Just got back from Rio this morning, and I wanted to get as much down as possible. For all of you who like the blow-by-blow reports, this might disappoint. What I prefer to do this time is more of a reflection piece, dealing with a variety of topics. Musings perhaps. This was my (and my non-posting buddy’s) second trip. The first was but a few months ago (yeah, I know, once that Rio bug bites, you’re toast). The first trip was great, 10 days of beautiful Brazilian bliss without any emotional entanglement. We (or at least I) were ready for more of the same.

We arrive on time at GIG on our Varig flight from Los Angeles (originating, holy crap, from Japan). However, just like last time our luggage is literally the last out of the carousel. Luckily, we flew business class and had priority baggage status; otherwise, I guess our luggage would still not be there.

Hotels:

We have one of Don’s cars and drivers waiting for us and we go straight to the Debret (booked through Bobby at Blame it on Rio 4 Travel). We had arranged for some ocean front suites (doubles, of course, in order to avoid the per guest charge), and were pretty excited. Just as we start filling out the forms, Don appears. Just like a genie, but with more smoke (the cigar kind). The hotel receptionist then pulls him aside and informs him of the Debret’s new policy (of which most of you now know) permitting only one “extra” guest for the duration of the stay. Needless to say, we’re stunned. Fortunately, the monger god was smiling on us and our rooms were not yet ready. We were told that we should come back in 45 minutes.

Not ones to look a gift horse in the mouth, we hightail it over to the Princess Copacabana. They had two suite type rooms available with nice layouts. Basically, the suite consists of two rooms, one small bedroom (enough for a queen, or two pushed together doubles), and a sitting room with sofa, seats, a dining table, and small kitchen. Please note that there are two suite types here: front side (facing Rua Xavier da Silveira) and backside (facing the pool). The front side rooms are a bit nicer, but can be noisy. The backside rooms are really quiet. Both have sizeable balconies, which turn out to be quite useful for romantic trysts. The front desk gave us their rack rates, and then we hoofed it down the block to Bobby’s for a better price. I think we got the suites for $224R.

As for guest friendliness, I guess it is. But you do have to pay a $60R for your guest. They don’t really hassle you, but the sign in is always a little awkward (anywhere, not just at this hotel) and one time one front desk guy annoyed the hell out of me. After an evening and morning together, my friend and I went to have lunch together. Afterwards, she came back with me to gather her things. The front desk guy at first wanted her to fill the form out again. I tell him that she’s here only for five minutes. He then basically says “ok, you have five minutes,” sounding as if he was going to call the hotel gendarmes if we stayed in the room together a moment longer. About an hour later, he had the balls to ask me to fill out the hotel questionnaire to evaluate the hotel services. My kinder side prevailed, and I just chose to ignore his assholeness. After all, I did like the hotel. It’s about two and a half blocks from the beach, less than that to the internet places and Kice Sucos, and only about one block away from an ATM and a cialis-friendly pharmacy (more about both to follow).

Oh, yeah, after we got everything set with the Princess, we had to go back to the Debret and tell them of our cancellation. I thought there might be some awkwardness, but they took our cancellation stoically (since we had not entered our rooms, we could not be charged), and we later learned from Don and other friends that they have been having a slew of cancellations. My guess is their policy will eventually revert to the old one.

ATM’s and Cambios:

The rate during our stay was between 2.8 and 2.9. The rates seemed a little better from the ATM’s, but that is before you factor in any bank fees. I guess it’s a tossup. The best Copa ATM is still the one at Blockbuster, located on the corner of Ave. Copacabana and that Rua that can’t be pronounced by English speakers. However, it’s a bit of a hike to get there if you are staying near Alcazar and Help. There is an ATM at BBV Bank located pretty much catty corner from Kice Sucos. It was pretty convenient, but didn’t work every time. If you are looking for an ATM downtown near 4x4, there’s one really close. As you exit 4x4, make a right and then make another right at the corner. There’s a bingo place that has an ATM right in the front. Pretty handy if you need Reals before or after a 4x4 run. My thanks to the good doctor for cluing me in on this ATM.

