After my first trip to Thailand in February I realized this place fit me like a glove. I decided to use BKK as my Asia gateway.
One reason to start here was flights in/out. I had MANY more options on EVA Air, the tix were the same or less then flights to MNL and I receive more miles per flight. So, to recap, more miles, more options and less money!! Such a deal.
It also cost a LOT less to buy tix for a BKK-MNL-BKK flight then for a MNL-BKK-MNL flight. On average, about $100 less. This means flying to BKK saves me money for both legs of the trip…
Last, but not least, variety offered. Not only are there more venues (Patpong, Nana, Soi Cowboy, etc.), but there are more options as well (Eden Club, soapies, beerbars, etc.). Since I’d explored most of the nooks and cranies in AC I decided Thailand was the ticket for me. Granted, it was more expensive, but FAR more fun!!
