First of all I MUST point out how beautiful Florence is. It is easily the most incredible city I've ever been to. I'm not an artsy kind of guy but the history in this city is incredible. You can spend hours walking around this city and I did literally spend hours walking around. I only took one taxi while I was there and that was only to go to the train station. I could have easily walked but the streets are incredible full.
It was "off season" but still the streets were lined with American and Asian tourists. All that I heard in the streets was American. The streets must be unbearable in the summer. The streets are very narrow and not designed for mass tourism.
I arrived by train from Milan and it's a very easy trip. The bus station is really quite organized. Just make sure you save some Euro pocket change though. The public restrooms here at the bus stations charge money to get into them. 0.60 Euros.
Florence isn't a city you go to hobby in. I honestly didn't expect to hobby here and only saw one girl the 3 days I was here. There are no clubs that I know of. The only action I could find was an internet site.
http://www.oasi2000.com/
Go to massaggi then to girls then click on Firenze. You should note that in Italy they don't call the city Florence. They call it "Firenze". There are some hot girls on that site. I had my cellphone from the US so I called a few girls. I got many voicemails and some didn't speak English so I passed. I did reach one girl who already was booked but luckily she spoke English and she offered up her friend. I asked for a description and the stats were to my approval. Her friend was a non-pro student from Rome. 24 years old and very plain to see she wasn't working. Her English was very good though. She told me her name was Veronica which could have been a lie but not sure and didn't care. Very pretty elegant girl.
It was pouring out so it was a good night to stay in. I gave her friend my hotel and room # and I had no problems when she arrived. They simply called my room and I told them to send my "friend" up. Price was not cheap at 250 Euros ($307 US) but she stayed several hours. In fact, we went two rounds and we both fell asleep. She did leave late in the morning though. It was perfect GFE sex and I couldn't have asked for a better time.
I think that website is going to be your best bet if you're in Florence. Unfortunately for me I went to Europe when the dollar was at an all-time low against the Euro. Still restaurants seemed inexpensive compared to Switzerland where everything is very very expensive.
There are plenty of money exchange places, all the places took credit cards. Florence is a very walkable city. Nothing is far and you'll never need a taxi. Everywhere you look is like a picture perfect postcard. Restaurants have great food. The downside is some of the waiters had bad BO (body odor). I was in a nice Italian restaurant and the waiter smelled like he had not taken a shower in ages. There were two American women sitting next to me. No words were spoken about this but we were thinking the same thing and shaking our heads.
Definitely hit this city at least one time in your life. You won't regret it.

Maybe we were there in Florence at the same time. I had not chance to check-out the night scene on this trip to Italy 'coz I went with my mother. I can most definitely say though, everyday I saw some real babes. In particular, long curly hair is popular there so I was in heaven. Italian women dress with flair too. I saw one Sophia Loren look-a-like on my first day in Rome too. Wow. She's always been near the top of my dream list. What eyes, what lips. In the 60's she was probably the sexist woman alive.
In addition to Florence and Rome, I visited Venice but if I were to choose a city to return to it would most likely be Naples. It's got a TJ feel to it and nearby Pompeii was were the Romans themselves often went to have "fun". There's a small cafe at the entrance/exit to Pompeii and there's a youngish curly-haired Italian there that was very beautiful. I have to laugh, one night while we walked back to our hotel a fire truck came screeming down the road to put a car fire which had just started a block and a half away. Well, my mom was so tired she didn't want to go see the action and I used that excuse to go see it but in the back of my mind I wante to go see what could be had in the "Inferno" establishment we had passed by the night before which was only a block from our hotel. There was blue neon lighted lobby with three youngish girls scantily dressed and I could see some curtained off area too. I walk by the three talking girls who were talking to the owner? and I poked my head around. One girl came to greet me. I lifted one finger, "Ok, one?" She nods and starts to tear off a huge amount of paper towels. I'm thinking, "Why so much? You think I'm going to unload that much???" Hehehe I'm think BJ shop or something like it, right? Well, she starts walking and I follow her to another part of the room which is more seculded and very hot. Oh good, more privacy! Wrong! It's a tanning shop! Well, I turned tails and left. Maybe I cut out of there too quickly though to know if a tan was the only thing on the menu.
BTW, I thought Italy was quite expensive, compared to the US. My mother got charged $6 for a cup of chocolate in Florence! I spent twice as much as I had planned and I was being rather frugal.
My mother had her backpack "pickpocketed" at dusk time in Florence but she said later she felt something and turned around just in time to scare off the two teens.
Also, we saw a band of gypsys on the very crowded Metro in Rome that were pickpocket pros.
Hey, Italy is worth seeing once, there is some amazing history and art to that country. Seeing the real "David" was breathtaking.

