I chose the Avianca direct flight from Miami on Friday January 4th rather than other choices which had stops in Bogotá, Barranquilla or Medellin. It was a very quick 2.5 hour flight. Uneventful, typical airline food but free drinks. Having flown in LA numerous times I learned a good trick regarding the drinks. I drink Scotch (whiskey in Colombia) so I ask for a double on the rocks and a second drink of Agua Pura sin gas (water without bubbles) con Heilos (with ice). This way, I get two drinks right away and still have time for a third when they come by for a second pass.

Fortunately, I arrived at the Miami airport about 2 1/2 hours ahead of schedule. I spent 5 minutes checking my luggage, getting my ticket and boarding pass at the Avianca counter. I spent the next hour or so having lunch and doing a little reading. I was also one of the first in the queue for the security check. Close inspection plus pat down. They made me take off my shoes and checked my briefcase and camera bags very closely.

On this trip, I happened to be traveling with a guy who works for me in Miami who grew up in CTG. I will refer to him as M for the rest of this report. He was traveling with his wife and two small children. He arrived at the Avianca counter area about an hour after I did. He waited in line almost an hour before he got his boarding passes and spent another 45 minutes getting through security. It wasn't a fun experience for him with an infant and an 18 month old antsy child who didn't want to be in his stroller.

TIP: Get there early if possible and avoid the long frustrating lines.

I was surprised to see that there was not a security inspection on bags being checked through. Also, I normally have my bags wrapped in plastic to prevent pilfering (even though I have combination locks on them) and to protect them from getting dirty or wet in case it is raining upon arrival. It costs $7 per bag but worth it if you have expensive luggage or valuables to protect. In my case, I had one bag full of gifts, make-up, photographic equipment and essentials like 20+ rolls of film, extra batteries, etc. Worth protecting! Since my trip included an element of business in CTG and the need to leave for Bogotá on business the following Monday. I also had to bring suits, ties, dress shirts and dress shoes etc. I guess it looked like I was going for a month but I really just had to carry a large variety of clothing.

We arrived at the CTG airport, cleared immigration (no problem), changed $100 at $1,900 CP s, got our luggage and went through customs (again, no problem). M's mother was waiting outside. I got through before M and his family so I went outside with my porter to visit with her. She gave me a big hug like I was a long lost son and told me how excited she was about seeing her newest grandbaby. M and his family came outside with their luggage and porter. Hugs, kisses, tears and I thought she was going to squeeze the breath out of the baby. The 18 month old also got his fair share of attention from grandma but was really more interested in the bag of M&Ms' his mom had given him to keep him occupied. After a few minutes we began the walk to M s parent's house. It is literally right across the street from the airport. Next time you go there, you can see it. It is the one with a silver colored high fence and gating around it.

Of course, we had to go inside and visit the brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends, relatives, neighbors etc. Everyone had to ooh and ahh about the children. Drinks and beers were being passed around, food and munchies were spread out on the table and it was turning into a real homecoming;

Ed. Note on M: M is a 40 year old native from CTG. He is now a US citizen as is his wife by marriage. He is a salesman working for me and is a very good one. Having grown up in CTG, he was a wealth of information and had many lifelong acquaintances and friends in the city. This proved invaluable as you will see.


This little event was turning into a family reunion with rapid fire Spanish flying everywhere. Ms' dad had suffered a stroke and his speech was impaired but he was one of the few there speaking slowly enough for me to understand. Ms' brother spoke English and we had a nice chat (I had met the entire family on my two previous visits). I guess M saw that I was getting a little uncomfortable in the family situation and made a call to a friend (D) who was going to take me to my hotel. M decided to join us. I checked into the Hilton (king room not available as reserved but one available the next day) and we decided to head out and check out some of the local places.

