This is trip report for my trip to Rio. I am not going to bore you with useless details of the trip. I know what I like to get out of every trip report I read. I read to learn about Rio—basically 2 things I want to take away from a report: an account of all the bad shit that happened and all the mistakes made to warn people and of course the pictures of the fine ass girls. Technically I am a newbie, I didn’t feel like one though since I learned so much from all of the vets on this and other boards.

Here is a short breakdown of the terma action that you can expect in Rio. I only visited these places since they are some of the more popular places to get a hot garota at a fixed price. Some of the other places to get some are Termas 65, termas 35, Centaurius, but I did not bother going there. Centaurius is very high end in price and the girls are stunning, the only problem is that the girls are real “pros.” That basically means more than just working for a while, the pros are the ones that are not afraid to ask for stuff, often times upfront and quite blatantly. Termas are cool; they have a bar, sell cigarettes, offer food and also have a real masseuse. I have had it happen to me a few times where a pro would ask me for a pack of cigarettes after a session, if it isn’t a simple juice drink or even red-bull (incidentally Brazilians LOVE red-bull, and it is expensive down there, about R10, so be warned—they add up…) I usually pretend to not understand what they are saying and if that doesn’t work just offer them a drink... this whole decision is up to you, there is no real harm in getting a drink or a pack of smokes for a girl if 1. You like her and 2. You had a good session with her. My own preferance is to have those 2 criteria covered before I buy them anything. It is rare that I get them a drink before a session—unless I know I am going to take them. A major red flag is when a garota drinks a lot. I had a buddy who had a girl that had 4 beers and when he went in for the session she fell asleep after 15 minutes!!! Un-fucking real!!! I knew someone else that had a girl ask for him to buy her shoes before they even had a session.

L’uomo--Rua Siqueira Campos
Facilities / amenities: steam room / sauna, a real massage pro on site.
Pros / Cons: Hot girls at a fair price, about $60US-1 hour small room, a great variety of girls, very very clean facilities and good music/ somewhat smaller than I thought it would be though.

4 x 4--44 Rua Buenos Aires Centro (down-town Rio)
Facilities / amenities: steam room / sauna, massage pro on site, 2 bars and TV lounge with reclining beach chairs.
Pros / Cons lots of room in the Boites-2 of them. Girls are pretty good too, opens at 2 pm, which is good—most termas open at 4 pm. The place is in downtown Rio so it is basically designed for businessmen and caters to their needs. It gets unbelievably crowded at around 5 to 6pm until close so the key is to get there at 4pm and find a girl you like. The girls are a little catatonic early on in the day and just sit around like zombies from 2-5 but they come to life around 5 pm.

Terma 61--Centro (down-town Rio)
Facilities / amenities: I don’t know—did not bother to look—only went there once and will never go again.
Pros/cons: Nice size boite, very very cheap--$30 US for a lay—not bad unless of course you are like me and prefer not to see beetles and cockroaches crawling up the walls of the showers or in the room while you’re fucking. The selection of girls is all over the chart too. I actually saw my first fat Brazilian safada!

Solarium-- Rua JJ Seabra 21 Jardim Botanico
Pros/cons: nice facilities and an awesome selection of girls / it was a little small—much like L’uomo. A fucking hike to get to though! It will run you about R15 for a cab out there so if a taxi driver does not have a meter tell him upfront that you will only pay R15. They will agree to that price.

Monte Carlo
Pros/cons: nice facilities and a very nice crew of girlies. Not a small place—bigger than solarium and L’uomo but not as big as 4x4.

A word of advise, unless you plan on having a room for 2 hours or more, don’t bother getting the rooms with Jacuzzis, by the time the damn thing fills up with water your hour is over.
Sometimes you might find yourself waling into a Terma to get a quick peek before you pick one to talk to and you get approached (or even harassed by one that just chooses you) A great way to avoid being snatched up by a girl too soon without knowing what else is there is to simply stay cool, play along with the pushy one but stay alert and the minute you see a garota you like just ask the one you don’t want to get her for you and usually the one you don’t want will get the hint and disappear. I hate hurting any girls feelings (even though they may be a whore) so I do things that way—I find this method easier than sitting there and explaining to a pushy garota why you aren’t interested in her in my pigeon Portuguese! Sometimes just saying no thank you works too… :0)
