girls. A tour ensued and and let me just say, his place is gorgeous. It’s a spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bath overlooking the bay. To add to the stunning view is the fact that the living room and all the bedrooms also have a view or Cristo. The place is really well designed, has built in cabinets in the bedrooms, crown moulding throughout, and granite countertops in the kitchen and both baths. Congratulations my friend. Your hard work really paid off. And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
Later Don and I headed over to Franks Bar. We arrived just before the live sex show got under way. As soon as Don told me the drink prices I realized I didn’t have much money on me. I thought we’d be heading back to Help, so I kept the big money in my room. After all, If I pulled someone from Help I wouldn’t be paying them until we were back in my room and done with our match. Well, Don, didn’t have much on him either, and when the time came to pay our bill, Don used his clout to get us out without a problem. Another good example of Don’s service really paying for itself.
A quick walk through La Ciccilina followed by a quick beer at Pussycat and we were back to Copacabana. We stopped at a hot dog truck and had a really good dog and couple cold beers. You’ve gotta love a city where you can sit on the street at 3:00 A.M., eat a hot dog, drink a beer and look a beautiful women walk by. Getting tired, I called it a night and headed back to my apartment.

My first night there, Don and I stopped at the hot dog truck about 2:00AM. Let's just say that I laughed my ass off at Don that night.
