Ok, my first trip to Cambodia 3 weeks ago was to Siem Reap, merely a side trip to see the Angkor Wat ruins. But who would have expected that I would become so smitten with Cambodia and all its hobbying wonders. On this trip, I wanted to really see Cambodia, Siem Reap was a bit touristy and not the hardcore excitement that I was expecting. So, my plan this trip is to fly into Siem Reap from BKK and then do an overland trip from Siem Reap, to Phnom Penh, and Sihanoukville. I allotted 14 days for this trip and what follows will be some travel info mixed in with some observations.

Even though I never took a road trip from PP to Siem Reap I was told it takes all day and the roads are very bad. My taxi driver in PP refused to take me Siem Reap on his car. I would make sure it is not too demanding on my body and I wont have broken ribs, bones, etc.

Jkarp, you're right, it was a horrendous experience and I posted a brief description. I wouldn't recommend it.
