I stayed at the Grand President Hotel on Soi 11 off Sukhumvit, near Nana Plaza. I made a reservation via Orbitz and confirmed directly with the hotel. They were very responsive. It cost 1358B/night.

You can check out the President hotels at http://www.grandpresident.com and there’s a drop-down-arrow to switch amongst the different hotels. You can book your reservations there too, I think I didn’t book it there because the website doesn’t have the https for security so I think that’s why I did it thru Orbitz.

They have 3 towers. The 1st tower has the registration, a restaurant, the internet café. The 2nd tower has the fitness center and pool, although I think the other towers have pools also, and a Japanese restaurant. The 3rd tower is where my room was.

Wow, for a moment I thought I read 13588 / night. It is actually 1358.

Excellent choice, great hotel IMO with good amenities. If you book the studio room and get there late or their busy, they're very good about upgrading you to a bigger room.

I will be staying at Grand President my last two nights of my trip and it might be my new digs every time in BKK. I love the Dynasty Inn for its convenience but the girls at Nana immediately assume every encounter is short time because its so close to their work. It's way too easy for them to go back to work, bf, pimp or otherwise. I will take some pics for perspective.

Merlin, exactly right about the upgrades. Upgraded me from a studio to a rather large one bedroom. Told me first, it would only be for the first day but then it turned out to be the entire 6 day stay for the studio price.

Great place.