Don, Karl and Riotrips:

I’d rather not reopen the discussion as to whether “guides” are necessary for Rio. If you’re pretty adventurous and comfortable with Portuguese (or comfortable not knowing Portuguese), you can have a fine time in Rio without any help. However, on our first trip, we were happy to have the guidance, language support and companionship of Don and Karl. That’s why we again decided to officially hang with them on our second trip. In addition to knowing where to go and why, they keep you safe and keep it fun. I know I wouldn’t have been able to find those downtown termas on my own, and even if I had, I wouldn’t have been as comfortable there. Other guys not officially on the Riotrips “program” also often accompany them and it’s a big plus. There’s nothing like trading war stories before and after conquests and defeats. Occasionally, there are some lemons, but most of the guys I met through Don and Karl were great to hang with.

If (who am I kidding, when) we go back, we might not need their full services, but I’m sure we’ll still join their group as often as possible. They rent apartment and phones, and I hear that they will be a full-fledged travel agency soon. Ok, for all the rest of you doubters, here’s the best reason to join up with Don and Karl: Don has the numbers of ALL the hottest women in Rio (and beyond). A hookup with Rio’s hall of fame women is but a cell call away. Even those girls who are no longer fully active, can still be reached by Don. In summary, big time thumbs up.

As an aside, we also met Rich this time. Although he is no longer directly working with Riotrips, I gather he still hangs with the team once in a while. He might be the luckiest guy in Rio. He might very well have fucked every hot woman in Rio. God bless his penis.

Termas:

Other than the women of Brazil, this is why we go to Rio. The termas are great: music, drinks and hot women to have sex with. What could be better? All right, perhaps football on a big screen would be good too, but you can’t have everything.

This trip, we only went to 4 different termas: Luomo, 61, 4x4 and Solarium.

Luomo is still my favorite. It’s small and comfortable and the facilities are convenient. Also they have the lowest percentage of undoables. Unfortunately, my buddy and I have amigas there, which means we can’t (terma girl politics) sample the wares of the other hotties there. For this reason, we went there only a few times this trip. It really sucked to be locked out of our favorite place. Sure, we could still go, but why pay the house just to get “short time” with someone you’ll see later (and before). In any case, Shela is very hot there, as are two new girls, Isa and Camillie. I also heard tremendous reviews of Larissa and Marina (one guy said she gave him the best bj EVER). Lahoney no longer works there and neither does Bia. I really regret never having gone with Bia. I would have liked to have seen her tool kit first hand.

Because of the “lockout,” my new favorite terma became 4x4. I love the place. It is fantastic because of its target-rich environment. You want loira, you got em. You want morenas, check. Slim and sexy, big and busty, check and double check. I still think that 4x4 is the coolest terma to go to as a newbie because it is fun to be overwhelmed by the choices. That first jaw dropping expression is priceless. Others say Luomo is better for the neophyte, because it’s a more relaxed place for a new guy. Let the debate continue.

In any case, I like going to 4x4 early, around 3 or 4. There’s a fair number of hotties there, and almost no men. You can session there before 5pm (150R for an hour suite) and they waive the cover. Then, when you finish sessioning, the second shift of women begin to show up. If you are timely, you can choose from among the whole crew before the place becomes packed with Brasileiros. After 6:30, the place is a zoo, and by that time, I always head back out to Copa. Personal recommendations? Taiza is a must. People have said that she’s not great in the cabine and I kind of agree, but she’s smoking hot and it’s almost an initiation rite. She also photographs really well. Speaking of photographs, I have yet to be refused when I ask for photos. They just ask you to be discrete with the cameras and to not post the photos on the internet.

Stella is very funny and charming (when she wants to be) and speaks perfect American English. I hear that she also can be a bit bossy in the cabine, but she loves women and offers to teach guys the right way to eat pussy. I really regret not taking her up on her offer. Sher is a sultry panther-like sweetheart, as is the always reliable and gorgeous Lusianna. Little Delila is a really nice choice for all you spinner fans (you can recognize her by her tattoos, including a hornet one). I really dug Tatiana (a slim cutie who always wears the schoolgirl outfit). She’s 19 and lives above 4x4 (I guess they have a small dormitory there), does not like women and swears that she has never masturbated. I also really liked Capitu (at least she pronounces it that way). She’s a little cute loira with braces and wears high black patent leather boots. She provided a great GFE, and as an extra note she lives with two other really hot blondes that work or worked at 4x4. How do I get to be the super in that building?

