Of interest, after I got home, I called Flori and apologized for leaving so abruptly. She told me how much she missed me and how much she looked forward to seeing me the next time I travel to Costa Rica.
About two weeks later, I received an e-mail from Flori. Unsurprisingly, she mixed up my e-mail address with some other guy who "showed her to a great time in the restaurants of Quepos and the beaches." Considering that we had 1 horrible time in 1 restaurant in Quepos, and we never went to the beach together, I knew that 'that person' wasn't me ... and I told her. Her response? She told me that she loves me more than anyone else ...
And, about two weeks after that, I received another e-mail. She told me how tough things were and how she need $200 US for the rent and utilities of her house. After all that, she finally asked me for more money.
Take it or leave it guys ... that's the last I've heard from her.
Costa Rica and Flori have truly changed me. I see things differently, and I respect relationships more. I also am more skeptical of relationships and - at times - wonder if I were in for any true danger if I were to have stayed through Sunday (the day that she had thought that I was leaving). Whatever the case, I still wish Flori all the best, and - to all of you - happy mongering ... and stay safe.

Great report and is must reading for everyone who may become involved with a chica.
You did well and understood what was happening with a good attitude. That will serve you well.
As you say, you wish her the best but us visitors to CR should stay safe and be aware.

I went to the multimedia section and looked at the photo of Flori.
I think I have seen her before at the Blue Marlin on my multiple visits. Never been with her however. "No soy puta?" I do not believe that nor do you.

Ace00, the fact is that this was my first trip to Costa Rica and I have only been at Blue Marlin twice ... the second time, seeing Flori. "No soy puta?" Obviously not. The bigger question is ... "soy un gringo tonto." Blinded man ... and, for a lot of the time, I kept trying to believe that there was a small possibility that she wasn't. As it turns out, she seems to have come from a whole family of putas.
