Club 101, 101 Yitzhak Sadeh, Tel Aviv. Two blocks east of the intersection with Hamasger. The street in between Hamasger and the club, running perpendicular to Yitzhak to the north, is Soncino, which has about 4 clubs, at least that I could identify just from walking by. I didn't try any of those.

Club 101 is a real interesting place. I only hit it one night but I can see why it is considered to be one of the better clubs in Tel Aviv.

It's in a basement and like most of the sex clubs, there is fairly bright signage indicating more or less what the deal is. You walk in and there is a large reception area. Now, this is a true bordello, and I'll describe it so you can imagine it in detail. It is very well lit (too well lit probably) and as you walk in, the door is in a corner. Immediately to your left is a row of 8 leather, high-backed arm chairs, almost like a bank of little throans. This is where the girls sit. At the opposite end of the room from you is the front desk and to the right and is a large sectional-style sofa and chairs, that wrap around one full wall and part of another. This is where the guys sit. So, you walk in, and basically grab a seat.

It's a Mexican standoff at this point. The girls do not approach you, they just kind of sit and you make eye contact with the one you want. It's kind of surreal, with a wall of Russian hookers on one side and a wall of Israeli Arabs and your's truly on the other side. Kind of uncomfortable, particularly if there isn't a suitable girl right there when you walk in and you wait for something better to come in. Next time, I may actually take a newspaper or something along, it's weird, like being at the doctor's office almost. All the guys look over when a girl walks in to see if she's doable or not.

The girls are all shapes and sizes, some blonde, some dark haired. After about 10 minutes of chillin with the Palastinians I decide on this one girl who I had eyeballed a couple of times. Now, this was my fourth bombing run in four nights, so I had picked up the Russian chick style by now. As I've said before, you need to have your non-verbal communcations skills down for this joint. Either that, or learn some Russian or maybe Hebrew, although even though the girls are Jewish (at least the ones I did said they are), I doubt if they know much Hebrew at all.

The places all seem to run on volume - as you can tell by the little trashcan in each room, each with at least a couple of rubbers in them. These are real hot pillow bordellos, but the service rocks. So if you did want an all-nighter, the price may be a bit high. A better bet would be just like Rio, try and schedule something directly with the girl for the next day or on her day off.

There is no entry fee for 101, the fee for the girl was around $45 for a half hour.

Ah, the memories you brought back of Club 101, and it isn't even the best place in Tel Aviv. The handiest thing about 101 was that it is open in the early afternoon (11AM or noon till 4AM). Less than 5 before 2PM, 2 to 4 more by 2PM, a few more come by 4PM and the late night shift arrives BY 8PM -- best selection and highest number. Fell in love with Mother Russia. Tel Aviv is number 2 on my list of favorite monger destinations (GIG is 1, BKK is 3), and Russians are number 2 next to brasileiras. TLV is very safe (except for the random bombing). And best of all, Jerusaleum and Israel (well, not such much TLV) is a great tourist destination that I want to visit again soon for a 4th time -- and I'm not a Jew or a Christian or a Muslim.

These clubs are probably the only place where you will see Arabs and Jews (some in military uniform) sit side-by-side (or, at least, near each other) and go right after one another.

If you want to see where the poor (migrant workers and Arabs and even Jews) go, try the area between the old and new bus stations. $10 for half an hour (more like 15 minutes, and you get what you pay for -- the old, fat, ugly, etc.). There might be a misplaced diamond in the rough there. This might be the livliest part of town on the Sabbath: good for 1-3 hours, depending of your tolerance for slumming it. It's also the most rundown part of TLV, the underbelly, the ThirdWorldtown of TLV. For me, nonetheless it was a very interesting place sociologically-speaking. Believe it or not, the train station is even more bottom of the barrel than this area.

Holy shit. I read your section on 101 before your introduction and the ensuing shit you stirred. Not cheap by GIG or BKK standards, but a lot of fun, nonetheless. And don't underestimate the tourism stuff, which gives you something else to do.

Just to add a little note as to how these places work: after you "choose" a woman, you go with her to the room, and you discuss (she will tell you) what she will do and you can tell her what you want.