This trip, we also visited Solarium for the first (and only) time. It is a little out of the way from Copa (the opposite side of the Lagoa), but the layout is very similar to MC (same owners). It was nice enough, but it had neither the coziness of Luomo or the sheer number of hotties of 4x4. In fact, the pickings were kind of slim that Saturday late afternoon we were there. I know, maybe it was just a bad day there. Still, we would never make it back there because of the repercussions from our Saturday visit. Still, not a bad place. Vanessa was very hot and so was Lahoney (formerly of 4x4) with the big panther tattoo on the small of her back.

Terma 61. An off the beaten path terma, it is located downtown (a walkable distance from 4x4). Unfortunately, I have no idea where it is. Don and Karl (and I’m sure a lot of the Rio vets) know though. The cool thing about this place is that it’s a non-robe terma. You can hang out in your civvies instead of your skivvies. Also, it’s pretty cheap. $10R entry (which covers your first drinks) and I think $60R for 30 minutes and $105 for an hour. I think you might even be able to negotiate for a cheaper amount. The stable is nowhere near the quality or quantity of the better known termas, but they still have a fair number of hot women there. I think I saw about 4 or 5 (and it takes just 1). I didn’t engage there, but a few of our crew did (with enthusiastic reviews).

Emotional Entanglements:

For all of you not on your guard at all times (and even for some that are), Rio and its women are hypnotic. Their passion and energy are addictive. I have always said that I was coming to Rio to sample as much as possible and not let emotions get involved. I now must recognize and admit that it’s much easier said than done. Although I have no illusions as to long-term bliss, it is very easy to become emotionally attached to a beautiful Brasileira (and vice versa too). When this happens, the rules change drastically. Brasileiras, in addition to their passionate ways or because of them, are very jealous and suspicious. Once they become attached to you (and you to them), forget about sessioning with another woman at the amiga’s terma. A classic faux pas. You can do it, but who wants to experience the incessant bitching. Hence, the lockout. Sure, you can go to the terma and session with your amiga, but where’s the fun in that?

Once attached to a terma (or other program) amiga, you now have three choices: 1) tell her up front you WILL be seeing other women; 2) tell her that you won’t be seeing other women and then try to do so anyway; or 3) keep your promise and not see other women. Well, we’ll dismiss #3 right off the back. Although I know of someone who has done this, it’s a pretty rare case (and your penis will never forgive you). I recommend #1. It was what I chose. It’s honest and straightforward, but it still doesn’t really work. Even when you think you have reached an understanding as to your tomcatting ways, they still get jealous and still want to know where you went everyday. This now leaves option #2. Here’s the real problem with it (once you get past that lying thing): you will be caught every time!!!

The Psychic Hotline:

Call it what you will, but there are NO secrets in Rio. Girls at one terma know the girls at the other termas and they IMMEDIATELY report back on any straying mongers. When my buddy and I went to Solarium, our amigas found out the very next day. How? How the fuck do I know? We maintain a pretty low profile at the termas, but we were busted anyway. No matter where we went, our amigas knew about it. I understand the MC and Luomo have an especially good network. I still don’t understand it though. How do the women and terma A know that the guy visiting there is connected to an amiga of terma B?

One avenue of information? The taxi drivers. Some of them are quite friendly with a lot of the girls. When you want to sneak around, you might want to avoid the Alcazar taxis. How did this new strategy work out for me? Not so hot. One afternoon, we took a limo-taxi (a taxi without the sign) to a lunch spot. That night, the same guy took me to Frank’s. Unfortunately, when my buddy and his amiga used him the following day, he mentions to her where I went the previous night. Fucking idiot. I saw the driver again subsequently and told him that next time “sshhhhh.” He understood and apologized profusely.

So, now I think I’ve got it figured out. I get Don to hook me up clandestinely with a super super hottie, currently on the terma sidelines, for a vips hookup. We meet at Don’s apt. and take an anonymous cab from the cab stand at Rua Bolivar to Vips. Everything was hush hush. Well, guess what? My amiga found out the very next day. It wasn’t bad enough that she knew I was going out, she knew the other girl’s NAME!!! I stood my ground, but it’s not fun standing in the eye of a jealous Brasileira tornado. During the middle of all her accusations, I actually started laughing out loud because I couldn’t believe she knew all that she knew. Everytime I went to 4x4, she knew. In fact, one time she demanded to know who I saw there. I relented and told her, figuring that she wouldn’t know her. Wrong; she was able to describe her quite well.

