Chapter 7 – Thanksgiving in Rio


I’ve spent the last three major American holidays in Rio. Weather-wise, the best time is in September and October.

Anyway, Catacony and I meet for breakfast and plan to meet up later to go to Alcazar to see some guys. I’m hoping to run into a few that I haven’t seen since Sunday.

The three of us head down and sit at a table for a while. Mac is eating an omelet and Sweet staggers up. My girl isn’t feeling too well today. It seems they aren’t used to sleeping with air conditioning and I have been wearing it out. I give her a sinus pill and she departs leaving me free to go “around” with the guys. No Luomo though. I hope you guys understand the double meaning of my report title that is now shaping up.

A couple of us hop in a cab for downtown and head to 4 X 4. Afterwards, I meet back with my girl and we head to the hotel. I catch a little hell though because she thought I was going to be back sooner.

Today is Thanksgiving and we are meeting for the dinner at the hotel with some of the guys who are supposed to be bringing dates.

We arrive a little later than our reservations because I was taking care of some business, and the staff is trying to sort out our table arrangements. Grshl’s date has brought a girl for Catacony, and Sweetmesquite arrives with another man for dinner.

We all sit and enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with wine. I think my girl is finally growing on Sweet. Also, in the past, Sweet hasn’t exactly been her favorite friend of mine, but she finally admits that she likes Sweetie and thinks he is funny. It must have been all of the snoring displays he put on in the past.

Later, Cat and I head up to the room with our girls. Once in my room, my girl tells me she didn’t like that I said good-bye to the “puta” with Cat as she exited the elevator. It seems this girl was talking shit in Portuguese during dinner to her friend about how she just wanted to get her money and leave. I asked her why she didn’t tell me down there because I would have gone over and whispered in Cat’s ear. She’s just a freakin piranha as Cat said the next day.

Anyway, this calls for action. I dial up his room and give him the info to use as he pleases. He calls back in 5 minutes and told me he gave her $R20 and kicked her out. When I told my girl she just started laughing. There are too many girls in Rio to be putting up with that shit.
