I am not a newbie to Havana. The place sucked the last 3 times I was there this past year. To protest this crackdown, I voted with my wallet and went to better countries instead. However, this trip to Havana was more of a cigar event, so I went prepared for the worst, fully expecting problems, hassles, and with an eerie feeling I was being watched by Uncle Sam...

What I found was that the border situation was virtually unchanged. The US Customs and Immigration process was only slightly different then from before, with a few more questions, but no intense 'crackdown'.

Havana was greatly improved. There were many more girls out and around, both during the day and at night. Whereas a few months ago I might have to spend as much as THREE hours driving around to find a nice friend who needed a ride, this time it was just a matter of minutes. And the girls were pleasant too. Not the hardcore type I despise. Just nice girls who like to meet foreign guys and share some good times.

What I found quite refreshing was that none of the girls who needed a ride asked about money. None. I would simply invite them for a drink at our casa and/or a swim in the pool, and that was the end of it.

Some of the girls were good enough to permit photos, which I gladly took. The ones that gave me permission to show their pictures to my friends are here in this report. The ones that said no are not.

Everyone was wonderful to me. The girls were delightful to be with. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed their company.

Thank you for your report. The girls in Cuba are really unique and one finds some for all tastes. It is easy to tie relations which go well beyond simple sexual connections.
Exept the true prostitutes (jineteiras), there are many nice girls who only wish to know one foreign man and to pass good time with him. And good time in Cuba always finishes in bed! If one gives a small gift, it is welcome!

Manager I read of your problems in Rio. Terrible! You really should return with a friend and give it one more chance before writing it off. The women of Rio have so much to offer.

In the meantime, things are looking up in Cuba. I hope it lasts and/or continues improving. To be truthful, I would almost always prefer the casual laidback environment of Havana over the hussle of Rio. Are you planning to return to Cuba soon?