I guess in the end, if you like your amiga enough, put up with the bullshit. If not, cut if off and move on.

Night Activities:

On this trip, I am sad to report that I went to Help only once and only to people watch. It’s always worth a few laughs. I did hang out quite a bit at the Terrace outside Help. Also fun and it serves a great steak.

I went to Franks three times. The cover there with is $30R, which includes a couple of beers. Starting at about 1am, they have some stage shows, culminating in a lesbian and hetero sex shows. Always worth at least one trip there. They also have quite a number of attractive women there, but as always, YMMV. On my first night there, I was bewitched by this little loira who kind of had east European features. Great tits and but on the little frame. We agreed on TLN for $200R. It was actually quite nice. Until she fell asleep after sessioning. She snored like a long shoreman. I couldn’t sleep. What made things worse was when she finally woke up (after sawing a forest full of lumber) she said she had to immediately take off. She didn’t even take care of my morning wood. Her name was Bianca, but when another woman at Frank’s first told me her name, I thought she said “Bea Arthur.” Holy shit, I thought, I’ve got the hots for one of the Golden Girls!!!

The second time at Franks, I notice a couple of gorgeous women there; one blonde Anna K. type and one busty morena. However, I was too bushed to engage and decided to go back another day. When I did return, the pickings were very slim, except that the blond was there. She mentioned that she worked at Frank’s sometimes and Barberellas as well. She had a great face and she kissed very well. However, when I inquired as to her fee, she opened with a $150US. After chuckling, I countered with $200R. She dropped down to $100US, but I stood firm at $200R. When I inquired as to how much time she could spend with me, she said 2 to 3 hours for that $100US. At this point I bailed. One thing that I learned from a newfound friend from Florida was that the girl’s attitude is key. If the girl doesn’t have the right attitude, it isn’t worth the risk. I took his advice. I also figured out right plan of attack at a place like Frank’s.

What I should have done was use the Brasileiro method. I should have just made out with her all evening and then start negotiating. By then, she will have already made a sizeable investment of time, and her other options would have been less. Live and learn. By the way, working two of the three nights I was there were Magda and Solange, both friends of Don. I’ve never been with them, but I’ve received unanimous recommendations. Solange looks a little like Gloria Reubens (of ER fame).

Safety in Rio:

Rio is like any other large city. It can be dangerous. One afternoon while walking along Ave Atlantico, between Alcazar’s and Help, some guy on a bike rode by and made a grab at my buddy’s gold chain and cross. Fortunately, his amiga had just mentioned to us that one guy on a bicycle is always a bad sign. One minute later, as if on cue, the guy made his grab. My friend, forewarned, was able to grab onto his chain and didn’t lose it. Before we could do anything else, the guy on the bike was gone. It would have been worthless to report all this to the cops, so we did something perhaps more effective. We mentioned what happened to some people and they reported it to the local kingpin, who has a strong interest in keeping things quiet in his neighborhood. We believe that the proper warning was given to the would be chain snatcher. Nevertheless, remain vigilant even in broad daylight.

One last note about scammers. The shit on the shoe guys do exist and they are very gifted. While I was talking to Karl right by the beach, some kid comes by and asks if Karl would like his shoes cleaned. His response was the same as mine: why would I want my sandals cleaned? Sure enough, there it was on his Teva sandals, brown gunk! How they actually flung it onto an area the size of a postage stamp I have no idea. But they did. No one is safe.

Cialis:

It’s still too early to know what will happen with the FDA in the US, but in Rio, Viagra is now dead. Or should be. Cialis is now the king. Longer lasting, fewer side effects, more subtle. What’s not to like? I think they’re available everywhere in Rio, but check out Pacheco Drugaria on Ave Copa between Miguel Lemos and Xavier da Silveira (next to BBV Bank). A four pack was $95R. It lasts a good 24 hours, I felt no stomach problems, no sinus issues, and no extra heart pounding.

Conclusion:

Who am I kidding? I’ve got no great words of wisdom. Thanks to Don and Karl and to the new friends I met down there. It was great, and I can’t wait to go back.

