Same here.

Works fine on my Mac...running OS X and Acrobat Reader.

I got an error when I tried to open it from this site. Next, I right-clicked and saved it to my hard drive. When I tried to open it there I got an error that said "The viewer cannot decrypt this document."

I have Adobe Reader version 4.05.

Aldaron, same thing here - using Adobe 4.x, the full version.

Good job keeping Bullwinkle out of the loop on this. If we continue to work together, we may even some day be able to keep him off this site.

Update your version of Adobe Reader to at least 5.0...it's free from the Adobe.com website (Jeeez you guys are behind the times!!!).

This was produced on a Mac, but that's irrelevant since pdf files are platform independent.

I downloaded 6.0 this morning and it works fine.

BTW... I'm interested in some of the "Frequent Fucker" programs. I've been called one a time or two in my life, so I might as well join a club.

AHHHhhhhhh...... Much better. I'm not sure how that antique version of Acrobat Reader managed to function so long on my computer.

At the end of the report, you mention the phrasebook "Hot International" with sexual phrases in 7 languages. That book seems to be out of print, and is not available through Amazon in the US or UK anymore. (For awhile the UK apparently had a surplus, but not anymore). Any ideas on how to purchase a copy of this book?

Admin: For those, like myself that have a problem accessing this report, maybe the print version is better for all, if possible.

While you are at it, all of you should make sure you have a recent version of Quicktime.

I suspect the Admin will put the print version up soon. I sent it as a large Word file, so I suspect he'll have to play with it a bit before he posts it.

BW, just a month ago Hot International was still available through the UK Amazon site. It would be tragic if the copies are in fact all gone. MAybe we can start a letter writing campaign to the publisher and encourage them to do at least one more printing run. If not that, maybe some entrepreneur on the board here can buy the rights and republish it.

Aldaron, I think it would be way cool to be able to pull a bunch of Frequent Fucker cards out of my wallet while trying to find my UA Mileage Plus card.

FYI, I put an order on Amazon UK for Hot International and it said that it might take a month or so to get a copy in. Lo and behold, about 5 weeks later, I got an email that it was being shipped. Great book. Girls get a kick out of it. Essential safado gear.

B_D: They SAY they still have copies, but in fact they don't seem to. I ordered several a couple months ago. Now, I keep getting notices that my order has been delayed until they can re-stock. I've pretty much given up on them.

Personally, I found B_d's earlier version of the guide extremely valuable when I went to Rio for the first time earlier this year. If you are going to use one source to plan your trip, this is probably the best place to start. There is some other great Rio stuff by Athos and others, I might add.

If any of you need more incentives to go to Rio...

I just took another look at Bwana_dik's Rio guide, and I'm just really impressed. This must be the sin qua non of adult travel in Rio.

All the guide needs to be perfect are some pithy testimonials like the previous paragraph. Not that I'm partial to hype or anything...

Of course now that I've obtained a post-McCarthy era version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, I'm ready for the .pdf version if such a thing exists. Also, I always thought that ClubHombre could make a killing selling that book via their store, if they ever could get ahold of a stash of these books.