He tells me the locals think it is the best casa in CTG. Having read many differing opinions on several sites I am a little doubtful but agree to go anyway. We go through a rather industrial part of town, called the Bosque, and pull up to this little house in the middle of what appears to be a residential neighborhood. We walk in and I quickly gather he is very good friends with the mamasita. They hug and talk for a while and all the time she is pointing to different girls in the place. ONE BIG DIFFERENCE: There are only about 6 girls there and my recollection of other reports said there should be 20 or more. Also, there are no other male customers. What gives, I am thinking. Then I get the explanation from D. It is holiday season and all the girls have gone home to visit their families. ANOTHER REASON NOT TO GO TO CTG DURING THE HIGH SEASON. This and similar experiences would continue to bear out that observation. There was one fairly cute one with gargantuan tits but I just wasn't up to a ST on premise. I wanted one to take back to the hotel and she just didn't measure up to my expectations. The mamasita even jumped on her bicycle to try and find one more to my liking, but the chica she had in mind had gone to her home as well.

We also went to Casas Marino, private party there; and drove past Manila House which appeared to be closed; and, drove past International; real seedy looking place and I did not feel one bit comfortable going in, so we dropped M at his house and (D) and I went back to Boca Grande to try LDV. He told me not many locals go there because the girls are more expensive and so are the drinks. I did the quality pitch but it got lost somewhere in translation.

We walked in and there were about 5 guys and 15 women. Mostly 5-6 s but a couple of 7s' lurking, dancing and chatting with each other. I sat at the bar with D and had a beer while we scoped out the place. He kept telling me and demonstrating to me that all you had to do was make eye contact and they would be right over by your side. One chica was making the rounds approaching every guy in the place. She was also being turned down by every one of them. Pretty good bet something was wrong because she wasn't bad looking. I joined the "in crowd" and turned her down as well. Not much was catching my eye for some reason. I was just about ready to leave when in walks a very attractive blond with...yes, big tits. Remembering that D had told me all you had to do was make eye contact with any one of them and they would come over, I smiled and made eye contact and invited her to join us.

Ana Yilena (AY from Bogotá) [01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19] greeted me with a big hug (I was a goner) and a peck on the cheek. I offered her a beer and we sat and chatted for a while. The usual, where you from, how long in CTG, are you married, kind of questions. (BTW, they don't mind if you are married). I told her I was there on vacation but I was also writing articles for a few magazines and taking pictures of people and places in the city. She was intrigued. I told her I would like to take pictures of her and she immediately agreed. We discussed a price ( D helped to translate) for the rest of the night plus pictures tonight and tomorrow. We agreed on 120K CP (about $55 dollars).

Tip: When selecting girls from LDV, take them outside where you can get a better look at them. The lighting in LDV enhances their looks. AY turned out to be not as pretty as she was inside with all the different lights but had a very nice body as you will see. From this night on, anytime I saw something of interest inside, I always asked them to go outside, so I could get a better look at them. Saved me a lot of time and money.

We got back to the Hilton and started to get ready for some photos (I might also add, I had forms (in Spanish) filled out and signed by each person I photographed with model data information as well as a standard photographic release. It essentially said they were being paid for modeling and that the photographs were my property.) The data sheets also gave me phone numbers, e-mails, hobbies, age and real names;

Tip: you should always check and verify ID for age, and other pertinent information. You get real names (as most of them give you their fictitious names).

I broke out the make-up and asked her to remove her clothes so I could look at her. In seconds she was naked and I had her standing on the bed taking a close look for blemishes, scars and so forth. (I was later to find that many of these girls have scars from accidents that would normally require stitches or other surgery but because of the cost, were never done). AY had a couple of scars that I covered with make-up. I also gave her some eye shadow, lip liner, powder and mascara and asked her to go and put on some make up for the photos. Lastly, I handed her the requisite razor and told her to shave. (Note: no problems with misunderstanding where I wanted her or anyone else to shave. Colombian women do not shave their legs. So, it's either their arm pits or their pussys). Fifteen minutes later she emerges, looking pretty good in her make-up and very cleanly shaven. I notice a tattoo just over her pussy and go for a closer look (hadn't seen it on inspection as it was covered) It was the pyramid with the eye of God from the back of a US dollar bill. I got several good close-ups. AY turned out to be a very willing model. Nothing she wouldn't do or show. Even got excited when I pulled out a pocket rocked and giggled when I pulled out a second one. We probably took over 100 photos that night. Her ample body was quite fun and her lovemaking skills quite adept. Nothing left to the imagination and I had her three times between night and morning.

I've been in CTG less than 3 hours and I am already doing a lovely chica. You have to love this city!
