Well, former legend and I couldn't stand it and made a quick 5 day over the weekend trip to our favorite island. Quite the experience as our day started at 5:30 AM (real early for that poor boy) and we didn't arrive until alomst 8:30 at night. Late flight out of our interim destination. Diverted to another airport due to weather and after a couple of hours finaly landed in Havana.

Now, I gotta tell you guys. It is maybe 150 miles as the crow flies but it took us 14 hours and three separate flights to get there.

Anyway, we found a great little Casa Particular on the recommendation of a friend. $35 per night, two separate bedrooms with baths, (cold AC's) with a small living room area and full kitchen at our disposal. Yeah, we'll stay there again! Casa owner was great and treated us like kings.

Off to the hunt. Didn't take us long before we snagged a couple of cute 19 year olds from Camaguey. Cute little things with nice hard bodies. FL and I both sent our girls on their way and told them we would meet them at 6:00PM. (We were going back to the pool casa that night. I told FL I wasn't going to pay $50 for 1 hour and she could just wait till they were finished. I walked back into my room and reclined on the bed. Hell, I had a 9+ coming in an hour. What did I need this shit for?

After some rather lengthy, rapid fire Cuban spanish with her friend (and guys if you don't know it, these people are very difficult to understand. Even In8's friend who was Mexican American and fluent was having a little difficulty) she looked at me and agreed to $30. I smiled and said $40 if she was really good. Then, it began. You should have seen her scan the room when she arrived...15 minutes early...not like a Cubana. I have had one of my regular drivers tell me when I offered him a gift that he was probably going to sell it. He wanted me to know that in advance.

The gifts that they seem to really like in my experience are photos of themselves and inexpensive watches. Upon return if I have given someone a cheap watch from the US they are still wearing it. I gave one (a watch) to a girl that I see repeatedly when I am there, it was a $20 Timex and you would have thought I gave her a 10 carat diamond. She couldn't stop looking at it.

Laptops, are an item that I have repeatedly been asked to bring in and they will buy them, to resale at a profit. Capitalism is alive and well in Cuba, in it's purest form. It is all about supply and demand.