Esdude,

I'm glad you had a good time. When I'm in Rio I usually try to hit all the major termas at least once and then repeat if I find some stunners. Termas Rio Antigo and 65 on my last trip I didn't indulge in any of the goods. Too bad you guys didn't hit Centaurus. They usually have some pretty fine looking babes even though they charge the most. How was the crowd and talent at Help and what is the best time and day to visit Frank's bar?

By Sweetmesquite on Tuesday, August 05, 2003 - 07:13 am:  Edit

good move to the princess. debret would have charged you R50 per girl even if paid double rate. an extra R10/girl is nothing to stay in a much nicer hotel. the mini suites are really nice and a little cheaper. beautiful pool area. never made the free breakfast did you?

By Sbronx77 on Tuesday, August 05, 2003 - 09:16 am:  Edit

I enjoyed your report. [so far] I'm interested in how Cialis works and is it difficult to purchase in Rio. Other than that, you seem to be off to a GOOD start!! When is the next installment ??

By Esdude on Tuesday, August 05, 2003 - 09:32 am:  Edit

sweetmesquite,

I have NEVER made the free breakfast. Either at the Princess or at the Luxor Regente, where I stayed during my prior trip. By the way, I met one or two good friends of yours this trip. They spoke highly of you and your ability to share wine at 4x4. Would have liked to have met you.

sbronx,

Sorry, there are no other installments. That was it. but Cialis is VERY easy to get. Just go to any of the pharmacies in Copa and ask for it. I heard it was a little cheaper in Centro, but Pacheco's was way cheaper than another pharmacy I went to in Copa. Like I said, no side effects, time-release and it worked for over 24 hours. Think about it. It would cover multiple terma runs and a TLN. Not bad for a single pill. Good luck.

Cueball,

I only went to Help once and it was pretty crowded w/ both men and women. As for Franks, midnite to 12:30am is a good time to check out the women before the shows. Sunday, there are no shows, and the Monday I went was lame. But the other 2 days I went were pretty good in terms of attractive women.

Esdude: Thanks for the info. If that's your report, it was WELL DONE!!!

EsDude:

Thanks for the report, and I liked the summary style rather than the usual blow-by-blow (so to speak).

As for the garota "telegraph," it's very simple. A combination of two communications "channels" - first of all, they're all friends, aquaintances, or friends-of-friends. They've all hopped between various termas, escort agencies, massage parlours, etc; shared apartments; slept with each other or the same semi-permanent boyfriends; and many even grew up together in the same neighborhood or got off the same bus together. Anyway, it's a pretty tight-knit little sorority. Second communications channel is even simpler - the hairdressers! They all go to the same half-a-dozen beauty salons in Copacabana and the places are non-stop gossip.

If your masculinity can stand it, a visit to the salons is actually lots of fun. Since I shave my head, and it's always relaxing to have someone else do it for a change, so I usually treat myself to one salon visit whenever I visit Brazil (I'd never do it in the States, too damn expensive and different attitudes towards men going to salons). ANyway, full works - manicure, shave with a old-fashioned straight razor, some lady taking half an hour to trim my beard individually snipping each hair to length costs about R$25.. and you get to check out and flirt with all the cute girls, pros and non-pros that are also there getting worked on. SO far, I've only pulled the manager (petite blond) out of a salon (in Porto Alegre, before you ask), but whatever happens, it's still fun. Of course, you absolutely need portuguese to "play", but you'll probably still have fun even if you only speak English. Besids which, you can get a real haricut, a shave, a great massage, a pedicure or facial (OK, now we're getting weird), etc at these palces too for ridiculously cheap prices - great way to kill a late morning early afternoon.

OK, enough stupid suggestions for the day, bottom line is there's no escaping the garota grapevine - your best bet is always to tell them that you're going to fuck whoever and whatever you damn well please and they can either be very sweet and appreciative during the time you DO spend with them or they can go to "a puta que te pareiu" while you spend the night with some other garota. It's all a mindgame anyway - I won't get into wether the "noivas" truly like YOU or just your money, but they are VERY aware that the more they ensnare you in guilt-trips, sob stories, and "you can't fuck any of my friends" bullshit, the more money you'll be giving them instead of some other girl. Don't let them even get started with that bullshit, just laugh in there faces. As for the "incessant bitching" - believe me, I've heard my share! - you're not married to them, as soon as they start annoying you, show them the door. If that doesn't set them straight immediately, then - oh well! there's plenty more pussy in Rio.