Hey Bingo. Yeah, it is not cheap there. That Euro conversion sucks with the dollar being at an all time low. Florence was much cheaper than Switzerland though. I spent more than I planned and I wasn't being frugal. A younger Sophia Loren is amongst my favorite looks. I just crave that Euro look. Italy definitely has some hot hot girls walking around and working in the stores. All were very friendly.
I never encountered any crime there as is usual with all my adventures but I did see crime. While I was walking down a small street I saw some kids steal something from a store and the owner was chasing them for a good 2 blocks. I didn't stick around to see if he caught them. Probably not.
Dusk is absolutely amazing on the footbridges of Florence. Especially the view from the Ponte Vecchio. The view from the Piazza Michaelangelo is breathtaking.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that I was going to hobby in Milan, Italy but just did the tourist stuff. Milan is a pretty city but can't really compare to the other cities I went to. Besides the Duomo area I didn't find Milan all that appealing.
There are tons of caberet type clubs but I think the best action can be found on the internet.

The only thing I can highly recommend about Milan is the hotel I stayed at. The Excelsior Hotel Gallia --

It was amazing. It is one of the Leading Hotels of the world which is always a good bet. True 5 star hotel that was very comfortable and very posh. Right near the train station too so if you're traveling by train it is very convenient. Also a great internet cafe one block away.

Hey Godfather! Thanks for all the reports on Europe. While it's unlikely that I'll be going there, it's nice to know what I'm missing.
By Godfather on Monday, December 08, 2003 - 06:43 am: Edit |
Hey Wombat. You're totally welcome. I hope you're doing well. I'm not sure if you're the same Wombat I met in Rio and Monteal but I assume so. I hope you're doing well and have a happy holidays.
I'm sure for most of the guys on Club Hombre these reports do no good but several guys from Europe have told me it has been helpful. I get kind of tired reading the same reports on BA and Rio and don't even read those sections anymore. Kind of burnt out on South America. I'm excited about Cuba next week. I'm trying to talk Seaman into going with me.
Expect more reports on Europe. Just booked a trip in May to Amsterdam, Paris and Prague. Happy holidays.

Godfather,
Never think that a report will not do anybody any good. Someone will always appreciate it.

Yes, it's me alright. Tired of South American reports, eh? Well, you could always come to Thailand with me.
I'm really glad to read about your Europe experiences. It's nice to know what I'm missing elsewhere in the world. Too bad you won't be in Spain, though. My pal, El Burro, assures me that good times are to be had there.
When you're getting ready for Amsterdam, let me know. While I can't join you, I can let you in on a little town in the north country that you will find most hospitible.
Have a merry one, buddy!

Great Wombat. Glad you're doing well and staying safe. No worries about Spain. I plan to hit Barcelona and Madrid in the fall. I hear there is some good action there. I'll definitely shoot you an email before going to Amsterdam. I've always wanted to hit those three beautiful cities.
Happy Holidays.

Well, remember to shoot me a message before you go to Spain. Hopefully, El Burro will still be there. If not, I can at least let you on to most amazing city park in the Europe (if not the world). You'll find out why later.

Firenze I love this city - Great food, and great wines. Puntering is not easy to come by. It does exist during summer. Mostly catering to -- You got it -- Japanese tourists
