Day 3: (Tuesday Dec. 2, 2003)
It was a long day and a frustrating one as well. If I had been able to fly into Medellin on Monday night, a friend who lives there would have shown me the sites and had promised me a great time. As it stood, I flew in the morning from BOG and took a taxi to a mall called Oviedo where my first appointment awaited. This place was crawling with hot babes, it was inspiring. Armenia is a small town, smaller than Pereira, but big enough to support at least two establishments of ill repute or "vaginodromos" as the cabbie refered to them. The word made me laugh outloud, I found that if you understand there are things said that are extremely descriptive and funny in Spanish. In this case vaginodromo would translate to something like vagina-dome, you had to be there. So, we head for the place he thinks is the best in town and it turns out to be closed, good thing too because it was located in a dark street and out of the way, looking back this could have easily turned into a dangerous situation if the cabbie or some shady individuals had wanted to rob me. So we head out to the second choice, a place right on the main street just past the city center heading out towards Cali. I apologize for the nebulous description, but it was dark and I was a bit disoriented, I even left my hotel without making a note of its name, it was a bitch getting back later. So he drops me off and wishes me luck, I walk into the place and there are about 20 girls in this small and dark bar. Two or 3 guys are there so I head for the bar, ask for a drink, and start a conversation with the bartender. Turn out this guy actually owned the place and gave me the scoop on how things worked. I could choose a girl and pay a 10KCP fine to go into one of the two rooms for some fun. The girls charged 30KCP for FS. I do not know anything about Armenia so it meant nothing to me, but if any of you go looking there, it may help you to find them. Dude - you never said you were going around Pereira? BTW, Manizales is just outside of Armenia. I will be going to Cali this Saturday - I have a girl form Pereira driving all the way down to Cali to see me (200 Miles) and bring me to Pereira and off to the natural hot springs in Manizales. I'm glad you posted some info as I hope to escape and do some adventure searching on my own. I speak very advanced, fluent spanish (with colombian accent), and I even look and try to dress like a spanish guy as to blend in - so I trust I will be okey. teh only thing that gives me away is that I attarct a lot of attention by my physical build of an Athletic football player. Colombian guys do not have that type of physique. Anymore info you can give me on Armenia - its right next to Pereira so I might just stop by if its worth the effort.

I heard the same thing about women form Pereira - thsi girls that is coming to see me I met via amigos.com and we have been talking for over 2 months via e-mail and phone conversations. Batman - I can't share much more about Armenia, other than to say that you should lower your expectations as it is nothing like Cali. I think Pereira is a bit bigger and therefore more cosmo, but also not like Cali. Who cares right? The women are hot all over, and with fewer mongers competing for the action. Remember that the place i went to was suppossed to move to another location, so rely on the local for the info. Also, if you are driving from Cali, make sure to stop at some of the roadside food joints, we had "caldo de gallina" at this one place that was out of this world, I didn't like the chicken, but the soup and the rest of the meal was awsome, and dirt cheap.