Enjoy!

EsDude,

Glad you had a good time. Glad my Teva´s could help further educate you on the slippery and wyly shitflinger. They´re skill is so exacting that I almost feel guilty for wanting to choke the life out of them!

Great report!! I Look forward to having you guys back on the block!!

That blockbuster ATM makes me paranoid. The last time I was there you could only enter from the street. The ATM is just a few feet from the door. All the gringo tourists go there. It seems the perfect place for a thief(ieves) to discretely
stakeout from across the street and then do a stalk-hit-and-run while you walk down a side street.

very nice report, nice style too.

i'm amazed that the shit-slingers can nail a teva!

guys, imo enough with the talk of where's an atm, or the blockbuster atm is the best one - c'mon! there's atm's all over the place... the block between kice and da silva must have 3 different ones. how can one atm be better than the others (given that they all take plus, or vice versa all take cirrus)?

BS: Would you say it's a control issue with the garotas? IMHO, it is. You have to be IN CONTROL!!

By Thumper on Tuesday, August 05, 2003 - 03:47 pm:  Edit

Try the pharmacy on the side street between Help and M.P, between Atlantico and Nossa Senhora, it has 4 pack Cialis for 60R.

I have heard many different stories about the Princessa hotel, some guys get hit with the garota charge, others don't. I don't think it has anything to do with whether you book double occupancy, but rather who books it for you. I know guys hwo get hit at Rio Roiss and the ATlantico for garotas charges bit whenever I stay there, they never charge me.

I feel that if I am paying for a double occupancy, there is no way I should have to pay an extra fee to have girls come up to my room.

Esdude: Great Report.
As for emotional attachments, these are the most loving women I have ever been with and I can understand how easy it is to go astray. It's all about the money. I kept saying that to myself over and over again, even when they wouldn't take it. When they don't take it, it's all part of their larger game plan to get it from you some other way. There are some sweethearts down there though, but that is what I had to keep telling myself.

I tried to tell people in another report about hiring Riotrips if they didn't know the language and had never been to Rio or were going alone, and many vets wanted to argue with me. I also mentioned Don's cellphone and it's numbers. Oh well.... my report speaks for itself, and so does yours.

Sweet: I wondered if Debret charged you the 50R even if you booked a double room. That's insane.

Sbronx77: We need to get some Cialis.

Riotrips: Karl, I'm sorry I missed you in early July. I heard a lot of good things about you.

Flhobbyer: The one thing I can say about the Blockbuster ATM is that it never let me down. Every other one I used was at some point either out-of-order, did not work at that time with my card, or was closed.

Thumper, are you able to provide more detail, regaring the pharmacy and the Cialis:

1. A 4pak of 10g or 20g?

2. Is this on Miguel Lemos, just a few doors away from (towards Av. Copa) a seafood restaurant (which in on a corner of R. A. de Saldanha), and is across the street from an internet cafe (not the one everyone uses which is next to Blame it on Rio)?

thx.

By Buttman on Wednesday, August 06, 2003 - 04:12 pm:  Edit

Thank you--I have the same question--were you taking the 10 or 20 mg dose?

By Esdude on Wednesday, August 06, 2003 - 06:22 pm:  Edit

I can't speak for Thumper, but for the 4 pack for $95R were for the 20mg. As to the pharmacy on Miguel Lemos (across from Fone Rio), they were charging $120R for the same 4 pack. When I told them I could get it cheaper, they countered with $107R.

As for the Princess Copacabana Hotel, I think the price difference between the single occupancy and the double was $60R. If that's the case, why bother getting the double?

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention is that everyone should continue to treat the locker room attendants well. One day at 4x4, one of the crew couldn't find his watch. We asked Sylvia and, after describing it, she produced the watch. She was tipped generously. Ironically, the watch was a very inexpensive one, but it looked very expensive. The moral of the story? Reinforce positive behavior. I always am nice to the attendants and tip them well.

Almost the same one. I don't care what you were taking... I want to know which dosage you found there, and which you bought for that price... I mean, one might buy the 20g and take 10g (worked for me, still 24 hrs) ... it's none of my concern.

To the point and descriptive...couldn't ask for anything more.

Thx.

