Bangkok airport
Arrived about midnite. It was pretty crowded but there were about 10 immigration lines going so it went pretty fast. I stood behind a family of 5 cause I thought they’d go through like one but it ended up taking the time of 5 people.
Picked up my luggage and passed right thru customs.
I looked up and down the aisle for the taxi stand. There were several and didn’t really see a difference other than one booth had 3 young girls in it. I went over there. It was 650B and if I booked a return trip, I could have gotten a 10% discount. The girl gave me a ticket and pointed to another booth, a yellow booth. I waited about 5” and a taxi guy came to get me. I was on my way. He asked if I wanted to take a toll road that would be quicker, it was another 40B. It took about 15-20” to get to the hotel.

Do not go to Taxi stand or listen to ANY touts inside the airport. Go all the way to your left and outside is the Public Taxi stand. Taxis use meter to BKK. Usually about 150 baht or so. No tip required. If you take the tollway you do pay the toll. After midnight the tollway is not that much faster than the expressway below it. If you are scrambling to beat bar closing time the toll is money well spent !!
