If your in Cambodia and looking for a change from Phenom Phen you might give Sianokville a go. Its a small seaside town (nice beach) about 2-3 hours by bus from Phenom Phen (pretty good rd too - esp for cambodia

There are some pretty good hotels (again for cambodia) in the main part of town, clean, ac, satelite tv hot and cold running water for about 12 USD a night - there was some sort of annaversary to do with the vietnam war when I was there and the cable tv had a vietnamese channel that showed Apocalypse now (in vietnamese) over and over again for about 10 hours - I bet there were some interesting choices of translation.. like maybe "love the smell of napalm" becoming love the smell of roast vietnamese
Girls..........
Well on to the action part of the report... there is a brothel village about 2k outside town (near the port) -ask any moto driver for "chicken village" most of the girls are attractive and about 20% are 7-9 with maybe even a 10 or so if your lucky - all in all a decent selection of young vietnamese and Khmer (cambodian) cuties for world beating prices
Short time about 5 bucks - but the room and toilet facilities available in chicken village can be a bit of a turn-off.. good for a test run before bringing a girl back to your hotel for a long time - 15-20USD. On the way to chicken village is a disco called Bibas - sort of a disco brothel with girls dancing (dressed) on the dance floor with numbers some good looking girls - didnt try short time but long time was 20 USD. - worth a look just for the menu - interesting list of sex prices right on it - no fucking around here
never seen it so blatant anywere in the world - even holland. There are also massage parlors in town (easy to find theres pretty much just one main rd and a crossrd with the market) - a bit more upmarket- not sure of details as i didnt visit them. I have heard that there is a new brothel strip right in town next to the market with mostly viet girls.
Overall I really enjoyed my trip to Cambodia - its a wackey and sort of dangerous place where anything seems likely but I had no trouble and met a lot of beautiful sweet girls and interesting expats there. - If you go to Sianokville I reccomend the Red Snapper (a rooftop bar) and the Blue Marlin (another bar) - good places to meet up with local expats and check out the scene.
TWO WORDS OF WARNING
- Cambodia could be a bit unsettling for some people - its fairly hard core third world and if your upset by poverty, filth, corruption, and terrible infrastructure maybe thailand would be a better choice. Also Cambodia has one of the worst aids rates in the world - its been improving with the new 100% condom effort by the government but working girls in cambodia still have reported aids rates of 30%-60% -IE its a dam good idea to use a condom each and every time in this country
Sorry if I make it sound bad - I actually like the place and had a good time - just want to show the downside of it and try and ensure that people act as safely as possible.