The pharmacy that I bought the Cialis at is on Miguel Lemos. I fyou walk from Atlantica Ave to Nossa Senhora, its right after the the side street that Rio Roiss is on. You will see a large newspaper stand and there is an open air restaurant that alot of brasilians eat at. The pharmacy is right next to the restaurant. I bought 20mg 4 pack for 60R, but this was back in June, the price may have gone up since.

I agree with tipping the locker room attendants. I don't think I have ever left a terma and not given the locker room girls at least a buck or so. If you can't spare a dollar then at least give them a $1 Real note. It's like 30 cents. I've left things in the locker before at Luomo two times. Expensive items and they've always kept them there and I've received them the following day. Very honest folks.

Esdude - Thanks for the nice report. It's always nice to read about a guy's first trip to Rio.

Great report, ESDUDE!
I think our paths crossed in Rio! I just wish that I could have stayed a few more days.
Thanks to you and the other guys that made my trip there more enjoyable. Needless to say, the women of Rio were more fun than you guys, but hey, talking and laughing with you guys was a great experience, hey, I think this must be some of that male bonding bs that you hear about...

I will post my trip report soon, I have been a bit busy since Rio. But, yes, Club/Terma 61 was a nice surprise...best BJ ever from a lovely petite cutie with big-uns...<falls> went back to 61 for second time with her...even better. Ok...so...I was hooked...had a dupla with her the next day at my apartment. No one told me that life in Rio could be so tough...
Hope to catch up with you and the other guys again soon. Look for my trip report soon.

Esdude Nice report. How was Varig business class? I plan going business my next trip also from LA. I have always gone on Varig but in coach, and i feel for the passengers from Japan. Thats a long trip.

As for Emotional Entanglements. In 3 trips I have fallen in love/lust 3 times and hope and plan on it happening again each time I return. I usually stay in touch with them once I return until the "wake up call" happens. The famous e-mail looking for $$. Then its time to move on. But that is the fun. But I make it a point not to get locked down with just one person during my trip. Too many new girls starting to work each time i return.

Ablissman,

It was great hanging out with you too!!! You did pick some lovelies while we were there. We had some interesting non-Rio-type conversations too. Looking forward to reading your report.

Nyl12,

IMHO, Varig has one of the lamest business classes I've ever been on. The service was okay, but the plane was really weak. From LAX to Brazil, Varig uses the MD-11 (which is the renamed DC-10). A very old plane with old equipment. There really isn't that much leg room; on some of the planes, there are no center aisle overhead storage; and there is no individual entertainment console. In fact, you can't even use your own CD-player or video game player, or even the CD or DVD player on your laptop!! I used miles to pay for the flight. If I was paying money, the upgrade isn't worth it.

I am using miles too. But it is only 1 stop from LAX (San Paulo) and has to be better than what I have been dealing with on the same flight in the back (coach). The MD-11 is not great plane, but the schedule is great leaves early afernoon and arrive in Rio at 8:30-9am, so you get a full 1st day and then leave at 10:30-11pm so you get a full last day. I have looked into Continental but they stop in Houston (layover) and the flight gets in late afternoon and leaves Rio at 7pm and I get into LAX at 9am. But thanks for the info. Overall I think Varig is the best bang for the buck. If you want to rack up miles (United-Star Alliance) and use them. better prices on-line with priceline and the like, but I like the miles.

That's exactly the same reason why we went with Varig. Despite the plane, the schedule can't be beat. Good luck.

You liked Capitu? She was so-so with me (and the other girl). Cute, yes.

By Esdude on Sunday, September 28, 2003 - 09:46 pm:  Edit

Hunterman

Capitu was cool. I liked her a lot. I don't think she actually likes sex with other women. I remember that because one of her roommates is a "retired" 4x4 legend, and I floated the idea of a threesome and although she didn't reject it, she proclaimed that she was mais o menos on girl/girl action.

By Hunterman on Thursday, October 02, 2003 - 11:57 am:  Edit

Maybe I didn't experience the fullness of Capitu, I took her with another girl to the cabine. The other girl (whose name I can't remember) was more active the whole time, and Capitu kind of laid back after a while. I'm greedy when it comes to having two women, I like both of them to pay a lot of attention to me (I don't try to get them into each other, there's not enough time for that).

Oh well, I've had great threesome experiences at MC with Paola and various other girls. Maybe I'll try 4x4 again when I go back in November, get some recommendations from this board from other mongers.
